Consumer Complaint: Unable to remember date, I have XXXX accounts with Capital One. I mistakenly made a XXXX payment to the incorrect account listed on website. I alerted the company. They informed that a procedural investigation will have to be conducted. That process took almost XXXX weeks. Finally they applied my credit payment to card XXXX, but for some reason XXXX credits were applied to my account XXXX, XXXX. Their system appears to be charging me for the double credit that I did not spend. I have a XXXX credit limit, I was told that the system would not allow me to spend more than my credit limit, so confusing. Because I only owed XXXX, but I remitted a payment of XXXX, where is the credit for remainder. If I spent over that, the overage should have covered the transactions, therefore, I need to know why I owe XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I recently reviewed a copy of my credit report and I noticed the following hard inquiries. I never filled out an application for credit and upon doing my research I noticed that this is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. This Act states that the only reason to pull an individual 's credit is for the following reasons : XXXX. A firm offer of credit XXXX. Insurance XXXX. Application for employment XXXX. A Court Order The following hard inquiries are not related to any of the following, I have never given these companies permission to use or have my personal information. If you refuse to remove these hard inquiries, I will move forward and ask for legal verification which would include ; the name and title of the person who pulled my credit, date they purport that I gave permission to have my credit pulled, the method they purport that I gave permission to run my credit. Please include documentation of said permission. If you can not provide me with this information, remove these incorrect hard inquiries from my credit file as soon as possible. I have attached my police report to this dispute.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I applied for XXXX balance transfer requests. The first request was balance transfer from XXXX Bank in the amount of {$750.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXXe Bank. The second was for {$320.00} from XXXX XXXX to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX Bank. On XX/XX/2023 both balance transfer amounts showed up on my XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) so I assumed both transfers were complete. On Friday XX/XX/2023, I received a check in the US mail that was for XXXX Bank in the amount of {$320.00} however it used my address as their place of business ( see attached check ). At yhat point I checked my balances at XXXX and XXXX which both indicated a transfer had not occurred and I still owed them the balance transfer amounts. I then called XXXX and spoke to a representative and explained my confusion on receiving an invalid check and my concern for being charged on my XXXX account for transfers that they had not yet paid resulting in me now owing Mercury, XXXX, and XXXX for the same charges. She understood my concerns but stated there was nothing she could do to personally fix the problem and would have to send my concerns to the fraud section. I expressed that wasn't acceptable to me and asked to speak to her supervisor. She transferred me to XXXX, employee # XXXX. I explained the scenario and she offered a resolution that was not acceptable at first. She then cancelled the balance transfer for the check amount and said that would show up on my XXXX account XXXX to 5 days which I accepted. However, I was still concerned about the other transfer.. To the poinXXXX I do not believe it is legal or ethical to charge for XXXX to bill for a transfer that has not been completed, which has happened in both XXXX and XXXX scenarios above. The credit for check has not shown up on my account to date and I still owe XXXX, XXXX and XXXX for the charges.

Consumer Complaint: Please reference case XXXX. Although your office has closed this case it is obvious no one has seen to the matter I delineated in my complaint. The gist is that Capital One has repeatedly ignored my the substance of my correspondence with them. I need PROOF that I agreed to XXXX XXXX XXXX 's terms at the time I became a subscriber of there service. That is they must provide a dated signed copy of the contract I entered into that allows them to keep the entire months fee rather than prorating that fee based on my cancellation date. This has been ignored REPEATEDLY. The last thing I received was a few pages that XXXX XXXX XXXX supplied that they think is sufficient. It is not. There was NOT the signed copy of the contract I require. It appears they sent a copy of the last bill they sent me along with a few assorted pages. ALL OF THE PAGES received are COMPLETELY UNREADABLE! Please review these pages and you will see just that that NO ONE could possibly read them. Therefore I have not received any justification for XXXX XXXX XXXX to attempt to charge me the entire months fee. As I have pointed out to you previously Capital One simply passes on this eyewash and denies my dispute. In addition as I've since seen on your website Capital One is banned from charging fees/interest in this dispute, but as of today XXXX XXXX they are doing just that to the tune of {$74.00} thus far. Someone needs to get their attention! I have been way more than reasonable in this matter. I have spent hours on the phone with Capital One, composed letters, emailing these letters at least 4 times. I was informed these emails were not forwarded to the dispute resolution team as they should have been so I again submitted my documentation, this time through their inconvenient " link '' process. Again, no one will address my issue at hand. How can these corporations be allowed due business in this manner?? Why is it that a convenient email can not be used to communicate with them.? It is obvious that they throw up as many roadblocks as possible to have someone " just give up ''. So, I am again requesting that your office make Capital One and XXXX XXXX XXXX do their jobs and provide me with the proof I require or admit that their claim is invalid. Please, please, please spend the time required to ensure they do just that. Thank You Very Much For Your Time

Consumer Complaint: I have a Capital One Auto Account listed on my credit report that doesn't belong to me. I have sent in a debt validation letter to Cap One and my letter was ignored several times. I also sent in a ftc report because I was a victim of identity theft. I asked for the original contract with my wet signature as well as an audit trail of all accounting in regards to the origination of the so called loan and I never received anything in return. I demand that this account get removed from my credit report as soon as possible before I take legal actions. This account has been hurting my reputation with the banking system and I need this cleared from my credit report immediately. This account does not belong to me and I need capital one to stop reporting this fraudulent account and remove it from their records immediately

Consumer Complaint: I made a payment before the due date and I know for a fact there was funds in the account and capital one returned said payment the day before my due date after processing it for a week, however they did not reach out to me or call me to let me know there was an issue with the payment and the they charged me a late fee for an account with restricted access without even telling me they returned a payment. When I called I asked them why they returned the payment they couldnt give me a valid answer. I told them Id payoff the balance but I wasnt paying the late fee they charged me and they wont refund it to the capital one account so Ive paid off my XXXX balance but theres still a {$32.00} balance in there because of the fees they charged me that I shouldnt have to pay.
