Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX to XX/XX/2023 I was charged XXXX dollars on my master card, I did not make purchase, I live in XXXX purchase was made in XXXX. I called company they said they would investigate, they did not, I recieved letter that I was responsible. This made me so angry, I cancelled card. I realalize I should not have cancelled card, they sent me a new card, which I don't intend to use. I have had good credit and paid bill on time, never late, I do not appreciate being treated this way. XXXX dollars may not be much to others, but I am on a fixed income, that money can be used for other things. I hope you can help me, and don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2021 I added an authorized user to my account. In XX/XX/2021, I removed the authorized user. I asked Captial One to stop using the closed Capital One credit card to report positive on the former authorized user. Now, I am getting credit card offers in the authorized user 's name because of my credit card. I asked that they stop reporting my credit card usage to the former authorized user. They have not. Now I am concerned with privacy issues because my positive credit is still being reported to the former authorized user credit report.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 around XXXX or XXXX XXXX I noticed that there was an inquiry on my credit report showing for both XXXX XXXX and XXXX so initially the next morning I called XXXX XXXX and XXXX and I told them that this inquiry was not authorized by me, and therefore should be removed I was then instructed that I need to contact capital one so thats what I did. I contacted Capital One and Capital One said XXXX we have no records of any inquiries that were placed on your credit. Therefore we cant send a letter to XXXX XXXX and XXXX disputing this because theres nothing on file saying that you apply for credit I then contacted XXXX and XXXX XXXX once again on that same call and had the capital one representative explain what was going on however, I received no help. I only received the runaround. I was hung up on me and the capital one agent, and at the end of everything I was told that the capital one agent had to get off of the phone because they cant do conferences at XXXX. I spoke with a XXXX XXXX from XXXX, who instructed me that the only way the inquiry could be removed, was from a letter which capital one could not provide so now I am contacting the CFPB to get this inquiry removed from both my credit consumer reports because it is fraudulent and it was an authorized by me.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a high interest bearing Money Market 360 account with Capital One Bank many years ago. I recently logged in and calculated my interest rate for my account it was 0.8 %. Formerly it was over 4 %. I contacted Capital One Bank to determine why the interest on my account was now so low when the advertised rate is 4.3 %. They stated I would need to open a 360 Performance Savings Account to get that rate. My issue is that Capital One stopped paying competitive interest on legacy accounts without notifying customers that they would need to open new accounts to obtain competitive interest rates. This has likely cost me hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the time period they made this unannounced change to my interest bearing account. I can only imagine how much Capital One has profited by downgrading existing formerly advertised high yield savings/money market accounts without notifying the customer of the change or the ability to change to a comparable high interest account. In effect, Capital One has been cheating customers for an undetermined length of time. There is nothing to stop them from doing this again to cheat customers and pocket the difference until the customer happens to check their investment.

Consumer Complaint: I booked a flight through the Capital One travel portal, using my Capital One Venture X Business Card. I booked a " fully refundable '' fare, and I have included the email I got after booking confirming that, as well as the cancellation email confirming that. But when I had to cancel the flight, Capital One did not refund me. Instead, they gave me a travel credit that can only be used through the Capital One travel portal, and I have closed my credit card, so there's no way for me to use that. I know this is not an issue with the XXXX XXXX -- this is an issue with Capital One, because I have booked a fully refundable ticket directly with XXXX XXXX before, and they do indeed provide a cash refund when you cancel. This is an issue where Capital One is being deceitful.
