Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I woke up to 130+ transactions totaling to over {$2500.00} appearing in the XXXX XXXX ( App by XXXX for XXXX XXXX XXXX for my XXXX account that I did not recognize or authorize. XXXX features a payment service called XXXX XXXX that allows users to send money to other users on XXXX. My belief is that someone logged into my account and used it to send money to accounts I did not recognize. The manner in which someone was able to do this is not known to me. What I do know is that I did not authorize or make any of these transactions. The transactions were sent to three different XXXX accounts, all which appear to have since been deleted or deactivated from the XXXX platform. The names that appeared on the accounts that money was sent to were " XXXX XXXX '', " XXXX XXXX '', and " XXXX XXXX ''. Again, I do not recognize these accounts and did not authorize any transactions through XXXX pay to these accounts. In fact, I did not make any XXXX XXXX transactions on XX/XX/XXXX. The unauthorized payments charged 4 payments options which were behind a XXXX account that I had linked to XXXX XXXX Of these 4 payments options, 2 of them were capital one credit cards- a Savor card and a XXXX card. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a fraud claim for all of the above mentioned unauthorized transactions charged from XXXX through XXXX onto these 2 Capital one Cards. They changed my card numbers and summitted 2 fraud cases ( one per account ) for me covering all of the unauthorized transactions. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I have received notification from capital one that both of my fraud claims have been denied due to " insufficient evidence ''. The reason stated for both denials is that the " Information we discovered leads us to believe you or another account user benefitted from the transactions. '' This is absolutely false. These transactions were not made by me, the sole user of my account. I do not share my account with anyone else nor have I revealed or given my password to my XXXX account to anyone else I know. Again, I did not recognize any of these transactions. I do not have a lot of tools at my disposable to provide additional evidence of this, but I suspect XXXX ( XXXX ) would be able to provide some. Unfortunately, despite repeated attempts to get in touch with XXXX, I have been unable to receive any support. As suggested by a Capital one agent, I filed a police report for this fraud with my local sheriff 's office on XX/XX/XXXX. I feel that I have exhausted my options as a consumer and have honestly lost faith in systems that I felt had safeguards to protect me from fraud. I feel this was pretty candidly fraud and unfortunately, it seems capital one does not agree. Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to catch up on payments since I retired on XX/XX/XXXX. I was XXXX XXXX XXXX prior to that date. I could not continue to work due to XXXX. Between late charges and interest fees I can not catch up. I applied for social security and received it in XXXX. I have applied for XXXX and am waiting for a response. I can not keep up with payments on our current credit cards and my credit score continues to decline. My husband is almost XXXX XXXX XXXX. We can not pay our daily living expenses. I am told I have to pay by today and by XX/XX/XXXX and we can't as I don't get a check until XX/XX/XXXX. I had to set a {$400.00} payment for that date so I can't pay my other bills. I am working to pay off all our other bills with XXXX XXXX XXXX but we are back in debt the same amount I am trying to pay off. We want to pay our bills, we just can't. I have worked since I was XXXX XXXX XXXX. I worked my way through high school and college. There is no way to get out of this whole it seems. We don't go out to eat, we don't go on vacations, and have a XXXX XXXX. We have an old refrigerator, a washing machine that is falling apart, and don't have central heat or air. Consumer Complaint: Capital One XXXX Who I have been a customer with for 10yrs or more decided to freeze my card due to suspicious behavior. They have given me the run-around in my NUMEROUS ( 5 ) attempts to resolve the problem. I no longer afford my own internet and they would not accept the phone I was wanting to use to receive their confirmation # 's. I also changed my address to much issue with the USPO, now resolved ; and they refused to accept my notices of change of address. I have continued to pay off the card, which they have accepted to no avail of a resolution. I even went and made copies of my IA drivers license and sent it with the confirmation code given to me by them. They confirmed receipt but refuse to talk to me as the card owner and tell me what the problem is even about. " the card is smudgy '' They have even recently charged me interest on a paid in full account and refuse to tell me why. I have tried everything in my power and feel harrassed and disrespected by them all in the name of " protecting '' the very person they are in a contractural agreement with. This has taken up hours of my time and I am still unable to resolve this. I dont feel sending my ID in the mail is an option.

Consumer Complaint: I always make all of my credit card payments on time but in XXXX of XXXX whenever I would log into my account, at least once a week, the website showed I didn't have a payment due. This went on for several weeks and at some point, the company 's website went down because it was switched to a different platform. By the time I was finally able to log back in which was not more than a week after the last attempt, the account was showing as 30 days past due. I have never made any of my credit card payments late and when I tried explaining to the company what had happened and how I was misled, the company did not care. I have tried disputing this error on my credit report with all three major credit bureaus for over a year but have not been successful.

Consumer Complaint: I had been paying my credit card as agreed with 100 % on time payments. I just found out my card was charged off. When I called they said that no other purchases had been made but they had charged me a fee and then subsequently late fees and interest. No statement was sent to my address on file at any time. I did not become aware that any payment was owed until a credit monitoring service notified me that my score was destroyed. CapitalOne charged off a completely good standing and inactive account without any purchases having been made. The amount charged off was 100 % fees and interest with no principal. No statement was ever sent to me. No collection call was ever made to me. I had not used the card and had absolutely no way to know this was happening.
