Under 15 USC 1666b a creditor, may not treat a payment on a credit accounts, under and open end a consumer credit plan as late for any purpose.

Consumer Complaint: First of all, I wouldnt need to file a complaint on here if you could just answer your phones. I tried calling on two separate occasions each time it tells me that my whole time is more than 20 minutes OK I dont have 2030 minutes to just sit around on hold maybe capital one does but Im busy, and now youre taking up more of my time. This is terrible customer service. If you look at this account, I have a balance of {$29.00}. If you go back I have made numerous purchases from a company called XXXX. They were supposed to come out and do work for me but they never showed up. This went on and they just kept billing me over and over and over again I eventually came to the bank and asked for help, whenever you sent the dispute to the company, they immediately refunded every transaction except for this one transaction your guess is as good as mine as to why they left this one transaction out. When I noticed that I called you and I said whats going on and the woman I spoke with apologized and shes like Ill resubmit it and Im sure itll be fine. But guess what the {$29.00} is back and you want me to pay it you have not given me any information as to why this one transaction would not have been disputed or why its showing up on my bank account but the company never came to do any of the work They closed my account whenever I disputed the transaction Why do I still owe {$29.00} why are you not disputing it and if youve exhausted all of your efforts which I havent seen any evidence of, but if you have the baby its time for the bank to cough up {$29.00} and not make the consumer Have to pay for something they didnt get your supposed to be there to protect the consumer. I have good credit I pay my bills I dont have any issues I did my part I reported it I did everything you asked me why are you not doing your part now

Consumer Complaint: the issue I would like to report is related to ATM error, I Deposit {$3300.00} but it just show {$3100.00}. On XX/XX/2023, XXXXXXXX XXXX I went to XXXX, NJ Capital One branch, and using the machine XXXX to pay my credit card debit. I have to pay {$3300.00}, so that's why I bring a cash and pay for it, but the ATM machine has error, when I deposit {$3300.00}, the ATM just accept XXXX XXXX, then i press deposit and keep deposit the money, but at the end of the processing, I found out the amount is not correct, it divide to few transaction, {$1000.00}, {$700.00}, and {$1400.00}, {$200.00} is missing, then I call the customer service right the way when I still in the branch, and the give me a temporally credit. because I also work in a bank, I know the procedure, they have to audit the ATM machine, and make sure the amount is match, so I never worry about it. They took a temporally credit back after 10 days, they said after investigation, they couldn't found the money. I count the money few times after I made a deposit, so I am sure the amount is correct. and it was happen on Sat, I asked them when they did a audit? in this month, how much customer dispute for the incorrect amount? do they have a regular check up for the machine, and when I deposit the money, the machine has issue, keep return me back the money, and didn't deposit it correctly, that's why it divide a few separate transaction, but the customer service said, they couldn't do anything, even complaint, that's doesn't make sense. The investigation is totally not transparency, even I asked them they can checked the cam to see when I deposited the Money, the machine has issue. I know I may not give my money back, but it's really not fair to the customer. I lost {$200.00}, if they did a audit I don't believe it will show the right balance.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX states on my credit report that I owe them {$170.00}. I called the company and spoke with XXXX who informed me that my name nor my social security number is in their records. This conversation was on XX/XX/23 around XXXXXXXX XXXX. I then filed a dispute on my credit report through XXXX. Capital One Credit Card states on my credit report that I owe then {$480.00}. I called the company and the same answer - no record of my name nor my social security number is in their records. I do not have an account number and again spoke to Capital One fraud department. I called XXXX and spoke to XXXX who put me through to the fraud department. I spoke with XXXX in the fraud department who suggested I file a complaint through the FTC.gov which brought me to this website on Consumer Affairs. I see there are two social security numbers reported on my credit report. The first one ending in XXXX is the correct one. The second social security number ending in XXXX is NOT my social security number. I asked for this to be deleted however, with the disputes they are seeing if this number is the one with the fraud. I am trying to clean up my credit and finding that their is possible fraudulent accounts opened in my name. How can companies not have a record of my name and social security number but it shows up on my credit report, thus affecting my credit score. I need these accounts looked into and cleaned up! I just moved to XXXX and have provided my current address. Consumer Complaint: There were multiple fraud charges made on this account that was reported in time to Kohl 's Fraud team. They removed the charges, issued a new card. Then the charges came back to my account with no explanation on the resolution. I contacted them, they took the charges off temporarily, then months later they put them back on. This process went of for over a year and a half with no explanation on what they found. I finally was able to get a hold of someone, they stated why they state the charges where mine because they where shipped to my house. They never once told me that from the first fraud claim, so I could research this more. They just pushed it out so I couldn't retrieve any information from XXXX or whoever shipped the products to get proof of delivery. I never made or authorized these charges and want them removed from my account.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sirs, For several months now I have been doing everything I can to work with Capital One bank N.A to clear up a set of expensive unauthorized fraudulent charges from my bank card I hold with them. The charges ( and a very large attempted charge not shown ) all took place on or around XX/XX/2023. I was alerted by the bank to only ONE charge ( for over {$3700.00} ) at an XXXX XXXX out of our area which I immediately replied to " NO '' it was not me and they declined that one. However I was not alerted to any of these other charges of a very odd nature and out of our area and I had no chance to prevent those for some reason. When I inspected my account records online right away I saw these other charges ( listed in attached and below ) but my dispute of the charges and the refunds were REVERTED by Capital One and put BACK on my account. They claim somehow I /we benefited from the charges but that is IMPOSSIBLE and did NOT happen!! I have taken several steps to refute this action by Capital One, including an attorney letter ( attached ) to ask Capital One to HONOR their Fraud Protections as advertised, but they have stopped responding to any correspondence and are very hard to work with. I also opened a police report shortly after these charges happened, and that case remains OPEN and underway, with some evidence having been collected and I know this includes images of the fraudulent transactions being made by some other person. However Capital One has done nothing to get this information from the police and has taken NO action on it when I gave them the Police report case number/info. I am asking for this to be fairly corrected as we did NOT make the charges and can not have benefitted from them.
