Subissue: Unexpected increase in interest rate
Consumer Complaint: I paid off my account balance of {$1700.00} on XX/XX/2023. The payment did not post until XX/XX/2023. The credit card company then charged the account {$2300.00} in interest which they say posted on XX/XX/2023. Now my balance is almost double that what it was prior to paying it off.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Can't close your account
Consumer Complaint: I randomly received a Mastercard fro Comenity Bank that I never applied for so I called to close the account. I was told I would receive an email confirming the closure but never received it. I called the same phone number to confirm. It was closed and the verbal league confirmed that the account was closed. Couple weeks later I received an American express bread rewards card from Comenity that I never applied for with a {$6500.00} credit limit. I called the XXXX XXXX number listed in the paperwork and an automated message Stated that they can not assist me until after XX/XX/XXXX And then disconnects the line.. Today is XX/XX/XXXX And I'm still getting the same message with an immediate disconnection of the line. There are no other phone numbers to call and quick search on the internet gives the same phone number. It is not allowing me any other options to close the account or to even talk to anybody. This worries me deeply that I can get random credit cards in the mail with No Idea where they came from or How they got my information Without my knowledge or approval. I want the account closed. I don't trust this bank. I don't want them to have any of my information. I don't want them to reach out to me for anything but to close this account.

Issue: Unable to get your credit report or credit score
Subissue: Other problem getting your report or credit score
Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank has not been reporting ALL of my revolving charge cards considering I have XXXX accounts with Comenity Bank. They have been reporting only XXXX accounts and have not been reporting XXXX of my accounts to XXXX, which is unacceptable. I did contact XXXX XXXX at XXXX over the telephone on XX/XX/23 at XXXX PST and I ask the representative to transfer me to a supervisor or Manager so I can attempt to have this resolved. I was transferred spoke with a supervisor named XXXX, who listened to my issue but stated she could not assist me and that I needed to contact XXXX to discuss my issue and have it resolved with XXXX. I then know I XXXX was providing me with absurd guidance, because why would I contact XXXX about charge accounts that Comenity Bank is not reporting to XXXX. This isnt something XXXX has control over, because why would a credit reporting company have input or control of accounts that dont have reported on their end. Its Comenity Banks responsibility to report All of my accounts correctly to the consumer reporting agencies, per the FCRA. I stated the same information to the Supervisor XXXX and expressed my frustration with her poor guidance. I then asked her to provide me with Comenity Banks address to report issues or complaints. She placed me on hold about XXXX minutes and then provided me with the main address for Comenity Bank.

Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: Under the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), the following accounts have violated my federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality, as stipulated in 15 USC 1681 : I have initiated a request with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX to reevaluate the accuracy of the following accounts : XXXX XXXX : # XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX : # XXXX, XXXX # XXXX, XXXX # XXXX XXXX However, their response indicated that these accounts were reported as complete and accurate. This assertion raises concerns, particularly regarding discrepancies in the open date, date of last activity, and other pertinent details. In accordance with 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ), it is incumbent upon these agencies to amend inaccurately reported accounts. 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 602 A asserts my fundamental right to privacy. 15 U.S.C. 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 specifies that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my explicit written instructions. 15 U.S.C. 1681c ( a ) ( 5 ) prescribes that no consumer reporting agency may include certain adverse information in a consumer report, with the exception of records of criminal convictions that precede the report by more than XXXX years. Furthermore, 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) stipulates that no person shall provide information related to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if they are aware or have reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. Additionally, it has come to my attention that these agencies are not in compliance with XXXX XXXX credit reporting standards. If these accounts are accurate why have they been removed from some credit reporting agencies but not all. It does not make sense! I have no contract/dealings with these companies. I I possess compelling evidence to substantiate my case. Please fix this immediately!

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: I mailed in my payment for XXXX around the first of the month. Comenity Bank never posted it & claims they never got it. I've done everything they've asked me to do and they still claim that I haven't provided them with proper documentation and they consider this grievance closed. They are charging me overdue fees every month. My bank, XXXX, gave me a photo copy of the front & back of the electronic check they sent showing the transmittal info that Comenity asked for yet they won't accept it. It shows the check was cashed on XX/XX/2023. A month after I mailed it to them! They held it till it was past the due date before cashing it & did not post it to my account. Today I received a form letter stating that this issue is now closed because I didn't provide them with their requested documentation. And I also got a bill from them for {$230.00}. The original bill was for {$190.00}. Every time I call Comenity I get a different agent. No-one knows what the other agents are telling me.
