Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: My payment has a due date of XXXX. I went to pay it today only to find they have an unfairly early cutoff time that benefits only the XXXX XXXX. The time is set for XXXX EST which is only XXXX PST. No other credit card company does this. It is not something that is fairly done, if a payment is due on a certain day all other credit card companies give one until XXXX to pay, this includes those on the east XXXX XXXX, they also make an allowance for time zones. I did speak to someone who basically told me there are no exceptions and that I was rather stupid not to notice they had a very early time in tiny print on the back of the statement and it was my fault and " too bad '' for me. It seems a punitive way to make people pay days ahead to not be charge late fees again. It is even too early for the EST, XXXX is not an accepted time, again XXXX is. I will be incurring a late fee for paying on the day it was due. This is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, they recently took over from XXXX XXXX XXXX who did not have such unfair and unheard of cut off times. Why do they have EST cut offs when they are based in Texas? I do not think it is fair to be charged a late fee when one has paid on the exact due date and before XXXX in one 's time zone.

Consumer Complaint: Despite the multiple previous written requests, the unverified item listed below still remains on my credit report in violation of Federal Law. You are required under the FCRA to have a copy of the original creditors documentation on file to verify that this information is 100 % true, accurate & correct. COMENITY BANK/EXPRESS XXXX and COMENITYBANK/NY & CO XXXX were still showing late payments. Those payments were made on time. I am requesting that the late payment markings be updated to reflect my accurate payment history. If there is any confusion, I suggest you contact myself or COMENITY BANK customer service representative.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: I purchased a shelving unit for a total cost of {$190.00} on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX the next statement I paid {$60.00} which was posted on XX/XX/XXXX. The next statement I paid it off which consisted of the balance for {$130.00} plus interest of {$2.00} totaling {$130.00} which was paid on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX I receive a statement in the mail for a late charge for {$30.00}, I immediately pay it thinking was I late back then? I than check my statement & realized I paid that off on XX/XX/XXXX. Per my statement an interest charge of {$2.00} was added on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX after the loan was paid off. They continued to charge me monthly for interest & late fees which is how that {$30.00} was accumulated. I called & after several attempts I finally got customer service. I immediately requested my account to be closed & I was told they would send me a refund for the overpayment of {$30.00}. A week or so later I received a check for only {$8.00}!!! I did not bother calling them for the {$22.00} they still owed me as my account is now closed so I wrote it off as a loss. Its now XXXX & suddenly I now owe them {$62.00}!!!! I believe that when they only refunded me the {$8.00} dollars they kept the {$22.00} as a balance owed on my account which allowed them to accrue charges on my account that I am no way responsible for. This is XXXX XXXXXXXX.

Issue: Communication tactics
Subissue: Frequent or repeated calls
Consumer Complaint: am writing to file a formal complaint against Lane Bryant, a retail company, regarding their persistent and intrusive phone calls, which I believe violate consumer rights and privacy regulations. I am seeking the assistance of the Consumer Protection Bureau to address this matter. For the past several weeks, I have been subjected to relentless and untimely phone calls from Lane Bryant representatives. These calls occur at highly inappropriate hours, including late evenings and weekends, disrupting my personal life and causing significant distress. I want to emphasize that I have neither solicited nor given my consent for these calls. The continuous invasion of my privacy and the disregard for my right to peace and quiet are not only unacceptable but also raise serious concerns about Lane Bryant 's business practices. Despite my attempts to address this issue directly with Lane Bryant 's customer service, the calls have persisted, and the problem remains unresolved. Therefore, I believe it is necessary to escalate this matter to the Consumer Protection Bureau to ensure my rights as a consumer are upheld and that Lane Bryant is held accountable for its actions. I kindly request that the Consumer Protection Bureau thoroughly investigates this complaint and takes appropriate action against Lane Bryant if violations of consumer protection laws are found. I believe it is crucial to protect consumers from unwarranted intrusions and to ensure that companies like Lane Bryant adhere to established regulations. Enclosed with this email, please find evidence of the repeated calls, including call logs and any written communication with Lane Bryant regarding this issue. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter, and I trust that the Consumer Protection Bureau will work diligently to address this complaint and help ensure that my rights as a consumer are upheld. Thank you for your assistance in resolving this issue. I included sample days of inappropriate times called and numerous times.

Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: On or around XX/XX/2023, I paid my account in full to pay off the account, XXXX balance. Comenity Bank reciprocated by dropping my credit line from {$2200.00} to {$200.00}, so I called into customer service, talked with XXXX and closed the account.
