Consumer Complaint: This complaint is in regards to a closed XXXX XXXX card owned by Comenity Bank. On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I received a returned payment fee and finance charge. Both fees were refunded. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a late fee of {$35.00} and a finance charge of {$2.00}. The fees were supposed to be refunded. Instead, I received a " late fee refund '' of only {$6.00}, and I was left with a balance. I paid the remaining balance in full to avoid any further fees. My balance should have been {$0.00}. I am asking for the removal of all fees on the account, a refund ( via check to the XXXX XXXX address on this complaint ) of the payment made on XX/XX/XXXX, and verification that the balance is {$0.00} and no further fees will be assessed on this closed account.

I called the company and asked why was it posted on my credit profile without my permisson. I asked that they send me legitimate document from me giving thme permission to furnish this type of personal info to other who are not privy to it. they said that they didnt have to becuase its on the staement. Consumer Complaint: I paid my credit card balance in full with my XX/XX/2023 payment. I called the customer service # after my payment posted and my balance was {$0.00}. I asked for my account to be closed due to several issues with this company and no longer wanting to do business with them. I was told notes were made and they would close my account. In XXXX I received a statement for {$2.00}, even though my balance was paid in full and my account was supposed to be closed. I called customer service & they said there was a minimum charge of {$2.00} for having the card. I was escalated to a Supervisor for further help. The supervisor apologized and said the balance would be credited back to {$0.00} ( paid in full ) & my account would closed. They also said they'd send me a letter & email to document everything. The exact same thing happened again in XXXX. the statement this time was {$6.00}. I called customer service again and asked for a Manager. I was told the same as before, however this time they told me to pay the balances & they would credit them back to me once everything was updated correctly. I was very worried about this being incorrectly reported to the credit bureaus and negatively impacting my credit score and they assured me it would not. I scheduled the payments for XXXX & XXXX. The same thing continued to happen in XXXX & XXXX. I called again and spoke to a Manager. They confirmed they were working on my account. They weren't sure why it was taking so long but would escalate my case & have a higher up manager call me. My payments I made had not been taken from my account & still showed as pending. I was told It was because they were in the process of being reversed & that's why they still showed pending. Again, I was promised not to worry nothing would be reported because I was not in default. Just to be safe I also scheduled the payments for XXXX & XXXX. A Manager never called me!! I've never received any documentation as promised. In XXXX they reported me to the credit bureaus as XXXX or more days late! My credit score was greatly impacted. I went from XXXX to the low XXXX 's. My Husband & I were preparing to apply for a Mortgage & because of this, we aren't qualified now. I called the company again and talked to a manager. They said my account was updated and I now have a negative balance. The payments I scheduled were all canceled, as I didn't owe anything. They said they would contact the credit bureaus immediately & correct the inaccurate information that was reported. They apologized and again promised my account would be closed. They promised to mail & email me documentation of the correspondence with the credit bureaus as well as proof of a closed account. I've never received any documentation as promised. They still have not closed my account & they have not updated the inaccurate information they reported, with the credit bureaus.

It has been 30 days and you are in VIOLATION of this law because I am a victim of identify theft! Please delete these items IMMEDIATLY! These account should not be furnished on my consumer report as they are VIOLATION! Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX XXXX I called customer service and ultimately decided to close my account for Children 's Place Reward credit card. The representative tried to convince me otherwise but the fees were outweighing the purpose of the card. I had initially signed up for Assurance program, which I soon discovered was just casing more fees and not actually for my benefit. Those fees as well additional fees that came with the credit card had become higher than my actual purchases. I discovered that Comenity bank has reported to the credit bureaus that I owe over {$700.00} when my last balance was lest than {$140.00}. They claim I never closed out my account.

Consumer Complaint: Last time I used my Overstock store credit card was 2 years ago for a purchase, then suddenly I got this bill that I owe them something, come to find out that it was a subscription for like a club store which I don't remember signing up, I tried to talk to customer service only to find out that the company is closing that specific credit program altogether but that still I owe them that amount, I tried to talk to them about this charge but I couldn't get a straight answer specially that my account is already closed. My problem is I don't really want to pay the initial amount they are asking because I feel that I haven't used their service. My bigger problem now is that I am receiving additional bill because I haven't paid my previous due which I am trying to resolve but couldn't because I can't get hold of someone to help me. I'm being bounced from XXXX customer service to another just because my account is showing to be closed and that the only way for me to remove this issue is just top pay up whatever they are billing me for.

Consumer Complaint: Im responding to the XXXX XXXX. XXXX because Comenity Bank has sold the account that originated to them to debt collection companies. If they've sold their debt, they should no longer report the debt owed to them on my consumer reports and it should be removed entirely as they are inaccurately reporting on my credit and misrepresenting themselves as the Owner of the debt with XXXX XXXX XXXX. The Credit Bureau has continually ignored my requests to have this inaccuracy deleted and it has prevented me from being extended credit in different circumstances. I asked them to provide me with proof of the XXXX XXXX c form for charged off debt, but they did not, they sold this date long ago and they are still attempting to collect on it. Please remove this transaction from my consumer reports immediately as they are in violation of the FCRA and 15 USC 1692 G validation of debt. The attached shows proof that XXXX XXXX sold the account.
