Consumer Complaint: Comenity XXXX XXXX XXXX decided to close my account for absolutely no reason and I believe it was a retaliation for complaining about the horrible customer service I received when I called on XX/XX/XXXX. This company is engaging not only in highly unethical business practices but allowing their reps to penalize customers who are unsatisfied with their services. Everything started when I used my card overseas for one single transition in XXXX, 2022. I immediately received a text stating that card is blocked till further verification. When I returned home I called the company on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to a very rude female rep.I did not like her tone and how disrespectful and biased she was on the call so I told her to transfer me to someone else immediately as I won't tolerate that disrespect. The second rep who was a male was helpful, walked me through the identity verification check and confirmed at the end of the call that my card and account should be good to use immediately. Fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX I find out that my card was actually closed off instead of being unblocked and that the person who did it behind the scene was a female rep. Her name was XXXX I believe. She listed the reason as " Didn't pass the identity check '' even though that's a lie. I'm certain the same unprofessional rep I spoke to on XX/XX/XXXX is the same person behind closing my account and lying about the reason. I escalated to a supervisor her name is XXXX ( Extension XXXX ) and confirmed that my account was closed by mistake. She said that she will reinstate my card immediately but I'm not sure they will be reviewing the call recording with that rep or do any internal investigation about the retaliation part.

Consumer Complaint: I am 30-59 days late on my payment with the credit card company. I had unseen events that come up that I had to rearrange money around to pay for the past couple of months. I have received multiple phone calls a day from this company but never received anything in the mail or by email. I have mailed a letter to the company asking to be only contacted in writing. Most recently I have received 3 phone call in a 1 hr and 33 minute time frame from this company I received a phone call at XXXXXXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX. and XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022 only. Comenity Bank then they proceeded to contact both of my parents as well on different phone numbers trying to get a hold of me. My parents do not live with me and I have never put them down as people who are allowed to be contacted on my account. They call on average 3-4 times a day every single day and those are only the times that I am aware of as I do also receive multiple no caller id phone numbers as well.

They called me a lier and threatened to take me to the court. I explained to the representative XXXX XXXX, not sure if he provided me with a real name, that I am willing to start a lawsuit myself at this point and requested Registered agent 's info where I can send a summon with a sheriff. The " XXXX '' refused to provide me with the info they are required to provide by law. I searched public records with the Secretary State of California and found registered agent 's info myself. It's been 7 years since I've been trying to remove this fraudulent account from my credit reports. Please assist ASAP.

They are not also violating 15 U.S. Code 1692g, as only the consumer can validate a debt. I have informed this company numerous times this account is fraudulent and they continue to violate my rights. I am asking CFPB to violate this company and issue a fine in the amount of {$3000.00} for several violations they continue to commit and I also demand deletion of the fraudulent account. Once again, this company has not provided me with a solution to any of my complaints. I do not want a fraudulent bill history sent to me, I want this account deleted now.

Consumer Complaint: Comenity bank issued me a low balance credit card for Torrid, which is fine because it's easier to use/pay/repeat. Comenity bank recently updated my available credit after payments, and would not allow me to use the available credit. First telling me I was late until I pointed out that I don't carry a balance as I pay each pur have when it's available to do so. All the reps and the supervisor would do is quote a non public policy of having to wait 10 days between making a payment before the card can be used. I read the t & c which don't state anything about this, I even read through them again while I was on the phone in case they were updated. Comenity couldn't tell me where to find this information publicly either. I also pointed out I have used the card, paid it, and used it again once the balance updated. All they would do is quote a policy I am unable to view publicly.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 I established a store credit card with Comenity /NY & CO. Amidst the breakout of the 2020 COVID pandemic, I was too afraid to check and even touch my paper mail. As though did every business, I also spiraled in figuring out how to keep our institution/ business connected, and as XXXX XXXX XXXX an essential business, configuring remote employees, while ensuring my own children remained connected for schooling, was my upmost concern, as so was it for all of America XXXX After realizing that I had gone severely XXXX, with this credit card, months later, I pleaded that they please remove this negative reporting. After submitting I would say my second dispute, I found that not only did my plead go unheard, but a DUPLICATE negative account reporting appears on my credit report. They are negatively impacting my credit. It also feels like retaliation due to my multiple requests to remove or consider these accounts. I have not to date received anything in the mail, in writing. The online dispute responses are always unavailable, and if it exists difficult to retrieve. I have been unsuccessful in understanding, why they can not consider my situation, why is there a duplicate negative reporting.
