Consumer Complaint: I received the Bread Financial American Express credit card provided by Comenity Capital Bank back in XX/XX/XXXX. In general, American Express is known nationally and worldwide, has a good reputation and is known to provide excellent customer support when needed. However, this clearly was not the case with the American Express card acquired through Comenity Capital Bank pursuant to a license from American Express. This bank lacks everything from transparency, ethics, competence, and customer support. Customer Service was very poor : lacking knowledge and understanding the banks policies and procedures. On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a dispute claim with American Express for the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX software purchased from XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$120.00} requesting assistance for a product I was unable to use. As time went by, I messaged customer service and called on numerous occasions inquiring as to the status. All I was able to obtain is that I will receive a letter in 90 days. I was told I am liable for the full amount. Otherwise I will incur interest and late fees! As a general rule banks and credit card companies will not hold you financially responsible for amounts being disputed until it has been resolved. My monthly bill was due in early XXXX of XXXX. However, due to a credit I received for a product I returned, my account balance reflected a credit balance of over {$850.00}. I called the bank and requested for my refund to be deposited directly via ACH. I was told that I am unable to get my refund until the dispute is resolved. This was outrageous since they already deducted the amount due from the credit balance. In order for me to receive my refund I was put in a position of closing the disputed claim and closing my account which I did not want to do. I have never experienced anything of this nature in working with other major credit cards or banks over the years! Furthermore, the terms which are in very fine print of the Credit Card Agreement and any reasonable and informative person would not have seen, under Your Rights If You Are Dissatisfied With Your Credit Purchases reads as follows : 1. The purchase must have been made within your home state or within XXXX miles of your current mailing address. In addition to their lack of ethics, is their misrepresentation, this bank has the audacity to carry the American Express logo on their card, which is accepted nationwide and worldwide, yet they will not cover purchases exceeding 100 miles of your residential address! Although I filed a dispute claim with Comenity Capital Bank, I am questioning whether they even bothered to follow up on this dispute. Getting the impression they simply wait 90 days to send a letter only to find out no resolution was achieved. Comenity Capital Bank is not only unethical, they lack transparency ; they misrepresented what the American Express cards truly stands for, and lacks customer service! Its been a huge inconvenience, a waste of time and costly! I do not recommend the Comenity Capital Bank American Express Card. I will inform news reporters and other agencies to make the public aware of how this bank operates. The right thing for Comenity Capital Bank to do is to either reopen the disputed claim, do a proper investigation at minimum, which I am entitled to or to simply refund me the {$120.00} for mishandling my case in the first place, misrepresenting the American Express standards nationwide and worldwide, and for bribing me into closing the disputed case and my account in order for me to get my refund back totaling over {$850.00}.

Consumer Complaint: Filed a dispute with XXXX about an account that was reported delinquent XXXX months prior to it existing, and despite their own report showing that exact information they did not fix it when I reported it. I submitted a dispute XX/XX/XXXX, and received a XX/XX/XXXX that did not correct my report and did not change anything. I filed a dispute directly with the company and I am still awaiting results from them. My reports verifies that my account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX, however it was reported delinquent from XX/XX/XXXX through XXXX of XXXX despite the account not even existing during that time frame.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I applied for a XXXX credit card 3 years ago, made a purchase and pay over time - account had {$0.00} balance and no movements since then ( more than a year ) Last month I started to receive calls that I was pending and overdue to pay a comenity card. Looks like XXXX moved the portfolio to comenity, they submit a card which I never received and somehow someone made two fraudulent transactions. I call comenity and was really difficult to get above story because they were asking me for account details or statement which I never received because i did not sign for a comenity card - fraud department told me that those were fraudulent transactions and they will review they cancelled my account per my request but they call me 5 to 6 times a day asking me to pay them. XXXX XXXX does not talk to fraud and I call customer service and they are unable to tell me any status meanwhile interest pile up. Can you help me? I did not agree to have a comenity card nor did transactions never received a card and have no statements or anything related that bank I knew I had a card based on XXXX XXXX review done

I missed to pay or overlooked since It was just a small amount. 3 months later it becomes {$60.00}, I made a phone call and paid on the phone and to close my account, the lady on the Comenity said I might still receive a charge from the mail as the last closing cycle. I said thats why I called to make sure I can pay the fulll amount without getting anymore charges. It took down my credit scores by so many points. Now this kind of XXXX is like abuse to consumers. Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with Maurices on XXXX. I made a small purchase. I never received a bill, or an actual credit card. In XXXX, I went to the store and they were able to access my account, and I paid the balance I owed. I completely put the problem out of my mind. I noticed on XXXX that my credit report shows a past due balance of {$100.00} even. I called the credit card company, they said it was their error, and they would remove it from my account immediately. I filed a dispute through XXXX, and they still show I owe the {$100.00} balance. XX/XX/2022 XXXX charged interest on the interest balance now {$3.00} XX/XX/2022 XXXX charged interest on the interest balance now {$7.00} etccc, XXXX is charging me on a interest fee that I do not owe. I was not aware of these interest charges. per XXXX I now owe a total of {$31.00}. XXXX now reported this as delinquent to the credit bureau. My XXXX XXXX has dropped XXXX points. This is not right. Please help. I have proof of payment. I dont know what else to do. I called XXXX and they say I owe the interest. I do not feel that I owe this. How can I be charged on a XXXX balance. I have called and asked to speak to a XXXX two times and both times I was hung up on.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a consolidation loan from XXXX Bank and part of the loan proceeds, {$4900.00} were paid to Comenity Bank to payoff my XXXX XXXX XXXX account. XXXX Bank mailed the payment directly to Comenity Bank on XX/XX/XXXX, but Comenity Bank, never processed the check. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX Bank issued a replacement check payable to Comenity Bank and it was mailed by XXXX priority mail on XX/XX/XXXX with tracking to Comenity Bank. This payment was picked up by Comenity Bank at its XXXX post office box on XX/XX/XXXX as evidenced by a XXXX XXXX receipt. As of XX/XX/XXXX, neither, the original check nor the replacement check have been posted to my account at Comenity Bank. I have spoken to them several times over the last month, and they have never acknowledged having received the payment, and they have never provided a satisfactory response or try to solve this problem. Attached are copies off my documentation confirming my statements.
