Consumer Complaint: I had XXXX accounts with comenity bank. Card XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. XXXX went out business and comenity closed the account instead of converting the account. No options were given and credit bureau was notified of this closure by comenity in which there was a negative impact on my credit report. Card XXXX XXXX XXXXe of credit XXXX. Comenity issued line of credit and card before I received the physical card in the mail comenity closed the account staying to many inquires after the application was already approved account open and card in the mail. Comenity reported the close to credit bureau cause a 2nd negative impact ti my credit score and rating. I feel these practices are completely unacceptable.I am very destroyed by this unacceptable practice.

Consumer Complaint: COMENITY - COMENITY CARD, XXXX TX On XX/XX/XXXX I received a statement for charges to a credit card I havent used in years and have destroyed. The charges were not made by me and are suspicious in nature ; XXXX charges of XXXX all made on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Total due {$8.00}. I repeatedly try to call the number on the statement for help, went through prompts, only to be continually disconnected. On XX/XX/XXXX I wrote a comprehensive letter, included all documentation, and mailed to their designated Customer Care Team at address indicated on statement. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter stating they received my claim and are researching it. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another statement with late charges and interest. Repeatedly called number indicated and was repeatedly disconnected. On XX/XX/XXXX I wrote another letter and included all documentation. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another computer generated letter saying they received claim and are researching. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another statement now with a total due of {$160.00}! I made three more calls today to try and resolve and continue to be disconnected.

Have written and spoke to several supervisors and the person not answer Im getting is it takes up to ninety days. Meanwhile they are charging me interest and late charges on the disputed amount. And the have my account in past due status because another supervisor told I dont have to pay on the disputed balance. A supervisor told me the only no to get a late charge is to pay the minimum. Consumer Complaint: I was charged almost {$5000.00} on my Victoria Secrets store card in the matter of 3 days. I have not used this card in almost 2 years and was alerted only because my credit score went down XXXX points. I called and spoke with Commenity Bank to alert them of the fraudulent charges and found out that my ULTA card was also compromised, as the thief 's requested a new card be sent to them on that account as well but, was unable to use that card as I've cancelled everything. These purchases were all done in XXXX Florida over 5 hours from me and escalated within three days. These assailants attempted to pay their {$5000.00} debt with my bank account. I was able to put a stop payment on it, but they attempted several times more to pay the bill. These assailants managed to change my physical address and email address, so I was never alerted until it was too late. These dates are approx. Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a notification from my credit monitoring service stating a formal credit inquiry from Comenity Capital Bank was made showing that I applied for a credit card with a company called XXXX XXXX. Apparently, Comentity Bank is a company that provides credit information which is used by retail organizations to issue credit cards. In my case, someone fraudulently used my credit information to apply for a credit card. I was never contacted by Comenity Bank regarding this transaction. Further, they do not provide contact information to the credit reporting agencies so it has been very difficult to file a formal complaint directly to this company regarding their fraudulent activity. It is no wonder that Comenity Bank has an " F '' rating with the XXXX I never applied for a credit card with XXXX XXXX, but a card was still opened without my knowledge or consent based on information that a was provided by Comenity Bank. This is a fraudulent transaction. As a result of Comenity 's incompetence, my credit score was adversely affected.

Consumer Complaint: COMENITY-XXXX XXXX claims not receiving {$100.00} payment sent by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX reported sending payment, just not cashed. So, COMENITY claimed no check received, late fees will not be waived. I told them I was : XXXX ) Canceling the Credit Card and Account, XXXX ) Stopping payment on the check, since if the dont have it, it could be lost. And asked them to not cash the check as I was canceling the check. XXXX ) Sending a check for {$130.00}. About a weeks later, my bill pay showed the check for {$130.00} cleared my bank. A couple days later, I received notice from my bank that someone tried to cash the original check for {$100.00}, but was stopped as the check was reported lost. A couple weeks later ( today ) I received a bill for the returned check fee from the original check COMENITY tried to cash that they claimed they did not receive. They adamantly refuse to cancel the charge for the bounced check. At the time they tried to cash it, I owed them no money.

I did pay exactly the remaining amount they said it was needed for it be closed. Next month, they were calling me again saying I own late fees claiming the last payment was made a day after ( which I dont believe ), even though is not my fault they provided wrong information with malicious purposes to keep charging me. I refused to pay money I dont own to them and well they sent me to collections and have XXXX accounts against me. They justify their mistake saying the assessor who supposed to close the account was fired for his mistake, but didnt changed the status of the account and the amount is being increasing with the time, amount build by itself as late fees only.

Consumer Complaint: This is in addition to complaint XXXX. I had more time to review my credit report and found more errors. Each of the credit reporting agencies are reporting different information. How can this be possible when all data furnished should be the same? This is a charged off account, but XXXX is reporting that I was late once, and the account became a charge off. We know that an account is not charged off after 30 days. XXXX is reporting that the account was a charge off but has exceptional payment history. How is this possible? XXXX is reporting that the account is closed with no payment history whatsoever. There are so many inaccuracies within this account, and I demand that it is removed immediately. I will attach the credit report for reference. Also refer to complaint XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: The company, Comenity, has my credit card account which I thought had been closed by XXXX. They never informed me the account was active and they never sent me a new card. I only found out by checking my credit report and seeing the account was active. I tried to log in with my old account number and was denied access. I called the company and requested a new card so I could access my account. Then I found out it was through a different bank and there was a late fee of {$26.00}, no big deal. This was on XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to them the situation, they waived the fee and sent me a card. Great. When I recieved the card on XX/XX/XXXX I activated it, logged into my account and saw another late fee on XX/XX/XXXX. I paid the balance, not really caring about the fee, but wanting to make sure I didnt get a late payment on my credit report. I did. Not only did I recieve a fee for {$31.00}, I recieve another XXXX days later for {$26.00} dollars and a hit on my credit report for a late payment. This happened before I even recieved the card and had access to make a payment. On top of that, they took my {$12000.00} credit limit and lowered it to {$750.00}! This is a sketchy company, they are not responsive and I think they are out to XXXX peoples credit. My score just dropped XXXX points because of this comany and I'm expecting it to drop even more by lowering my credit limit. I would like this late payment off my report. It is THEIR fault, not mine.
