Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Was contacted by company stating I was past due on payment. Notified them that I have not used card since previous one expired in 2020. I had never received another card nor activated one. The person I spoke with would not listen as I explained I have made no charges and kept interrupting me to ask for a payment. I again explained that these are not my charges but again was told to make a payment as if they were reading off a script and not listening to me. I will not make payments on charges that are not mine on a card I have NEVER received and NEVER activated. And I didn't even hear from this bank until months after they claim there were charges. Plus this is a different bank then the one from when I originally opened the account. I refuse to pay charges that are not mine and this is a TERRIBLE company that will not listen when I explain these are not my charges. I've had impeccable credit & would have no reason to randomly jeopardize it now but I will not be bullied by horrible companies with no customer service demanding payment from me on unauthorized charges.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, my home was burglarized and personal information along with account details, cell phone and other items were taken out of my home. I reported this to the police and credit reporting agencies. I also reported this to Commenity Bank/ XXXX and provided them with police reports. This creditor charged my account off and sold it to a debt collector. I contacted the debt collector and was advised they investigated and deemed my account as a fraud takeover and stated I was not responsible for the charges and that they are not reporting or seeking payments due to my account being fraudulently used. I contacted Comminety Bank/XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and advised them of what their debt collector told me. I spoke with an agent who stated her name was XXXX ID # XXXX. She said it wasn't anything she could do and that it will remain on my credit report because their files list it as a charge-off. Comminety bank/XXXX is still reporting the account as charged off and it is drastically affecting my credit report, and should not be reporting any charge-off as this wasn't due to my own doing. They refuse to remove the account and continue to verify the account as accurate according to their files, despite knowing the account was compromised through fraud.

Consumer Complaint: Per my XXXX credit report, on XX/XX/2023, a company requested a hard pull of my credit. I have never heard of the company in question, nor did I authorize the request. I disputed this twice with XXXX, once on XX/XX/2023 and once on XX/XX/2023, both of which times have been denied and the information is not being removed. It does not appear that any new accounts have been opened from this inquiry, and as such, I believe this is an erroneous hard credit inquiry by the company in question and not fraud. As a result of this, I have placed security/fraud notices on my credit file with all major bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ) XXXX as a precaution. The company in question that apparently made a hard inquiry is : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, OH XXXX I have attempted to contact the company directly, but so far have not been successful, so I am submitting this compaint.

Issue: Struggling to pay your bill
Subissue: Credit card company won't work with you while you're going through financial hardship
Consumer Complaint: It started when i got XXXX for the FIRST time in the middle to end of XXXX. I was out of work for a month, and i could not leave the house. Fortunately, i had enough saved up to make all my payments on time. I returned to work and because of XXXX XXXX my company cut my pay 20 %. Then after a month of working at less salary then i was used to, i unforunately caught XXXX XXXX. This time i was out of work for another month, both because i was sick and as precaution. This time i could NOT afford to pay all my bills when i was out. I fell behind on a lot of things but i was able to eventually catch up 5 months later and i have been on time and going strong ever since. I even got my original pay back. I was physically unable to pay on time and because of that, financially unable to do so too. I reached out to CCB, who owns the XXXX XXXX, and tried to beg with them to work with me, not on late payments, i paid them ALL OF THOSE, but on their credit reporting. They not only refused, they didnt even answer me. Those late pays in those months have destroyed my credit and even though i make good money now, i can not get into a house for me and my, now, XXXX kids. We have been renting and are struggling all because of COVID and this company 's unwillingness to work with me even a little bit. I am not asking for " financial relief '', they can keep those late payments as good faith, i just am begging for all, or ANY, of the late payments between XXXX XXXX and XXXX of XXXX to be removed. I know the bureaus will report what they are told so this is up to CCB and they seem to just not care at all about customers or the family.

Consumer Complaint: See attached. I have repeatedly disputed this incorrect information to XXXX who REFUSES TO CORRECT IT! Now it's your turn! You need to be reporting accurate information to the bureaus. If not it makes you just as culpable as the bureaus as it's your responsibility to maintain accurate reporting with these bureaus. XXXX is the only one that continues to make errors on my report they refuse to correct. Then they claim they checked with you and you verified its accurate which it is not! The account status IS NOT ACCURATE and had better be corrected ASAP! You and the credit bureaus repeatedly report inaccurate information. It's time to put a stop to it and let the public know what's going on.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: See attached. XXXX and XXXX XXXX are continuing to report inaccurate information on this account. I have tried to fix it and both decline to correct the errors stating they've " confirmed '' this with Comenity Bank. If Comenity reported this information then my law suit will be against them. Reporting inaccurate information on 3 different credit reports is illegal and against the FCRA laws. You are solely responsible for any information that is reported to the credit bureaus. Get it right or remove the item or risk a law suit. Please don't think I won't sue and go public because I will if this is not immediately corrected with accurate dates and account status. The bureaus put those comments on there to negatively affect my credit rating. I'm tired of their games and am fighting back hard! That's what courts are for, to correct what the 3 of you refuse to. This item better be corrected or I demand it be removed immediately. I can also include XXXX 's in my law suit since they entrusted Comenity to handle their credit card. Poorly done job for sure! This account was closed shortly after I opened it! There IS NO HISTORY!!!!!

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I had a statement balance with Comenity Wayfair of {$1900.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment of {$1900.00} and requested a {$41.00} late fee to be removed since my payment was only 4 days late. In theory, my balance should have been {$17.00}. Since that time, I have not made any purchases from this company. Nevertheless, each month they have been adding an additional {$41.00} plus interest to the amount owed each month since. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a letter stating that my online statement showed a balance of XXXX due. However, the printed statement sent via USPS indicated a balance of {$210.00}. In response, the merchant sent me a letter instructing me to call their customer service, who refused to help and only wanted to collect the full amount. I refuse to pay {$41.00} per month for a balance that should not have been anywhere close to {$210.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent another letter to the merchant with the same dispute. This time I received no reply. My balance is now on the XX/XX/XXXX statement reported as {$410.00} and I am shown as being over 180 days late with my payments to the three credit bureaus. I am unhappy that this merchant is stating I owe {$410.00} despite having paid {$1900.00} of my total balance of {$1900.00}. And have made no additional purchase from them since XX/XX/XXXX. Charging me {$41.00} per month on a small balance is unacceptable and now has caused my credit scores to drop over XXXX points. I am hoping for resolution and the removal of negative reporting to the credit bureaus.
