Consumer Complaint: A fraudulent credit card was opened in my name with Comenity Bank/My Place rewards in around XX/XX/2022 with a balance of {$2300.00}. I learned and made a complaint in XX/XX/2022. I contacted the bank to start an initial dispute and to have the account closed. The bank responded saying the account stands with no further information of the investigation they conducted. The account is still fraudulent and negatively impacts my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: I first received an alert from several of my credit monitoring sites that a Comenity Bank just took a hard look at my credit report! I then tried to call this XXXX bank to ask what the XXXX they are doing checking my credit reports and there is no way to contact these people without giving them an account number. I then tried online and same thing. Apparently this is for some type of an XXXX XXXX card credit card that I did not apply for, nor would I ever apply for. I am not sure if this XXXX bank and their tactics are a fishing attempt to get me to apply for this credit card. I take pride in my credit rating and when I loose points for these credit history searches that could cost me in the future from gaining the best interest rates on loans, it XXXX me off. I just received a letter from this bank about this credit card, that they need me to call them within 14 days because they have to confirm some information they do not have. Sounds like fraud or stolen identity fishing to me. I also went thru this situation about 15 years ago when several banks and credit collectors were contacting me about debt that did not belong to me but another XXXX XXXX with same middle name initial. That is what corrected that problem. I am not dealing with these XXXX banks. I just wanted to let you know in case this bank is pulling this XXXX on others, then hopefully they can do something about this. Also tell this XXXX bank to list a service number so I can stop this application for credit

Consumer Complaint: I had a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card with rewards. My reward total was XXXX points when XXXX credit card took over the XXXX cards from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/2022. In the information about the new card, member rewards were to transfer to XXXX. The points are worth {$2400.00} in cash. I have attached the last statement from XXXX XXXX XXXX, and the first statement from XXXX. My reward points were missing from XXXX. I called customer service 3 times. The first time I was told my name would be added to a list of people whose points were missing, and I would be contacted since it was a problem they were working on. I asked to speak with a XXXX, and the representative on the phone refused to connect me with a XXXX. I have not been contacted. On my additional phone calls, both times I was told I only had {$9.00} in reward points. The XXXX reward points vanished along with my {$2400.00}. The last 2 customer service agents I spoke with had no interest in discussing the problem, was told I only had {$9.00} in rewards. Nice theft of reward points equaling {$2400.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I paid my credit card balance off in full XX/XX/23, {$6100.00} as I transferred it to a no interest credit card. When I looked at my bill for this month there was a charge dated XX/XX/23 for XXXX. I called the credit card company and was told that they told me that they charge interest 1 month ahead. I then asked what amount the XXXX interest was based on as my usual interest charges have been around XXXX to XXXX ( with balance averaging around XXXX every month ) They then responded that the interest is based on charges from the prior month. I charged XXXX on the card XX/XX/23 so based on that the interest should have been based on the XXXX charge which certainly doesn't equal a XXXX dollar interest charge. Now they couldn't explain what the XXXX dollar interest charge was based on and they stated that they can't refund the interest but as a courtesy they would refund a XXXX dollar late fee. I find the whole thing suspicious and it seems illegal I will attach the last months payments, interest and charges to show the inconsistency. I believe they are illegally charging interest

Consumer Complaint: Commenity Bank calls me numerous times a day under different numbers, as well as blocked numbers that show up as unknown and no caller ID. I explained my situation to them a few months ago, that I am unable to make a payment currently, but they continue to harass me. I continuously get no caller ID calls and when I answered, I was hung up on. I received one more call and the person on the line hesitated to answer me, then finally did when I asked them to stop harassing me. This is happening up to six times daily, for the past 4-5 months.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Comenity Capital Bank ) store credit card in 2022 for the first time. I believe that XXXX steered me to a predatory division of their store credit card company because they re-issued the store credit card to me within a month after I received the first one and because of their merciless late fees and fines applied to my now closed store credit card account. Usually credit card companies issue new credit cards AFTER the first credit card expires, but XXXX issued two different store cards to me without reason. They told me that the original credit card was no good and to use the new one._______________________________________________________________ The problems with this company became more evident in XX/XX/XXXX XXXX after I paid my bill in full within the same month of the due date, XXXX. My first and last bill for {$15.00} was due XXXX was paid XXXX in full. I did not make any new purchases at XXXX or charge any additional items on the store card after making the final payment in XX/XX/2022. I CLOSED the account shortly in XX/XX/2022. Nonetheless, XXXX and its bank continue to send bills to me with compounding interest and fees as if the account is still open. Closed accounts are to be sent to collections, but not in this case. They reported the account to the collection agencies. They did not send the account to collections.

Consumer Complaint: A new credit inquiry was pulled from Comenity Bank on XX/XX/2023 for " COMENITYCB/MYPOINTSRWD ''. This is fradulent activity which I have reported to Comenity Bank as of XX/XX/2023. The person I spoke with at Comenity bank confirmed that my social security # was used to open the line of credit under my first and middle name. They also mentioned that an address in XXXX CT was used ( I have never lived in CT ) and they did not use my correct date of birth in the credit application.

Consumer Complaint: I spoke with a representative about possibly opening an account. They advertised a promotional plan that would be interest free during the specified period. If there was still a balance after the period then you would start being charged interest. However, now that the promotional period is ended, theyre trying to charge an accrued interest amount from the time over the promotional period. Which was not how this deal was presented to consumers. This is a scam and false advertising to get consumers to open accounts under these pitched deals then charge them ridiculous amounts of interest after the deal has expired. I also tried to resolve the issue by calling the company and explaining this was not how the advertised promotion was presented to me. The response I basically got was, sorry if this was presented incorrectly but towards the end the terms were sent in the online statements. Completely unfair and shady to defraud consumers and blame them for believing the representatives who act/speak on behalf of the company. Representatives need to be held accountable for defrauding consumers wether it is intentional or unintentional. Consumers should not be held liable for the companys staff lies.
