Consumer Complaint: An account seems to have been opened in my name as : XXXX XXXX XXXX with Comenity Capital Bank. According to USPS informed delivery I was supposed to receive a letter from Comenity Capital Bank on XX/XX/2023 but that item of mail was removed from my mailbox before I was able to collect it. An image of the missing item of mail is attached I tried to call the Comenity hotline but reception was unintelligible. I believe someone is trying to use my name for the purpose of credit fraud. I have already placed a freeze on my Credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I received an email on XX/XX/23 stating that my new XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card would arrive soon. I called the company stating that I didn't authorize the credit card. I believe before that I also received a bunch of emails that seemed like spam. They told me not to worry, that I'd receive a letter in the mail to confirm it before it was authorized. I never received the letter. Next thing I know, I receive some emails stating that a delivery would arrive and did arrive, but it was to an old address I lived at. On XX/XX/23, I received a call from a " No Caller ID ''. The person on the other end of the line tried to get me to pay for a {$4600.00} charge on my credit card. I told them it was not my card and that it was fraudulent. They then transferred me to an unknown department and asked for personal information, but I told them I wouldn't give it to them because I didn't know if they were who they said they were. I then called XXXX to report the fraudulent credit card and other suspicious inquiries, one of which was a credit inquiry to obtain an IKEA credit card as well. They put alerts on my account and told me to also report it to the police or the FTC and to call Comenity Capital Bank. I called Comenity to report the fraudulent credit card and charges and they shut down the account and added alerts as well.

Consumer Complaint: I have a XXXX XXXX recently issued by Comenity Bank ( it was previously issued by XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX and I never had an issue with it ). I sent them a scheduled payment in the amount of {$86.00} on XX/XX/2023. I was notified at a later date ( the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ) that I had not made my payment and I contacted them on XXXX occasions to let them know I had sent the check. I was asked to wait a few more days and see if it cleared. When it didn't, I contacted them again and said I would make the following month 's payment, due in XXXX, to include what had been due in XXXX. I was told that the late fee would be waived, and I proceeded to cancel the check with my bank ( at a cost of {$30.00} ) that appeared to be lost. I then sent the bill I received for the amount due in XXXX ( they didn't waive the late fee for XXXX, they left it in the bill ) in the amount of XXXX via certified mail to make sure it arrived. On the same date I mailed my IRS due payment and my XXXX card payment. Both of those have since cleared my account. Not the Comenity payment, however. I have proof from the US Postal Service that it was delivered on Monday, the XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX at their XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX. I called XXXX yesterday, the XXXX, and they said it hasn't posted and they would file a dispute. I want this resolved so that I can close my account with them and cut up the credit card. I have a credit rating of XXXX and several credit cards that I have been paying in full, on time, for many years. I don't know what Comenity 's problem is, but I don't want my credit effected.

Consumer Complaint: Regarding Dispute for a payment submitted to the wrong account number to Comenity Bank via Check Number XXXX.See attached cashed check for {$1300.00}. This check was deposited into an account that is not mine. My account number is XXXX the check had a clerical error where 2 numbers were transposed. The check instead was deposited into account number XXXX. This check was sent XXXX and deposited/stamped/accepted by Comenity Bank XXXX. This check was not meant for that account number. I do not have any knowledge whose account that is. This error must be fixed and funds reversed back to me. A dispute has also been opened with XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. Dispute reference number is XXXX. Please rectify this situation as soon as possible

Consumer Complaint: XXXX is wrongly charging me interest and lead me to believe the promised promotion i applied for was legitimate but Im finding out that they somehow try to trick you or waste time just to get you to pay extra mone and this is why : On the amount I paid in full. This company offered interest free for a year. I made every payment on time and always got confirmation and deducted from my account within min. When XX/XX/2023 came and I called to make my final payment that is not due till XXXX XXXX the company gave me the run around I now believe that Ive been lied to because all they would do was tell me that their systems working now they couldnt take that large amount due today they will transfer me to somebody and I would get disconnected this went on for almost a week I did not know what to do because I was doing everything Im supposed to do. I got my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX involved to help me get this paid in an on-time manner so they did call with me we got a wire confirmation and paid it through wire which was still not easy to do because that day we also got the runaround but it was done with confirmation still four days prior to the date that its due but I was still not happy with all the runaround that I had to go through but that said the payment was due I have the confirmation to receive the deduction that they took it and now yesterday they started calling me to let me know and state that I have A payment due for interest because my payment was never received on time which is 100 % is NO CORRECT. I have my proof of payment, deducted from my account on XXXX XXXX and confirmation they received it. I feel that they are not working ethical or professional to ensure the lending practices and process is followed, there is no excuse for this to have happened and if its happening to me it sure is to others. I work very hard to have the phenomenal credit worthiness I have established and for this company to show no effort or care about this other then when I called again today to send them proof all I got was transferred and transferred disconnected AGAIN and told they only go by what their system shows and it shows I still owe. I asked them for a contact number of someone who can hold accountable for this because what their system shows is not correct and Im being wrongly charged as well and I feel giving the runaround and it this point they fraudulently got me to use the company to only purposely charge me extra,, it is wrong because I have all proof that this was paid and paid prior to ONTIME they stated they can only process my payment today for interest of over XXXX. I also have my call log to show my efforts in doing so. Can you please help? They can not get away with their negligence. Also the customer service rep said that its not their fault Because they have many of payments that they receive and sometimes it takes them longer while according to my timeline it took them six days after receiving and taking my money to update my account which is not acceptable at all and I hope you agree. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter in my inbox on my credit card that stated the authorize user has been removed. To clarify that I emailed them and ask them to add his name to the letter saying that he is no longer an authorized user. On XXXX XXXX it was reported to the credit bureau that he was still an authorized user so I called the credit company and ask them why they put him in as an authorized user because now his credit score dropped, and his debt to ratio went up. Hes trying to buy a house and now because of them reporting this to the credit bureau after I had asked them to remove him he hast to wait to get a mortgage for to refinance his house. I have documentation to prove this and I would like it removed immediately from his credit report. The credit card is a XXXX XXXX XXXX by XXXX XXXX When I called to dispute it with the credit card company, they were like oh well.

Consumer Complaint: I was told it is a gift voucher and was given a store card by forever 21 which involved a lot of paperwork. Back then I did not know what a store card was. This was on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. I received mails from them and I thought they were promotions for forever 21. When I received these mails every month. I opened a mail on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to find that I had to pay XXXX USD. I called customer care the very next day and it is very hard to reach them. I paid the amount and asked them to close the card on XXXX XXXX XXXXThey promised me that I wont incur anymore charge from their side since the card was closed. To my horror I incurred XXXX USD by the month of XXXX. I call them up just to find out that there was a hidden XXXX USD which accumulated interest and a late fee to become XXXX USD. They promised me that there wont be any more fee if I pay this XXXX USD. I paid the same hoping this matter is closed once and for all. I receive a mail from them in XX/XX/XXXX that I have to XXXX USD by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am bleeding and this is not fair. Neither customer support nor their chat is useful. I need justice. When I narrow down on the statements. They are just interest and late fee on the interest even after the card and account are closed. How many times should I keep paying.

Consumer Complaint: Due to a previous complaint there was a cease and desist letter and this company promised to stop with illegal collection and harassment. The problem is that now they are claiming I owe all this money that I dont and they wont send me a bill to clear it up or accept payment. They are reporting this bogus amount due now to all three credit bureaus and given me no way to look at what the charges are to resolve or pay it. This has had a huge effect on my credit score bringing it from over 700 down to 500 something! This is unlawful and illegal. I want this removed from my credit report.
