Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank with XXXX XXXX has called me repeatedly, everyday. They have used about 15 different phone numbers, if not more. They start the calls at XXXX and continue them throughout the day. They leave voicemails on my phone insinuating that legal action will be taken. They have even mentioned me having an attorney. It is extremely stressful. For awhile I did think they were scammers. I have multiple phone numbers that I can share and voicemails.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Problem with fees
Consumer Complaint: I have been charged XXXX as return check charge in the XXXX statement. I request this charge be waived since the balance due of {$99.00} on the XXXX statement had already been paid in full on time and there was no outstanding balance. My bank had sent a check for {$99.00} on XX/XX/23. When I followed up with Cominity Bank customer service, I was advised that the check has not been received and presumed lost or stolen. On customer service suggestion, I agreed they debit my checking account for full payment of {$99.00}. This was done by them on XX/XX/23. I am therefore surprised that now customer service is saying they did receive my banks check and tried to cash it. I had of course put a stop payment to prevent loss or fraud. I fail to understand why Cominity bank would try to cash the lost check when you had already debited my checking account and there was no balance due. I also fail to understand why customer service would not advise me before trying to cash the lost check that it had been found by Cominity bank. Finally I question why customer service did not advise me when I called them to debit my checking account that if the lost check is subsequently found what action Cominity bank would take. Why am I being penalized for following up on my banks check, making debit payment to Cominity bank on time and why customer service did not advise me in advance of Cominity bank policy if lost check is subsequently found? Kindly reverse the return check charge and confirm.

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Can't close your account
Consumer Complaint: Paid of my Ulta and Victoria Secret Credit Cards owned by Comenity Bank. Called to pay off accounts and requested email confirmation of my accounts being closed down. The agent confirmed and I left it at that. The cards showed paid off and closed on credit report, my accesses were closed down so I could no longer log in. I assumed I missed the email. In XXXX I recieved a letter for each card with interest fees I was charged after my accounts were " closed ''. I went to each platform to log in and both confirmed I didn't exist. Had to call customer service to re-gain access. Once I gained access I sent a message telling them everything I just stated amd requested they remove the fees and close my account as I had originally requested. They sent a letter via physical mail denying my request and threatening to send me to collections if I didn't pay. Now the cards are back on my credit score and I can not log in due to not existing in their system. Please help. I always paid their cards on time and never thought I would be placed in a situation like this. Thank you for your help. Regards, XXXX
