I pay online through a linked account with my XXXX XXXX checking account.EVERY time I make a payment Barclays Bank, my credit card company, hold the money for 7 days AFTER the funds have cleared my bank, making it therefore unavailable for me to use.

Consumer Complaint: The company had set return fees on amounts not taken out of the account on the due dates and taken it out of cards stating there were no funds on the account when I called the cards associated with other banks and there were funds on the account. This resulted in fraudulent credit reporting and my credit to go delinquent. This has been happening since 2017 and I am still paying {$40.00} a month under a settlement with Barclays Bank.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, & XXXX I was charged {$100.00} from XXXX ( XXXX ) for eye serum I did not order ( See doc 1 ) called Barclay see ( doc3 ) Then see ( Doc 2 ) with a pirated tracking number not associated with me or my address according to usps. Alleged delivered 2 days before ordering. Barclays just said they had a tracking number & would not remove the charge! In the meantime on the XXXX statement ( Doc1 ) I was charged {$44.00} & {$1.00} from XXXX Called spoke with XXXX & he said he would remove the charge. It was removed. Also all on XX/XX/1922 was charged {$69.00} from XXXX ( XXXX ) called spoke with XXXX according to her this was a XXXX tape! Also on XXXX, XXXX was charged {$590.00} from XXXX ( XXXX ) Called & guess who answered the phone XXXX from XXXX media. She said these were also a bunch or XXXX things like XXXX etc.. Called & Barclays ( spoke with XXXX ) told they would remove the XXXX & {$590.00} charge. ( Doc 4 ) XXXX statement ( Doc 5 ) On ( Doc 6 ) they send 2 more cards I never detached from paper nor did I activate them. ( Doc 7 ) claims these were Valid & put the charges back on see ( Doc 8 ) XXXX statement. Called spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX assured me it would be off the statement in XXXX. XXXX statement arrived ( Doc 9 ) Charges still on acct. Spoke with XXXX & was told they gave the money back to the supplier. I called said supplier. I was told NO they had pulled the money from the XX/XX/22. Which was correct. They have never been given the money back. Yet Barclays is charging me & late charges. I ask where is the money then?? The supplier told me they didn't have it and the account was closed. Yet you are still charging me. They told me to make a police report. The police said they couldn't do anything this was a civil matter. So I've been going around & around for 7 months. Please help me!

Consumer Complaint: I opened a Barclays account through XXXX to finance a laptop. Once I paid off the balance I closed the account but it didn't close rather 2 new accounts opened without my consent or knowledge. On one of the " new '' accounts I received a statement via email saying I had a balance due. I phoned the number and reported this as fraud. I spoke with the fraud department again on XXXX XXXX and they said the charge had been declared as fraud and removed and a credit was posted on XX/XX/XXXX. On XXXX XXXX I received another email saying : " Your account is now seriously delinquent. We want to help and may be able to offer you options to prevent this account from being charged off on XX/XX/XXXX. But you must contact us immediately. '' I have spent hours on the phone with this company trying to close the two fake accounts that were never opened by me and to get the balanced removed off of my record! Thank you XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22 I reported a fraudulent charge on my credit card to Barclays. Barclays issued a provisional credit and a new card was issued on XX/XX/22. On XX/XX/22 the credit card company sent a letter indicating that the charge was investigated and was deemed fraudulent. On XX/XX/22 the credit card company informed their investigation was complete and the charge was not fraudulent. The provisional credit was reversed. The charge was reported to the merchant as fraudulent and my online account was closed to avoid any future unauthorized purchases. Per regulation Z I should not be held responsible for fraudulent charges on my credit card.

They told me that it only applies to purchases beginning in XXXX. The word XXXX appears nowhere in the invitation email that I received, that is attached. This will hurt people who will assume, as I did that any purchases made between now and XXXX will be get the low rate -- and they will not. Very deceptive. Angers me. How can they get away with leaving that out.
