Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX - went to XXXX to open credit card, found out there is a Bank of America credit card opened under my credit journey XX/XX/XXXX - went to Bank of America and explained situation, they searched up my SSN and could not find an account under it but the account is still showing up on my credit journey, I discovered the account is linked to someone elses name and birth year and incorrect addresses Bank of America filed a report I called XXXX XXXX XXXX they help file a report, logged down the fraud info and corrected the XXXX XXXX XXXX info and they are waiting for me to send in a pdf to confirm the info to update the system, they also referred me to file this report

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a phone case from XXXX in XXXX XXXX ( {$33.00} ). Immediately after/within three hours, I became aware of questionable practices of XXXX. I attempted to cancel the order, XXXX refused ( stated unable to stop shipment ). I filed a complaint with Bank of America. I never received case from XXXX. Bank of America refused to credit account because XXXX provided proof of shipment. I advised Bank of America that I never received the case and if I had it was my intentions to return, which was allowed - I had to show the return policy too. I filed a claim with Bank of America for item not received, Bank of America disregarded my complaint. Today, I noticed that the {$33.00} was placed back on my account on XXXX I am requesting assistance from CFPB with Bank of America forcing me to pay for a case I never received. The bank 's current practice does not protect me the customer. XXXX has questionable practices and poor business practices ( XXXX ), which did not matter at all to the bank. I have an $ XXXX balance and I filed a claim for {$33.00}, an item I never received and the bank did not even respond to my claim, which they have a duty to provide the customer protection. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: In accordance with the Fair Credit reporting act the following creditors violated my rights under the 15 USC 1681 section 6 o 2 states " I have a right to privacy ( 15 USC 1681 section 604 states a consumer can not furnish an account without my written instructions under 15 USC 166b, my XXXX account, Bank of America, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. Looking to have it reflect correctly on my XXXX, XXXX and XXXX account. Under the FDCPA, a debt collector may not call any person repeatedly or continuously with the intent to annoy, abuse, or harass them. I received multiple calls from XXXX demanding payment from a debt that is now in a charge off state, I need the following accounts removed from my credit asap, because I have every right to fair treatment.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 I called Bank of America ( BOA ) requesting the benefits that came with the card. I am particularly interested in XXXX car rental benefit since I will be renting cars overseas. The benefit phone number ( XXXX ) is not listed on the back of the card which is a XXXX hurdle and obtaining it requires a long line wait and prompts to get to the CSR to obtain it. XXXX is the misinformation that is given to customers by BOA that this is handled by the department within the BOA. It is not as it is handled by a third party vendor to the BOA. I XXXX attempted to receive info about the entity handling this benefit I was told that it is a generic " claims center '' and then I was hang up on. So the question is : please list the entity to which this function was subcontracted to. Full corporate entity name and corporate address. XXXX, the overseas rental car companies require a letter from a card issuer ( letter of benefit ) and not from a third party or a processor, stating that the customers such as myself has a coverage for the XXXX otherwise they will require a customer to purchase XXXX. The BOA refused to provide this letter stating that it is the other department 's responsibility to do so ( once again fraudulently alleging that the benefits management function is done inhouse ). In other words the BOA is effectively refusing to provide a benefit it advertised that it does which is part of its marketing. ,

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX - Set up manual payment for total credit card balance of {$1400.00}. No indication in online account portal of any auto pay set up. This is a card not used since XXXX. - BoA processed auto pay for {$1400.00} on same date, resulting in overdraft on bank account and + {$1400.00} balance on credit card. - Called BoA on XX/XX/XXXX after seeing duplicate payment, stated they would issue refund to my bank account within 10 days. XX/XX/XXXX - Had not received refund ; called BoA. They claim to have issued refund on XX/XX/XXXX. Refund erroneously sent to an account at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX not ever associated with me. - BoA claimed they would reverse this, issue refund to correct bank account that BoA has on file ( from where they debited my payments ), and have XXXX call me by XXXX XXXX XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX - Did not receive refund or call from BoA manager as promised. Agent claimed they would issue a refund within 10 days still. Could not connect me with supervisor or manager -- claimed one would call me in 24-48 hours. - Asked for them to walk me through my autopay settings -- to see where it is set up and configured. Places to click apparently not showing up in my online portal. Agent said she spoke to a supervisor and they said that auto pay is not set up on my account. This is despite BoA processing an auto pay that led to the initial overpayment on XXXX XXXX.
