Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: I recently applied for credit on XX/XX/2023, which I was denied. I am asking Bank of America to reconsider their decision, regardless of the reason for this denial which has negatively impacted on me, I have the right to credit. On your XXXX XXXX filling with the XXXX on page XXXX under credit extension commitments it states " The Corporation enters into commitments to extend credit such as loan commitments, XXXX 's and commercial letters of credit to meet the financing needs of its customers '', under credit card securitization it states, " XXXX XXXX securitizes originated and purchased credit loans ( including receivables ) to support its own and its customers financing and investing needs which I have received no benefits. Therefore, withholding my rights to my securities is indeed securities fraud.

Subissue: Late or other fees
Consumer Complaint: My daughter opened a student checking acct with Bank of America in XXXX. My name was on the acct as well. BOA promoted these " beginner '' accts as non-fee. Later, the acct status was changed to their most elite product ( now known as " Advantage Relationship '' ) that required a minimum {$20000.00} average daily balance to avoid the XXXX XXXX monthly maintenance fee. Neither she nor I authorized this change as, obviously, a college student can not maintain that balance. XXXX XXXX, branch manager, at BOA unit # XXXX, suggested in a phone call on XXXX that this could be a coding error. BOA accts that benefit from direct deposit are also not subject to fees regardless of the balance. XXXX XXXX and her associate, XXXX XXXX, have confirmed this to us. Although my daughter 's paychecks have been direct deposited into this account since beginning her first professional job in XX/XX/XXXX, the XXXX XXXX monthly fee was still charged. So, for XXXX months ( XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX ) qualifying direct deposits ( more than the {$250.00} minimum ) went into this acct. This indicates a refund due of {$4100.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I wired millions from BOFA to what ended up being for cryptocurrency. I was never told by BOFA from the beginning that it could be a scam until it was too late after I had already transferred/wired money and I ended up losing about {>= $1,000,000} which Bank of America should compensate me. The transfers were mainly made from the savings account and may have also been made from the checking account.

Consumer Complaint: My husband and I have a XXXX XXXX that is our only source of income for our family. We have XXXX Bank of America business credit cards with Bank of America. Until recently we have always been able to make our payments on time. On XX/XX/XXXX BOA withdrew {$2700.00} out of our checking account to pay CC # 1. This setoff payment included the minimum amount due for XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX BOA withdrew {$4000.00} for CC # 2 and left us with less than enough to cover our rent, payroll, or any living expenses. We have tried working with the bank and they will not return the money. Our deposit agreement with the bank says that setoff payments will not be used to pay credit card payments. I certainly don't want to default on any balances due, but not sure how I can recover when I am not able to pay my mortgage, utilities, payroll, minimum payments for other balances or provide food for my XXXX children when over XXXX XXXX was withdrawn unexpectedly. I understand BoA would like their past due money. But without the money in our account we are not able to get products needed to finish orders that would put more money in our account that would produce the ability to make our payments. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. We were not given any notice of these deductions.
