Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2024, I made a check deposit with a teller at Bank of America XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX, PA location. I was told {$220.00} would be available the next day and the rest available on XX/XX/2024. The next day on XX/XX/2024, my checking was overdrawn {$1600.00} and {$220.00} was missing. I couldnt get to bank because Im in training all day with my new job. I called on XX/XX/2024 XXXXXXXX XXXX the XXXX number, the gentleman couldnt find the original deposit, I gave him the all the numbers on the two receipts the teller gave me. He still couldnt find the deposit. Put me on hold came back and said its bank error. It should be resolved the next day. I asked him are you sure because my checking account is overdrawn {$1600.00} and my paycheck hits the account the next day. Your direct deposit should be fine. The next day on XX/XX/2024 my checking account is still overdrawn but now {$680.00}. Im devastated, I was explained this will be resolved and I would be able to receive my paycheck. I decided to go to my local branch Bank of America XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, NJ XXXX. The Assistant Manager XXXX XXXX and another gentleman overextended their efforts. She put my account in good standing and able to receive my paycheck. I was left no funds couldnt pay my bills or get anything to eat all day Friday. I was told from XXXX number and the chat line I would have to wait until Monday, XX/XX/XXXX after XXXX for the funds to clear. As of today still missing a check deposit. Unacceptable. The check deposit is a local check from XXXXXXXX XXXX Wheres the check deposit. I need assistance to resolve this matter now.

Consumer Complaint: Subject : Request for Reopening My Customized XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account I hope this message finds you well. I recently discovered that my Customized XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX account was closed by Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX. After reviewing the situation, I believe the closure may be linked to a series of events that started when Bank of America initiated an unauthorized payment of - {$24000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX on my travel reward card, without my consent or any pending payment obligation. Upon noticing this unauthorized transaction, I promptly contacted my bank, XXXX, and requested them to halt the payment. Regrettably, in the process, XXXX also implemented a stop payment on all future transactions, unbeknownst to me. Consequently, when I used XXXX Bill Pay to settle my dues with Bank of America, some of the subsequent payments were returned, leading to a misunderstanding. I want to clarify that I have since settled all outstanding balances with Bank of America. It was not my intention to cause any disruption, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I have been a loyal customer since XXXX, and my other accounts with Bank of America have consistently maintained good standing. Considering my longstanding relationship with Bank of America and the unintentional nature of these events, I kindly request the reopening of my Customized XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX account. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I had made a purchase for airline tickets that was blocked by the fraud department of my Bank of America Credit Card. The message sent to me said that the charge was declined and asked if I had made the charge. My account was frozen until a response from me was made. I confirmed that I did the charge but their next message said that if the charge was declined that I would have to contact the merchant and request that the charge be reprocessed, otherwise I did not have to do anything. I was told this charge was declined and would remain declined. However the merchant continued to send authorizations until the charge went through. I did not authorize them to continue billing my account. The charge was declined and shoule have remained declined. I called Bank of America when the charge posted to my account and told them what had happened. They refused to stop the merchant from billing my account after it was declined and then they refused to acknowledge their own messages to be accountable for the charge posting. Every time I called in they made the excuse that they did not have the message in front of them and could not reference it. I offered to send the text correspondence to them, they refused to consider it. They said the charge was allowed and I have to pay it, against what the text message instructed. When the charge was declined, I made other arrangements and did not want this flight... .I did not use the ticket and now am having to pay for something that I did not use and they allowed to go through on my account that should not have processed after they declined it. I did not go back to the merchant and authorize the charge a second time. I want my card balance with any late fees and interest to be refunded. I have closed this account as I do not want to do business with this company. They caused this problem. If the fraud department wanted to flag something they could have called me and take care of things directly, but that is not the level of customer service they provide.

Consumer Complaint: I left Bank of America after 15 years. I had {$1500.00} left in my checking 's account. They mailed me the final amount to my apartment address in XX/XX/XXXX. I have never had mail compromised or stolen at this address. In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from BoA that captured check # XXXX endorsed and cashed by an unknown woman who forged my name and signed her name on the check ( " XXXX XXXX '' ). I do not know this woman nor did I give her consent to take or cash my check. The capture date was XX/XX/XXXXXXXX meaning BoA had notice this forgery took place. I immediately contacted BoA. For the remainder of XXXX, I called every other month to check on the status of BoA refunding my money ; every person I spoke to guaranteed they would yet BoA never did. A representative recommended as a last ditch effort to submit a written fraud claim and mail it to their XXXX office. I spent {$13.00} on certified mail. I filled out the form BoA provided, including getting a notary public to notarize my affidavit of events. I submitted the letter in XX/XX/XXXXXXXX ; BoA received it on XX/XX/XXXX. They said it would take 45 days to decide. I never heard back. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called BoA and was told my fraud claim was denied. They could not provide me a reason why or what additional information they needed to make a different decision. No one would tell me what the appeals process would be. My information was given to the investigator and told he would call me the following day. He never did. I have still not heard from BoA. I'm at a loss. I was robbed. I filed a police report. I spoke to various BoA departments over the last year totaling HOURS, I followed BoA instructions, and still have not been made whole. I am at a loss for what to do next so I am submitting this complaint on XX/XX/XXXX in order for CFPB to investigate or attempt to make things right. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: A couple years ago Bank of America closed my account. I found out because I wasnt able to use my debit card on a vending machine at school. I was still in high school at the time. I was unable to login into my online banking app so I called the number that the app provided. However when I called the guy only said that my account had been closed because there had been fraudulent activity and that I wasnt going to be able to get any bank account for the next 5 years. Because the bank representative on the phone wasnt much help I went to the actual bank however it was a similar situation where all they told me was that there was fraudulent activity on the account with a check deposit on the app and then transfer to a XXXX account. All in which activities I didnt do. I wasnt provided with anything on what to do to fix the issue so I havent been able to open a bank account since.

Consumer Complaint: I have received a large volume of calls, which I have refused to answer due to the stressful nature of my situation, and to being either asleep or working during. As I didn't answer them, I don't expect them to know my schedule, but they have repeatedly violated ftc guidelines for maximum number of calls in a 7 day period m, and have tried to conceal this fact by using private numbers, and/ spoofing to get me to answer. Due to the nature of their tactics, I am unable to ascertain whether the malfactor is bank of America, XXXX, or both. I dont believe it'd be difficult to find out which one has been using these tactics. Regardless, one or both of these corporations has blatantly ignored federal guidelines.

Consumer Complaint: I got unemployed start of pandemic, got into a little debt waiting on payments to start. Had been starting XXXX XXXX XXXX in spare time, started using website XXXX in XXXX, Ive gotten behind on my taxes, been digging through financials to file. XXXX I averaged $ XXXX {$50.00} in charges a month on leads a month from XXXX, in XX/XX/XXXX I start seeing {$100.00} charges, tried for months to speak to them, couldnt delete card, told bank to freeze merchant, never got help. Just printed statements and went line by line in XXXX. I knew it was a lot but only just Discovered it was {$2700.00} in all, total they stole, from a loyal customer, I won best of XXXX XXXX, finally figured out how to delete my card in XX/XX/XXXX. This was a week ago, since been going through every account, fraud is everywhere, over every account, double charges for steaming apps, fraudulent accounts, paid and paid and paid on cards, never made progress despite {$1000.00} payments, {$500.00} payments. Now the site has a number, recorded call, no help, went to bank, no help. Had paid off one creditor several times, perfect payment history XXXX XXXX in purchases, closed account, refused to explain or accept the {$200.00} left. I Got behind, overwhelmed, working 7 days a week, paying, paying, paying, creditors closed accounts, changing terms, collections. Kept paying the vendors that didnt change terms and treated me fairly, had them all on my XXXX, spent the whole week disputing fraudulent charges, XXXX of dollars over several years, every single account. Me and wife had Bank of America cards, yesterday they told me too bad about {$2700.00}, I requested printed statements, every account, especially the ones in collections, they refused any transaction data from credit accounts, XXXX XXXX calls and harasses us all hours of the night XXXX times a day, XXXX XXXX XXXX had us served, was trying to make arrangements to pay them {$250.00} paid each account, now its a different firm but I understand now why I could never make progress, unfair lending practices, crazy fees, found so much fraud, outright theft from vendors we ALL trust. I froze our credit, initiated disputes, still have so much to go through. I hold myself accountable, I failed, was to trusting, have and kept my records but I should have paid more attention. Ive just been in survival mode, lady from XXXX told me yesterday I was lying, impossible cuz XXXX XXXX charged card, refused my dispute. Contacted that vendor last night, rep saw service was never used or visited by us and refunded 24 months worth of {$11.00}. Beware of big names and small charges, screenshots and recordings of reps being evasive, lying, decieving. Such a nightmare, still got a lot to comb through. The bank declines a fuel up, verification text but didnt notice XXXX XXXX, 95 % from XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Cards on credit report never heard of now. Was gon na talk to debt consolidation but now we are being warned its a scam. I XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, work hard for my money, drywall is heavy. Dont mind paying my own way, done it my whole life. Try to live by the Golden rule, despite being inactive since XXXX, still highest rated XXXX with best reviews on that site for my area. I dont know what to do, or what tools are available. Every single day I get harassed and intimidated, called over and over and over. People trying to take us to court but refuse to show us the charges they say we owe, lenders changing terms, lowering limits, never explain, treat us like dirt. XXXX, weird fees, been drowning for years. Damaging credit, XXXX XXXX XXXX, we trust that we are doing business in good faith, we all have to work XXXX jobs to stay afloat, not sure what to do or what I can do, But Ive been reading consumer law and there are suits against all these crooks that have done irreparable damage in our lives for the same things we are victims of and laws against whats still being done to us today. I just know Ive paid more than I borrowed, despite some crazy inflated balances. I need to review the records but cant access them. What do I do? We need help, this isnt right or legal. Who do you call to enforce the consumer laws?
