Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am writing in addition to closed claim # XXXX - since then I have received a number of calls ID 'd as Bank of America XXXX It is there official XXXX number calling me repeatedly and not leaving any messages. Today on XXXX I called BofA and spoke to two associates. The first told me that although my account had been closed last summer due to my trust in Bank of America, that it was still fraud. I spoke to some one in the fraud department who claimed he'd let the appropriate staff know my deep concern. I stated to the associate that it was a crying shame that the bank itself is unable to get a handle on spoofed/fraudulant calls, avoiding their responsibility in protecting their consumers. I am still out of {$3400.00} that was STOLEN via XXXX by an imposter posing as a Bank of America associate. The bank blamed me instead of securing their product, making it safe for their costumers to use. It is disgusting that the bank continues to do nothing when it comes to bank scams. It should be THEIR responsibility to protect their numbers from being spoofed. I would love my money to be refunded by Bank of America, the damages done by their lack of accountability has impacted my life significantly. I could USE THE MONEY I EARNED.

Consumer Complaint: Beginning on XX/XX/2023 Ive been receiving a series of emails related to online banking applications being submitted in my name at Bank of America and those applications being accepted. Each time Ive received these emails, Ive contacted Bank of America to alert them that I did not open these accounts and I do not have and do not intend to open any Bank of America accounts in the future. Each time Ive been assured that the accounts have been suspended and my profile has been flagged so that additional accounts can not be opened. Nevertheless, I have continued to receive these emails and additional accounts have been opened. I have put fraud alerts in with all of the major credit unions but this has not prevented Bank of America from accepting all of these fraudulent applications in my name.

Consumer Complaint: I have a Alaska visa credit card thru bank of America. I had this card since last Year. I made the 1st payment in full which was {$2300.00} and I thought I set up Auto pay to make the next payment but the Auto pay wasn't set up correctly. When I found out that my account was past due I right away called the bank and ask him to give a payoff the account. The customer service said because my account was past due they have blocked the card. I told her that was ok but I need the payoff. She kept me on hold for about a minute and came back and said if you want to payoff the account it's {$210.00} dollars. I made the payment right away. Yesterday I went to my bank of America account to check my balance and saw the credit card was past due. I called today to talk to customer service to see why my account was passed due. She said the customer service gave me the wrong payoff so I had to pay all the late fees, interest and additional {$150.00}. I told her I will not pay that because I was given a wrong payoff and also ruined my credit because they have reported on my credit. She refused to help me and took no accountability for what they have done and hang up the phone on me. I need help because the bank is not welling to work with me.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Consumer Complaint: I deposited 2 cashier 's checks of US {$20000.00} each on XX/XX/XXXX into a checking account with Bank of America. On XX/XX/, Bank of America closed my account without explaining the reasoning and illegally withheld and kept the funds from this account ( a total of US {$40000.00} ). They claim that they do not have the funds, however, the funds deposited were from cashier 's checks which they already cashed. They cashed the checks on XX/XX/2022 and the funds were already transferred to my Bank of America account. On XX/XX/2022, Bank of America withdrew the {$40000.00} from my account and closed the account. I went back the Bank of America branch where I made the deposit and have spoken to the account manager and branch manager, XXXX XXXX. I was told that " the back office decided to start an investigation '' and that he no longer has any access to the account or what the back office is doing. He stated that he knows I am a longtime client of Bank of America and is aware that I have other accounts at their bank, however, once its in the back office, there is nothing he can do. He said he no longer has access to the account. He advised me to call Bank of America directly which I did, but never got any explanations or direct answers. I have continued to contact Bank of America numerous times and all they tell me is that I have to wait until the investigation is over, but they don't provide any estimate or details. I asked if there was any information that I can provide to help with their investigation, but she said there is nothing. Its been a year and I still have not heard back from Bank of America and my funds have still not been returned to me. They have never provided me with any details or court orders with regards to where they are holding my funds. I have received confirmation from the bank where the cashier 's checks originated from, and they have provided the swift routing details showing that the cashier 's checks were cashed and funds were transferred to Bank of America. However, Bank of America denies that they are holding my funds.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call at around XXXX XXXX from someone who said he was XXXX XXXX Bank of America in credit card services. I was with family so did not answer. A recording was left. He stated that if he could not get me on the phone he would put a " security hold '' on a BOA credit card they had issued in my name and to call them right away. So on Monday XX/XX/XXXX I called BOA and talked to XXXX in their Fraud Dept. He asked me some questions and stated the person who applied for the BOA credit card said she was a XXXX. I have never been nor am I now a XXXX. This person used my credentials except for the addres which they used at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA... I told him this was a bogus address and I have never even visited Pennsylvania nor do I know anyone or have not ever lived at that address. He said he would take care of it and make sure and let the CRA '' XXXX ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ) know and make sure it comes off my reports. He did not. It is still showing as an address along with a BOA Credit card for {$11000.00} on my credit report. This is wrong. I have informed XXXX and sent a police report as I had the Officer listen to the recording. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC stating Identity Theft and will attach it to this info. Bank of America still has not removed this " bogus '' information from my credit reports even though I have requested a letter promising they would. I have not received one. I have spent hours and hours on the phone trying to resolve this.

Consumer Complaint: Please refer my complaint against Bank of America during last month. Complaint XXXX XXXX. I have explicitly told Bank of America to not call me unless you have a resolution. Bank of America really needs to be trimmed down and become efficient. Somebody from Bank of America called me for this case when i was totally busy. Whenever somebody from Bank of America- they waste a lot of time in verification etc ... Bank of America might say that it's part of their job but why not be more efficient and not waste customers ' time, Today at around XXXX, I called Bank of America as I was not able to setup XXXX even after providing new email-ID. It's saying that email-ID exists. Tried call and asked for supervisor..Supervisor disconnected the call - almost 45 minutes got wasted. Tried on teh chat- they were not good enough to resolved on the chat also. But suprisingly Bank of America is too easy when it comes for ACH or wire- as they make money in these kind of transfer service. XXXX is too difficult and intentionally Bank of America is making it difficult for the customers.
