Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, when I received my Bank of America XXXX credit card statement, I noticed over XXXX dollars in credit card charges that were not mine or my business partners. I contacted the credit card immediately. They asked me if I had the card and I told them that once I saw the statement I went to look for the card and realized it was XXXX stolen ; reporting the card was no longer in my possession. The XXXX XXXX asked me the last time I remembered using the card and went over the list of charges. I identified what charges were unauthorized and fraudulent. I was assured it would be resolved and was sent a new card. I asked the agent If I should make a payment on the valid balance and she advised me that I should make the payment before the billing due date to avoid interest. A few days later I received my new Bank Of America XXXX XXXX card and noticed the charges were taken off. A month later in XXXX, I noticed the fraudulent charges back on my account. I called a fraud XXXX and they told me it was because I made a XXXX dollars payment after I reported fraud. I explained to her I owed that amount and was told to make that payment, but that the fraudulent charges weren't mine. She stated she understood and re-disputed the fraudulent charges. A month later, I received another letter stating I was still liable. I called and they said because I didn't report that my card was missing and the chip was used. I explained that I did report the card was missing and to in my possession. The new fraud person researched and saw that and said he would refile the dispute. I waited and was told that I was liable just because and it was final. I continued to dispute and told them they were not honoring their fraud protection guarantee and that I would not be paying the fraud charges. They said I had to. So, now I am reporting it here.

Consumer Complaint: The Bank of America always forces us to interact with robots when contacting customer service. There is no direct phone number to reach, and someone needs to text and interact with a robot, and the robot does not help at all, always diverting the real problems by providing many non-sense answers. There could be an urgent situation someone needs to contact directly to a person. This deceives the customer when they advertise there is befit to using XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I stopped payment on check number XXXX onXX/XX/2023 at XXXX XXXX It was a bill paycheck from Bank of America for {$11000.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The bank cleared the check on XX/XX/2023. One of the bank'e employees reversed the stop payment on XXXX at XXXX XXXX EST which allowed for the check to be cleared. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX says that they did not cash the check. So there are 2 issues. The agent at Bank of America who reversed my stop payment is what I am addressing in this complaint. The person who fraudulently cashed the check is another issue that can't be addressed through this complaint. I filed a complaint with XXXX in the check fraud department with bank of America at XXXX XXXX XXXX. Bank of America cleared a check drawn to a completely different individual and address than what I indicated on my bill pay check. This is egregious and outside Bank of America 's scope as a fiduciary. This had to be done by a BOA employee.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 my credit monitoring company notified me of a Bank of America account that was opened in my name. I did not authorize the opening of this account and on that same day I notified Bank XXXX XXXX of the fraud who advised they would close the account. On XX/XX/2023 I received a statement from Bank of America showing a {$0.00} balance on that account through XX/XX/2023. The account should never have been active through XXXX and should have been closed on XX/XX/XXXX, and upon calling Bank of America on XX/XX/2023 they advised me that the account was closed and I had only received a statement reflecting a XXXX date due to billing cycles. I asked that they send me documentation that the account was closed and the rep I spoke with advised she would request it be mailed to me, but that it would likely take a month or longer. Today, XX/XX/2023, I received another statement from Bank of America showing a {$0.00} balance on the account from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. The account should be closed and I should no longer be receiving statements.

Consumer Complaint: Got a call supposedly from Bank of America that someone was trying to send a XXXX for {$1400.00} from my account. They transferred me to XXXX which was supposedly the XXXX XXXX department. They ask me to create a contact and gave me a code to supposedly cancel the {$1400.00} transfer but the code was an amount to transfer money. Fortunately, I realized that and called the bank and they confirm that it was a scam. I contacted them back and they were laughing because they said that there is nothing thw authorities can do, I hope they are wring and that no one else falls a victim of this scam,

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received an offer to open a business checking account and if I followed the terms of the promotion I would receive a XXXX deposit into the account which did not happen the term were open an account by XX/XX/XXXX and deposit XXXX into the account within in 30 days of opening the account and maintain that. Balance during the maintained period I would receive the funds 1. Make {$20.00} in qualifying deposit within 30 days of account opening I opened account on XX/XX/XXXX and made deposit on XX/XX/XXXX 2.maintain the balance during the maintenance period 3.the maintenance person begins 31 days after account is open XX/XX/XXXX and ends 60 days after account is open 4 make qualifying deposit into account business advantage relationship banking or business advantage fundamentals banking by XX/XX/XXXX my account is business advantage fundamentals. 5 the maintenance period begins 31 calendar days after account opening and ends 90 calendar days after account opening. I opened the account on XX/XX/XXXX 31 days would be XX/XX/XXXX and then would end XX/XX/XXXX. And after fulfilling the required daily amount on {$20.00} in deposits. I still have not received the {$500.00} credit from Bank of America. I called and spoke to rep XXXX with BofA XX/XX/XXXX he advised to go to financial center which I did. I made contact withXXXX XXXX and gave he a copy of the email she said she would have it researched and there was nothing she could do because I set this promotion up online and as of XX/XX/XXXX I still have not received the credit.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/23 Reieved a phone call from Bank of America XXXX number stating that there was a suspicious charge on my checking account ( {$50.00} ) and used the last 4 digits of the account. They said that there was also another cash amount ( {$3400.00} ) that had been that was not yet showing up yet as a charge, but had been recorded. they said to reverse this I needed to open a XXXX account in my name and transfer funds from my savings in three separate transactions ( $ XXXX ). After each transaction, I would get a message from BOA and would need to reply " yes '' after each in order for it to go through. It wasn't until the third transaction was " pending '' and under review, that I realized that I had no idea where the XXXX funds were going. I thought XXXX was something to do with security, having never used it before. I then did a reverse lookup on the XXXX number and " code '' that they sent me ( I stupidly said to the man calling that it looked like a phone number ( he said " no '' ), but it was. The numbers were involved in scams. I notified my bank because there was still a pending transaction and I didn't want it to go through, but being the weekend, could not reach a real person...
