Consumer Complaint: I phoned and left a message for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, XXXX. I sent her an email XX/XX/XXXX but there was no response.The phone calls were never returned. Further to this investigation I received a new credit card in the mail yesterday at my genuine address. I did not apply to BOA for this new credit card and XXXX put a fraud alert on my credit rating in XXXX of this year. I used to have a bank account with Bank of America in both XXXX, Florida and in another state. Thankfully they sent the new credit card to my genuine address or I wouldnt have know about the fraudulent application.

Consumer Complaint: There is fraud in my Bank of America account. Two accounts on two separate instances were opened by someone that isnt me. BofA closed the accounts but will not do anything to prevent this. The only reason I noticed was because either a ) I noticed a strange account in my banking app or b ) I got a weird email about a new account being opened. Ive asked for them to not allow any accounts to be opened by me and no accounts to be opened by me unless in person. They wont do either. Im concerned they arent doing enough to protect my identity Heres the chain of events so far : XX/XX/23 : Noticed additional checking account in BofA ending in XXXX XX/XX/23 : Contacted BofA XXXX they had indicated that the account was opened fraudulently with my SSN. They closed the account and created a report : XXXX XX/XX/23 : Froze credit with all three bureaus as well as XXXX XX/XX/23 : Filed a police report with XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XX/XX/23 : Received an email from BofA indicating new account had been opened. Called and they said that no additional accounts existed XX/XX/23 : Noticed a new account had been opened in my banking app. Called again. They closed the account and created a new report : XXXX. I emailed the officer on the police report

In XXXX I spoke to a supposed BOFA Fraud unit I was asked to pay a balance of {$1600.00} dollars of monies I didnt then or believe now I owe. At the time I was desperate to open an account even after having such a bad experience with bank employees denying me access to an account of mine that had a balance. Employee out of Nowhere said to me I needed a lawyer. Fast forward that account was purged no more than a couple months after it was closed by BOFA which seems really unusual or odd for the account to be purged without out me be informed. Now Im told I have a restriction until XXXX with no clear explanation by BOFA documents etc. my right to know about anything with my identity attached to it is Violated when information is being withheld and im given misleading information to keep me from knowing including from contacting the proper authorities to report this. I have in my pictures photos of screenshots of accounts but with a twist because those are the pictures except the Internet address was swapped from STATIC ETC. to Secure my connection was never secure, that was my biggest concern that I took to a branch in XXXX Oregan were the branch manager of the BOFA went through account and he himself made claims he said were fraudulent monies that were deposited to 1 of the 4-6 accounts that started existing with my original 2 accounts I opened in XXXX BOFA. Those claims were deposited to account on XX/XX/XXXX, I never got access to and disappeared. BOFA gave me statements with no record of any kind on any account. When comparing my XXXX statements, XXXX Oregan XXXX, online Statements, and XXXX XXXX Branch DTLA statements they were not 1 bit similar Like from a totally different computer program print or windows built

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXXXXXX I deposited a Cashier 's check in the amount of {$3000.00} I was told that it would be available the following day being that it was a next day item. I then saw that a hold was place on the deposited cashier 's check until the XXXX of XXXX. I went into my local branch to speak with a manager in regards to this matter ; which he stated he could not remove the hold. I was then giving a number to the back office and fraud department to get this escalated for the hold to be removed. I was told this would take 24-48 hours to get a approval. While on the phone speaking with an associate I asked to speak with a manager or Supervisor. I was questioned to why I wanted and needed to speak with a manager and or supervisor. I then explained that I have been in banking for 4 years and I currently am a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX at another financial institution. I then began to explain and question the Reg CC guidelines for next day items ( cashier check ) if a hold were to be place on said item how and when it should have been released. I have been banking with Bank of America since XXXX and due to the level and lack of customer service I was provided and the nature of which I needed said funds available is the reason I filing this complaint.

Consumer Complaint: I was selling a dresser on XXXX XXXX and a buyer with the name XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted me for this. There was no reason for suspicion at first, we discussed when he can pick it up and then he asked me for my XXXX email account so that he can transfer the amount ( {$75.00} ). Shortly after, I received a strange email from XXXX. While this was unusual, there were no signs of phishing, so I trusted it. It had asked me to have the buyer send me {$400.00} so that I can raise my limit to a business account. The buyer called me and said he would do so and trusted me to repay him that amount immediately. And so I did to the email account- XXXX and name XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX After this, I received a confirmation from XXXX again. I realized later that I typically receive confirmation of such transactions from my bank and I had not, which is why I started to suspect this. XXXX emailed me again to send {$600.00} more, which I did not send since it was all too suspicious. I searched it up and read about similar scams others had fallen victim to. I called Bank of America immediately to report this and get the charge disputed. I am currently waiting on the claim to be filed.

Then I received a phone call from Bank of America, but I didnt answer. One the second phone call I answered & was told there was a {$3400.00} suspicious XXXX transfer coming out of my account by midnight & that to avoid it I would need to XXXX myself the funds to cancel the suspicious activity. I did as the Bank of America representative instructed me. The money was taken out of my account. I froze the account & replaced my debt card, but havent been reimbursed.
