Consumer Complaint: - My credit card information was used fraudulently on XX/XX/2023 at XXXX XXXX EST. - My credit card is with Bank of America ( Travel Rewards card ). - The card was used at XXXXXXXX XXXX store at XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX. - The card was charged 3 times - {$540.00} ( approved ), {$190.00} ( approved ), and {$260.00} ( declined ), for a total of {$730.00} that I was charged with. - I IMMEDIATELY opened a claim and discontinued my credit card once I got text messages about the charges. - These charges were NOT MADE BY ME- I was physically at my place of work, XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. - I have the phone number of multiple coworkers who can attest I was at work. I also informed multiple coworkers about the situation, they can attest I discussed my credit card information being stolen. The phone numbers of these witnesses/coworkers are : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. - My claim was DENIED on XX/XX/2023. - I tried calling Bank of America to dispute and they were not helpful and told me to open a police report.

Both events with BANK OF AMERICA! - Twice - BOA has allowed someone to open checking accounts in my name. Both times, my wife has received emails from BOA that MY account is approved. I have XXXX BOA accounts. They are using my social security number ( a whole nother BS topic for Congress ), an old address, etc. This time, BOA did tell me that the email address being used is XXXX Can someone get an IP address on this jerk? I tried to log into that account and it has a phone number ending in XXXX attached to it. I can't get any other details. BOA claim # is XXXX - Bank of America should have to monitor my credit for LIFE at this point. The also got me on a predatory loan years ago. - All of the Credit Bureaus are Frozen in my Wife 's, Mine and my Son 's names. This should NOT happen. Ever.

Consumer Complaint: Background : Received statements with fraudulent charges- XXXX. I have worked for months to resolve this problem which was compounded by BoA refusal to speak with me or acknowledge POA. I was unable to get anything done until I made numerous complaints to cfpb. What is currently going on : I am still receiving fraudulent charges monthly on my father 's account. I challenged the XXXX XXXX pass and after complaining to cfpb it was finally removed. Just received the XXXX statement with a XXXX " XXXX XXXX '' charge on it, again fraudulent. I have asked, and asked, and asked BoA to take care of these fraudulent XXXX charges. This has been going on since XX/XX/2022. I am still receiving my dad 's charge card statements with XXXX charges! He does not use XXXX! I can not resolve this problem by getting a new credit card number because when my father and I both called BoA, it was probably XXXX, ( after BoA previously since XX/XX/XXXX refusing for over 30 days to acknowledge my POA and refusing to help me ) we were told that he has a POA and thus is not allowed to get a new card with a new number! So, we elected to keep the old card so he would at least have a card. We were also told by the customer service rep " why did it take you so long to report the fraud? '' So here it is, almost XXXX, and I am still trying to get this fraud that started in XXXX stopped. I can not seem to get anything done and I just don't have time for this XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 U.S. Code 1681 ) says ( 1 ) The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. Inaccurate credit reports directly impair the efficiency of the banking system, and unfair credit reporting methods undermine the public confidence which is essential to the continued functioning of the banking system. So whenever there is a violation under the FCRA, it impairs the efficiency of the banking system. This is a violation of my privacy with my consumer report, since I control what is listed and what is not. In the event that any accounts are reported without my written consent, that is considered identity theft. This is a violation of both 15 U.S. Code 1681b ( 2 ) and 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2. This leads way to civil liability against the credit reporting agency for negligent and willful noncompliance under 15 U.S. Code 1681n, which allows for {$1000.00} per violation, for account listed without my expressed written consent.

My cousin has also the same credit card few days ago. He got 22.99 % with a credit score of XXXX. I called Bank of America, and ask them why my rate is 24.99 % with XXXX XXXX score while my cousin get 22.99 % with XXXX XXXX? They could not answer my question.

On XX/XX/XXXX my account was offset {$140.00} Today on XX/XX/30 my account was offset {$2400.00} I contacted boa about the apparent illegality of these actions, the representative simply stated " if bank of america is doing it, I'm sure it's legal. Even though they might have emailed me they never once called I never receive a call saying my account would soon be closed, since inactivity. I never purchased anything so the negative over draft fees was most likely from the fees they charge me for having the account. I would just like to reopen my account
