I was very convinced that it was real and they sent me a check as an upfront payment and I unknowingly deposited it resulting in the closure of my Bank of America account. I have the emails from when I was first contacted to the name and address of the sender. I spent the {$1000.00}, and waited for my bonus. My renter 's insurance policy was cancelled and I got a small refund in XXXX. I called them in XXXX, XXXX & XXXX about an interest issue, which they finally resolved on the XXXX call, and asked them about my missing Cashback bonus during the XXXX call. They said the insurance refund made me ineligible for the cashback bonus offer.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/2023, both my wife and I received emails stating that an application to open a checking account at Bank of America had been received. Moments later, a XXXX email stating that our accounts had been opened, along with partial information about our account. We called BofA immediately and disputed. Last week, a mere XXXX months later, I woke up to another email about an account application. Minutes later, an email stating the account had been approved. Once again I called BofA immediately to dispute. Account got closed, but this week both my wife and I received debit cards in our names! I don't understand how easy BofA makes it for people to open accounts. XXXX in XXXX months is quite absurd!
