Subissue: Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I transferred {$250.00} to my moms account at XXXX from my Bank of America accounts XXXX option. I send her money using this process about every month and sometimes more than once a month. This time the money did not go to her account, I checked with her for hours after the transfer. Thinking it may be a bank processing delay, I made the same transfer again for {$250.00} to her account name and phone number using Bank XXXX Americas XXXX option. This second time she did receive the transfer. By the next day the first {$250.00} had not been received and I have contacted Bank of America repeated times by phone and created claims to get help getting my money back. This is FRAUD. Bank of America has been very dismissive and saying I agree to their service and transfer made ; however when I provided all the details to both transactions they told me the first transfer went to a Bank of America XXXX account and that they couldnt do anything. They promise and advertise total protection and reassure clients they will protect our money from fraud and these type of problems. I believe they need to refund my money lost in their systems as part of my account protection ; and must have better protection for these transactions they provide service for thru their systems.

Issue: Problem with a purchase or transfer
Subissue: Card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase or transfer
Consumer Complaint: Back in XXXX I had a dispute with Bank of America regarding unemployment benefits and the was told that the dispute was denied. However, upon opening a new unemployment claim in XXXX I have discovered that the claim was later approved and funds were allocated to a dummy account without my knowledge or consent. A debit card was sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX even though that is not my address and they continue to send statements and dispute letter and debit cards to that address despite numerous escalations from my sponsor to update the address, email and number on file and constant request from me to do so as well. I even filed complaints with the OCC to no avail. They provided me with false statements that showed refunded or pending transactions as if they were final and still refuse to give me access to my actual account generated by my sponsor. They have since denied my dispute that I filed on XX/XX/XXXX after constantly pleading for assistance. It was horrendous. They blocked access until I literally coordinated with the guy at the address to let him know that I am now aware and that if I didn't receive the debit card being sent the police would be involved. Finally, I was able to activate a card and gain access to see that they just opened this account in XXXX XXXX after my new EDD claim was approved and started putting funds from the old dispute from XXXX into it but was missing a lot so I did the best I could to research and disputed the additional transactions from XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX To : Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) Subject : Unacceptable wire transfer processes at Bank of America and XXXX XXXX Dear Sir/Madam , I hope to get some help regarding a wire transfer issue related to the sale/purchase of a property. This was a sale by my daughter and her husband to my son and his wife. I am a CA-licensed broker who represented both in the escrow. I also loaned money to my son and his wife to purchase the house. On XX/XX/XXXX, I wired {$340000.00} ( part of my loan ) from my Bank of America trust account to my daughter 's trust account at XXXX XXXX ( same day wire ). The wire routing number was wrong ( ACH number instead of the wire routing number ). I realized this two days after I wired the amount and notified my BoA wiring department. They claimed that the money was with XXXX XXXX already and XXXX XXXX claimed they didn't have it. After two days, XXXX XXXX admitted that the wire was held up in their wire regulatory department. The regulatory process supposedly was for the BoA and XXXX XXXX wire departments to message each other, each transaction stated to be a 48 business hour transaction. No closure timeline was given! After 7-10 days, I asked for alternatives to get the money back in my account. My son-in-law visited his XXXX XXXX branch manager multiple times and I visited my BoA branch manager multiple times. They recommended I recall the wire, and I did. A few days later, XXXX XXXX agreed to deposit the wire into my daughter 's account if I cancelled the recall notice. I did. Unfortunately, this recall got caught in the wire departments ' messaging process! At my son-in-law 's request, XXXX XXXX eventually returned the wire amount to BoA on XXXX ( last Friday ). Now, BoA says it could take 3-5 business days to be in my account! It is 5 days later and BoA is now telling me it could take another 2 days! A same day wire has been held for 21 days ( and counting ) with no reasonable process to correct the routing number issue. Meanwhile, I had to borrow from my home equity line ( at an interest rate of over 7 % ) to close the escrow. Can you help me understand how you can hold these banks responsible for this deliberate withholding of consumer funds with an inexplicable process? Regards, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I am so disgusted with this bank and lack of follow up! I flied a compliant nearly a week ago - I never received a call addressing my concerns, just an email acknowledging it! I have called and left messages for the contact XXXX XXXX- who still has not called me back at all! My account still remains with a negative balance. I do not carry negative balance and it is not my fault the account went into default! I had made a request for funds to be deposited into my account on the XXXX of this month which was plenty time for it to go through. I never had an issue before with transferring money so this is a banking error. I am starting to think I need to move my money from this bank- seems like service isn't something provided to all clients unless you got millions in your account. This should have already been cleared up by now. This was a system issue as the system failed to even transfer the money at the scheduled time.

Consumer Complaint: The nature of the problem is that I made a cash and check deposit yesterday, ( see images ), and the check for {$30.00} cleared into another account. The other account is really my real account with Bank of America, account ending in XXXX. So, I'm currently placing cash, and other transactions on either a closed account or somebody else 's. Purhaps just a fictitious fraudulent account that does not allow me to view " any '' of my cash or check deposits.. In the past, I could see all my deposits, not now. I'm totally being blocked from my real account thar I opened with BoA Employee XXXX XXXX at XXXX, FL on XX/XX/2022. The {$30.00} has not been placed into this account I have access to. I was never informed about any of this being done to me. Now I understand why I never received the {$6000.00} disbursement last month from the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX.
