Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Credit Card. Business ceased due to XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. Contacted B of A Spring of XXXX as had to return to XXXX as wife has XXXX. Asked how could I deal with the matter. Told me to try to make payments. I offered a payment plan from XXXX pension. They declined. I have transcript told me to contact debt management. All this did was postpone the closing off of the card and added thousands in interest on an unpaid balance around {$50000.00}. Never heard any more until XX/XX/XXXX they garnished a personal account without warning. In XX/XX/XXXX did the same. This account supports my daughter who is a XXXX mum with XXXX young children. Contacted multiple B of A departments. Eventually recovery told me I had refused a repayment plan in the spring ( totally untrue ) that my debt was now over {$62000.00} and I was personally liable. I agreed to pay just over {$600.00} a month on 2 conditions. 1/ That they took a payment 1st day of month. They took one that day which was XXXX. 2/ More importantly they provide my signed personal guarantee for a company debt and if unable to do so stop garnishing my personal accounts and provide a refund. I wrote on XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Texas and included Credit Card Center, Debt Management, Debt Recovery, Credit Analyst Department and Business Manager. I have not received any communication whatsoever from the Bank of America to my complaint. I provided my XXXX address. They have my email, USA address and phone. I was told in XXXX that they do not keep records beyond 7 years so it is doubtful they will find a personal guarantee still filed but will put in a request. Really? If no personal guarantee exists then is this not fraud

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America-I have everything set up on my account to be notified of any type of fraudulent activity, text/call/email. On XX/XX/XXXX {$1400.00} was deposited into my account. I called the fraud department on XX/XX/XXXX when I noticed it in my account because that deposit was not made by us. I specifically said to the representative that I felt I should come in to get a new bank account because someone clearly has access to my account and was told NOT TO. Friday XX/XX/XXXX Bank of America deducted {$7200.00} from my account with no notification or authorization. Apparently due to fraud someone now tried to deposit checks for {$3400.00} and {$3800.00}. They did catch that they were fraudulent checks and the money was not deposited BUT they still deducted that amount from my bank account. BOTH representatives that I spoke to said the money was not deposited and they dont know why it was deducted but they cant put the money back in my account until a fraud investigation is done. NO MONEY WAS DEPOSITED. Bank of America TOOK MY MONEY AND WONT GIVE IT BACK. It should NEVER have been allowed to happen especially since a day prior I was told by your fraud representative not to change my back account. Maybe this fraud is happening internally at Bank of America. And again I was never notified any Type of fraud was happening to my account. No text or email. This should have never happened. And of course they will not give me a date of when they will refund MY MONEY.

Consumer Complaint: I have an RV loan with Bank of America that should be pending a payoff as of last week. I attempt to verify this information via my web account, the IVR and a customer service team member and cant get the information from any source. The web account no longer allows me access The IVR will take my account and last 4 of SSN and then directly transfers me to an agent that cant help. All the agent can see is a last payment date nothing more. Its alarming that a consumer cant confirm recipient of payment on their loan. As of now I dont know and wont know if the amount sent satisfies my loan or if I having a pending balance. I dont want this loan to roll another 30 days on my credit report and I dont want fees charged to my account. At the time of payoff should a bank/servicer be allowed to remove all access to a consumers account so they have no way of getting any information? Im needing to show the loan paid in full to receive refunds on gap insurance policy and if not received I could stand to lose more money due to Bank of Americas negligence. I will never do business again with Bank of America. Account # XXXX

I want Bank of America to deposit the amount of {$16000.00} they stole back into the same checking account.

Consumer Complaint: I paid off my balance. Then I accidentally transferred an extra {$5200.00} instead of sending it to my savings. That was XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I requested they return the money to my checking account. Bank of America visa said it would be 5-10 business days. XX/XX/XXXX was ten business days. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and then said I would have the money by close of business day. I still do not have my money. Thats a very scary amount of time to not have my money yet returned to me.

Consumer Complaint: On Friday, XX/XX/2023 I went to my local bank branch ( Bank of America ) to deposit my paycheck from my employer in the amount of {$2500.00} ( get paid every two weeks ). Before the teller deposited my check, I asked her to scan it to inform me if there would be any type of hold placed on the funds. She advised me that the following day ( Saturday, XX/XX/2023 ) I would have access to {$220.00} of the funds and that the remaining balance would be available on Tuesday, XX/XX/2023 by XXXX ( as shown on my deposit Client Receipt ). The following morning, I received an email from B of A stating that the check would be held until XXXX on Tuesday, XX/XX/2023, citing that check specific information indicated that the item may be returned unpaid. The following Monday, I spoke with my employers accountant and was reassured that all Bank of America needed to do was to call XXXX XXXX to verify the funds and call them to verify that I am one of many, many employees who gets paid with the same business checks without any issues. I attempted on three different occasions to get help from Bank of America. Once, by speaking to a customer service representative via their XXXX-customer service number. My second attempt was by going to the branch and speaking with a banker, and my third attempt was by speaking with the branch manager ( XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX ) whom I made an appointment to speak with the next day. Each time I was told that there was nothing that could be done and that I would have to wait until XX/XX/2023, XXXX. I pleaded with them each time that I had utility bills due, my family and I needed groceries, and I needed fuel for my vehicle so that I could get to work. I explained to them that I was living on a very tight budget. With todays technology and the ability to make quick phone calls, it is disheartening that my paycheck funds are being held hostage for the sake of bank policies and procedures that are unfair to the average consumer like me. The company I work for ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) in XXXX XXXX, does not currently offer its employees direct deposit. Other than having to wait until XX/XX/2023, this was the only resolve Bank of America representatives could offer me so that I would not run into this issue in the future. Had I known from the beginning that this type of hold would be placed on my funds I would have found other means to cash my paycheck. Please help.
