Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: Hello Finance Team, my issue is with my current credit XXXX score across all three bureaus.. i applied for an Auto Loan with Bank of America on XX/XX/2021, and i was approved " fully approved Not pre-approved '' and at that time my credit score was XXXX " Excellent-Exceptional '' score, however it dropped a whopping XXXX points all of a sudden and then without my knowledge or consent the Used Car dealership who was in the Bank of america network or preferred dealerships did run my credit again where he shouldn't, because i had an approved loan letter and i did my purchase within 30 days from the initial credit check and approval done from Bank of America . when the dealership ran my credit it resulted in a hard inquiry on my credit file as well as further decrease in my credit score.!! i've been very careful and conscious regarding my bills, loans, credit cards and therefore credit score, always paying on time, never missed a payment or been late on any bill, however this act of having my credit checked by hard inquiries twice within 30 days only to purchase a vehicle has negatively impacted me tremendously, going from XXXX points down to XXXX, i am currently in the process of buying my first time home and truly having hard times due to this mishap Auto loan that devastated my credit score and credit worthiness.. i have included all screenshots necessary to show and highlight what have had happened.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, someone hacked my Bank of America account, added a XXXX recipient which I don't know, and transferred {$3400.00} from my account. The hacker transferred out my phone number from my carrier company, so they could receive a verification code to log in to my Bank of America Online Banking Account. I visited the BoA branch at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX, and have the case opened. 10 Days later, I called their fraud center. They say my claim case was denied. This is clearly a system vulnerability of BoA, which caused the loss of my funds.

I contacted B of A twice : XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023. Each time they sent a letter saying they could not resolve the issue. The proof, the check cashed by B of A on XX/XX/2023 is attached here. Thank you

Subissue: Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Consumer Complaint: I opened a Bank of America Unlimited Cash Rewards Signature card. The card had a XXXX XXXX introductory rate. It was disclosed that starting XX/XX/XXXX, the interest would start on the card. I specifically opened this card as I had large expenses and needed the 0 % interest rate to allow time to pay the card off. I had to make large payments to this card which put a financial strain on me because I knew that in XXXX of XXXX I would start paying interest on the card if it was not paid off. I was able to get my balance down from {$14000.00} to approximately {$6000.00}. I was still stressed as to paying this card off. I get a letter in the mail from Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX stating my 0 % interest has been extended out to XX/XX/XXXX. This notice only came a month prior to the original information of XX/XX/XXXX. Had I been given this information in a timely manner, I could have budgeted and paid this card in a way that would have not caused stress and hindered my finances. This notice should have been given when first receiving the card as the notice states " They apologize for sending my card late and it impacted my account terms ''. These terms needed to be disclosed when the late card was received, which was last year.

Consumer Complaint: Broken Dreams : The Cost of False Advertising on the American Dream Introduction : In a heartwarming quest to fulfill the American dream of homeownership, our protagonist, a non-XXXX XXXX on an XXXX XXXX, encountered a shining beacon of hope : Bank of America 's ( BoA ) Affordable Loan Solution Program. The allure of receiving a {$10000.00} down payment grant and having all closing costs covered seemed too good to be true. Little did our hopeful homebuyer know that this journey would soon become a nightmare due to the consequences of false advertising. False Hope and Broken Promises : Excitement and anticipation filled the air as our protagonist reached out to BoA 's lending specialist. The specialist, with apparent confidence, confirmed that our hero was eligible for the program with their F-1 visa status, seemingly thorough in her research. Thrilled by this news, they plunged headlong into the dream, investing time, effort, and emotions into their pursuit of a new home. Deceptive Courses of Action : To ensure their eligibility, our protagonist took no chances and inquired repeatedly, even before investing in a homebuyer 's course. Each time, the BoA specialist reassured them that they were indeed eligible, further solidifying their belief in this seemingly golden opportunity. The joy of securing a home and making cherished memories was almost within grasp, or so they thought. The Devastating Reveal : As the closing date approached and our protagonist had invested significant out-of-pocket expenses, a devastating blow was dealt. BoA suddenly denied their loan application, solely based on their immigration status. The foundation of their dreams crumbled beneath them, leaving them emotionally shattered, financially drained, and with their trust in the system shaken. Reckoning and Seeking Justice : The aftermath was filled with anguish, disappointment, and broken promises. Our hero 's mental health suffered, their finances depleted, and relationships strained. Their real estate agent, seller, friends, and family witnessed the toll this deceitful marketing campaign had taken on them. A once-thriving life was left in disarray, and the future they had envisioned seemed out of reach. The Call for Accountability : It is clear that Bank of America 's failure to train their employees about the consequences of false advertising, negligent marketing practices, and unfair product promotion led to this heartbreaking outcome. Our protagonist was misled, and the emotional and financial wreckage they endured demands accountability. Seeking Reparation : In light of the damage caused by BoA 's false advertising, our hero seeks justice and a rightful repair for the physical, emotional, social, and financial toll they endured. The request for {$95000.00} in damage repair represents the pain they endured in the pursuit of their American dream. Furthermore, they demand that BoA take proactive measures to prevent others from enduring a similar ordeal. An orientation program for employees, focusing on educating them about the intricacies of non-resident aliens and immigration, could help prevent future cases of false advertising and negligence and might avoid a future class action. Conclusion : The story of our protagonist serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of ethical marketing practices, transparency, and accountability in the financial industry. False advertising can crush dreams, leaving individuals scarred and struggling to rebuild their lives. Let this tale of broken dreams and shattered hope stand as a plea for businesses to act responsibly and honestly, safeguarding the dreams and aspirations of those who dare to chase the American dream.

Consumer Complaint: I am addressing a concern regarding the reporting of a charge off on my credit report. Your company has labeled a debt as a charge off, which signifies that it has been discharged and you have taken a tax write-off for it. However, I have noticed that this charge off is inaccurately reported as owed on my consumer report. This discrepancy exists despite the fact that your company classified it as uncollectible debt and wrote it off.

Consumer Complaint: I have attached my complaint as a signed PDF. The Bank of America is systematically taking my money and holding the money to be applied in the future and meanwhile charging me interest on amounts already paid. The Bank of America currently has charged me extra interest in excess of {$740.00}. I have two other outstanding complaints thru CFPB. One I have heard only that the Bank of America needs more time, and I have no response on the other complaint. The Bank of America has failed to respond to two letters. I have opened numerous cases without satisfactory resolution of them. I have sent electronic messages and have not received proper response. The Bank of America resolution specialist has failed to address any of my requests and has falsely accused me of not discussing my concerns.

Subissue: Can't close your account
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I contacted Bank of America to report fraudulent transactions that were charged to our account and I waited over XXXX hours on hold and nobody answered the phone- I was on hold for an indefinitely. The next day I sent an email to XXXX XXXX, Vice President of Bank of America Small Business, and he did not respond to my email. I sent two more subsequent emails on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX ( three total ) to XXXX XXXX explaining that we have fraudulent charges on our account and that our card is compromised, with new fraudulent charges hitting our account almost daily, but nobody from Bank of America was responding so we could not close our account to stop these charges from occurring. He ignored all three emails submitted. I then called him XXXX times on his office number and he did not respond to those calls either. I called the main XXXX Department phone number again on Monday XX/XX/XXXX to try and report this same issue, but nobody picked up after XXXX minutes on hold ( having been on hold already for XXXX hours on XX/XX/XXXX ). Bank of America 's non responsiveness is directly affecting our account and they are perpetuating the fraud which is plaguing our account by failing to take action - or even respond to - our fraud complaints.
