Consumer Complaint: Bank of America closed my husband and Is checking and savings accounts as well as my business checking account. This happened while my husband and I were out of the country, XX/XX/XXXX, we had no funds at all. This brought so much stress on both my husband and I. We didnt get any warning in any communication. We were told by the agent over the phone that funds will be released after XX/XX/XXXX. I called yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, and was told they still dont have a date and funds are still being validated. We already received the bank statements showing the funds and how much is left for each account. Its already more than a month and I want the funds released, its our money. If only they can pay penalty for humiliating us over the phone and doing this to us like were criminals in which were absolutely not, I would demand for them to pay. I am beyond frustrated trying to guess when theyre going to give our money back. Please, help us.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I applied for a Bank of America Business Checking Account under the following link, which is still active now : XXXX : XXXX. The terms of this deal are the same as they were then : get {$200.00} for making {$5000.00} in deposits within 30 days of opening the account and maintaining that balance for the next 60 days. The bonus would be made within 60 days from the end of the qualifying period. On XX/XX/XXXX, my account was approved. ( Day 1 ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I deposited {$5000.00} from an outside bank in the account. ( Day 29 ) I have kept the {$5000.00} in there since to get the bonus and avoid the monthly fees. I should have received the bonus by XX/XX/XXXX ( Day 150 ). I called the representatives at the bank and they were unsure of the bonus and in general not knowledgeable about the products that they offered and kept forwarding me to other people who were not helpful. I am asking the CFPB in help in getting me the {$200.00} bonus. Thank you

Issue: Closing on a mortgage
Subissue: Changes in loan terms during or after closing
Consumer Complaint: Mortgage Servicing Fraud WITH BACK DATED ASSIGNMENTS A relatively new term, but rapidly becoming standard, Mortgage Servicing Fraud refers to a variety of abusive servicing practices that may occur individually or collectively to a loan after it has closed. Mortgage servicers are usually a third-party company hired/contracted by the lender/note holder to perform the day-to-day tasks associated with collecting loan payments. Some of these practices include, but are not limited to : * Manipulating the accounting of loan to appear in default despite being current. * Refusing to accept properly tendered payments. * Charging fees for collection letters, inspections and BPOs. * Charging interest in excess of that actually owed. * Placing payments into suspense accounts without cause. Meanwhile Fabricating Assignments and Sponsoring ownership of a company in another Country These activities appear to be more commonly encountered by borrowers with equity in their property, regardless of their prime or sub-prime status. When it comes to mortgage servicing fraud, these wrongs are usually committed by third-party companies that hold neither title nor interest in the properties whose loans they service. Most commonly these days, servicers are employed by owners of XXXXXXXX XXXX Backed XXXX or XXXXXXXX XXXX. Mortgage Servicing Fraud stems from fairly boilerplate language used in the Pooling & Servicing Agreements that govern the relationship between the trust and the mortgage servicer. For instance, many Pooling & Servicing Agreements allow servicers to keep assumption fees, modification fees and basic late fees as what is known as " additional servicing compensation ''. Language such as this simply removes any incentive for a mortgage servicer to keep a borrower current in their monthly payments because to do so potentially cuts the servicer 's profit margin significantly. There are additional means for servicers to make additional profit in servicing securitized loans but this is the most basic means of profit after the relatively small monthly servicing fees that servicers contractually agree to as a rule. Even As I went on with my day, though, INITIALLY BANK OF AMERICA " BACWe were receiving reports that BAC ( BANKERS AUTOMATIC CLEARING SERVICES ) is sending out letters declaring that they are transferring loans from BAC of Bank of America, the parent company as of XXXX XXXX XXXX. name kept banging around in my head. I've learned, though on my own dealings with a now eight plus years battle against a fraudulent foreclosure initiated by then BANK OF AMERICA N.A.AS WELL AS n/k/a BOFA MERRILL LYNCH ASSET HOLDINGS INC , AND THE AGENT OF CT CORPORATION SELLING STOCKS AND BONDS that when something keeps flinging itself at the back of YOUR MIND it's usually looking for attention. Since XXXX unto this year at present XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: A charge of {$770.00} was made on XX/XX/2023 to XXXX XXXX # XXXX and posted to my Bank of America credit card on XX/XX/2023. I did not make this charge and I have never been a XXXX XXXX before in my life. I was notified of this because Bank of America contacted me regarding other fraudulent charges that were being made. I disputed this charge but was denied because they said the charge was made in the store even though I was in possession of the card. As I said, I have never been to a XXXX XXXX and I didn't make this charge. I then re-disputed the charge and was denied again.

Consumer Complaint: I have been banking with bank of america since 2015. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from someone impersonating as bank of america, I googled the phone number and it showed as a bofa number. This person had my full name, phone number, account number, email address and current address and said my account was in danger as someone had tried to open an account in my name, so in order to protect it, I had to send : - {$1300.00} through XXXX XXXX using my bofa debit card ( currently under investigation with bofa ) - {$790.00} and {$1400.00} through XXXX to : XXXX XXXX ( phone number XXXX ( total of {$2200.00} ) I was scammed for a total of {$3900.00} and Bank of America will not hold responsability, although their name and phone number was being impersonated by these scammers. My account was entirely wiped out, I had {$4.00} balance and had to pay my mortgage and utility bills, I had to borrow money to pay my own bills and so far I've only received {$3.00} reimbursement from the fraud XXXX transaction through Bank of America. All they had to say is " We are sorry, we can't do anything about it ''. I no longer feel safe banking with bofa as they are not doing anything to protect us customers.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a letter from Bank of America stating that my claim had been resolved in my favor and the amount of {$17000.00} was in my prepaid edd card account. Since it had already been over 2 yrs since I had filed the claim I no longer had the edd debit card so I went ahead and ordered a new card. Once it arrived I activated it and I went to the Bank of America ATM and withdrawled {$1000.00}. Then I proceeded to go to XXXX. I went to the pharmacy and made a purchase, during this purchase I did enter the pin in wrong 2x. The purchase went through the 3rd time. Then I went shopping at the same store immediatly after my first purchase. Once I got up to the register and swiped the card for my purchase it was declined. I called the number on the back of my card and they said they would have to verify me first. After being transfered the lady said she couldnt verify me by my phone number so she asked for my email which is the same email that they have on file and have been sending monthly statements to for over 2 yrs now. She couldnt verify me with that either. I was told that inorder to get my money that I have been waiting on for 2yrs now that I would have to go into the bank with 2 forms of ID and get verified by a bank mananger. I told them that I am XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and thety told me the only other option was to sign over a power of attorney to someone so they could go in the bank and get my account unlocked. This is not right for BofA to just lock my account when no my transactions were not fraudluent and I had verified everything from deposits made to purchases made. I need my money and I have waited long enough.
