Consumer Complaint: I received my unemployment threw Bank of Americas prepaid card which I have so many problems issues and complaints with this card and the customer service its ridiculous. Worse part is they told me that the bank accounts I tried to transfer my money To are not compatible with there transfer service which is ridiculous. Beside the massive fraud that was charged onto my card which they still have not reimbursed me for all of it although they did reimburse me for some of which they refuse to deal with me the first time I reported the fraud instead they said they closed the dispute never investigated and made me verify my account only to have to reopen the dispute. In which case they missed a large majority of the fraudulent charges and i am now. Trying to finish filing the disputes on such but of course now they are forcing me to go verify my identity at a local Bank of America. Although they lied and told me that the forms of identification I could use were incorrect and not sufficient for them to verify my identity when I went to the bank to do so. Besides that they constantly cut off access to my account due to fraud protection leaving me stranded with no access to my money on multiple occasions. On more then one instance where I was even forced to wait two days stranded without shelter food or any way to access my money until the weekend was over and the department was open. Multiple times I was cut off from access to my money when I needed it forcing me to barrow from others sometimes paying up to double what I narrowed back for very small amounts of time. That along with the extra fees and the inability to use the card on most applications to transfer any money out of the app or to another financial institution that was acceptable by there terms although that was never made clear what banks were acceptable And because of another complaint and issue I am trying to resolve with boa and them closing of my account with them over ten years ago. They refused to reconsider there choice of accepting me as a client which would of made the whole situation go away but instead Bank of America and there horrible customer service reps who will throw you away hang up or make the situation even worse for you calling them I am more then just unsatisfied. And I want to finish filling these disputes and to get the rest of my money back

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, I paid {$650.00} for an automotive repairs shop but the service and the part were not what I would like to receive so I disputed that transaction and Bank of America issued a temporary credit for my credit card. Then, I worked with the owner of the repair shop and I transferred an amount to him on XX/XX/2022 via XXXX and he promised me that he would explain the case to Bank of America. But on XX/XX/2022, the Bank of America took back the temporary credit and charged me again {$650.00}. That means I was charged twice time, one for XXXX, and one for a Credit card, I called the Bank of America and also went to the branch to explain the situation, but they didn't do anything. I went to the repair shop and the owner closed the shop and he kept my money

Consumer Complaint: Please refer my previous CFPB complaint XXXX XXXXXXXX on XXXX XX/XX/2023 I opened Bank of America Adv SafeBalance Banking checking account few days back with a promo code of {$200.00} cash back in case within 90 days I had a direct deposit of {$2000.00} or more. It end in XXXX. In response to that Bank of America stated that promo code is not applied. Well that's not the case - attaching the screen shot. I also don't know what is the minimum balance to keep in this account to avoid any sort of penalties or fees. Called Bank of America- they have a stupid robot which doesn't let me breathe also and there is no way human can be reached.

Consumer Complaint: I accidently made a payment of {$170.00} on XX/XX/2023 from closed Bank of America Credit Card XXXX instead of making it to the open card XXXX I have with them. Why I was able to make payment to closed card with XXXX balance is beyond me? Anyways on XX/XX/2023 they made 2 transfer payments of {$170.00} one leaving me with a XXXX balance and the other a {$170.00} debit balance. The {$170.00} was moved to the open card XXXX which they gave me a credit for. On XX/XX/2023 I made the payment on the {$170.00} which of course gave me a balance of XXXX. But now on XX/XX/2023 there is another payment adjustment for {$170.00} which I never made and where or how it came is beyand me? Please note this is a closed card where I can not make payments and no payments should be made. The account never should have allowed the first mistake payment and now I am left with A XXXX XXXX because of their accounting practice. I want all this resolved immediately and do not want to ever experience this again. Please note I have a Credit Score of XXXX and always pay off my cards in advance. Bank of America needs to fix this probelm and make sure it never happens again. I am a great customer for whoever has my business.

Consumer Complaint: Upon receipt of a Bank of America email ( a copy uploaded ) advising that a bill was due on XX/XX/2023 in the amount of {$940.00}, I immediately contacted Bank of America disputing the charges since 1 ) I do not live near the area where the charges were made and have never been to either establishment ; 2 ) the card has not been used for several years, which Bank of America confirmed and 3 ) the card has not left my possession and are kept in a file box in a desk drawer in my home office. As a result of that conversation, the card with the fraud was blocked and new cards were issued. Following is a copy of an email received confirming my dispute and providing a claim number : Bank of America Activity Alert You Have a New Message about Your Claim XXXX XXXX, We're letting you know that you have a new message about your claim in your Online Banking mailbox. Please go to the Message Center in Online Banking to read your message. Here are the details of your claim : Claim date : XX/XX/2023 Claim number : XXXX If you haven't done so already, you can go paperless now. It's a safe and secure way to help stay organized. We're here to help. If you have questions, contact us online or call the number on the back of your credit or debit card. XX/XX/2023 date of letter from Bank of America temporarily crediting my account for {$940.00} while the claim was being disputed. ( copy of letter uploaded ). XX/XX/2023 emailed received ( copy uploaded ) advising a payment of {$420.00} was due with a statement that is was being disputed as fraud. XX/XX/2023 I received a letter that the claim was rejected since no error was found. ( letter uploaded ). I called Bank of America again on XX/XX/2023, the case was reopened. I again stated the reasons ( aforementioned # 1-3 ) and requested a copy of the card and signature of the purchaser. Neither have been received to date. Bank of America advised that I continue to pay the minimum due or my credit score ( in the XXXX XXXX ) would be adversely affected. I also asked that Bank of America check my payment credit and payment history on all my accounts. At this time, I am being held liable for {$430.00} which I did not charge and have not used the credit card in question for several years.

The account is up-to-date with payments, which means I make my monthly payments on time. I sometimes pay more than what's required. I was denied a financial hardship or payment deferment. On Wednesday, XX/XX/2023, I called Bank of America to find out the reason for the denial. I was told that " a system '' generates the approval or denial. It appeared that Bank of America 's representative could not affirmatively give me a legitimate reason why I was denied a payment deferment. I am never late on my car payment and I have had the loan for over a year.
