Consumer Complaint: Ive been having trouble with my American Express credit card applications. The card gets immediately approved but then, according to their customer service, gets stuck in production due to a System Glitch. On XX/XX/XXXX, I applied and was immediately approved for the XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, I didnt receive the card until 6 weeks later because the application even though approved, needs to be finalized by a team member. Ive been a member of American Express since XXXX, thiss not how they, any other bank in the US, operate. When you apply for a card, your application gets approved, denied, or go pending. A card thats immediately approved does not require further processing that takes 4-6 weeks. This also happened to my XXXX XXXX card application submitted on XX/XX/XXXX and currently, my XXXX XXXX XXXX card application that was submitted on XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: ( original complaint - This account opened XX/XX/XXXX and closed XX/XX/XXXX ending balance of {$6900.00}. Amex put a lien on my home and refuses to discuss this with my attorney. We have been sent to three different law firms who were " handling '' this and have yet to speak to anyone that can rectify it. My attorney XXXX XXXX and his staff have been reaching out the AMEX attorney listed as handling this several times over the past three weeks. No response. This has caused the sale of my home to cancel and I've lost {$120000.00} in equity. ) AMEX has sent the same response twice, and we've tried to call the AMEX attorneys today. We have eight weeks of records showing our attempts to discuss this with the AMEX attorney. They have YET to respond to our calls. We will file for a jury trial in XXXX County Georgia on XX/XX/XXXX unless we hear back from them. AMEX doesn't take this seriously because they/ve not replied with anything different after all of these complaints. All information contained within our complaints here will be used as evidence in our suit.

Consumer Complaint: American Express will not dispute a charge despite me having XXXX and being sick. The charge was on XX/XX/XXXX and was for XXXX. The merchant said they were having a systems problem and would refund me later. They only refunded XXXX, which is a simple mistake. American Express is refusing to help me, thus breaking their user agreements. I have tried for months and they still, for some reason, will not dispute the XXXX difference. This is my last step before I sue.

Consumer Complaint: Had a agreement with CPA vendor that was not fulfilled. Charge was on American Express card. American Express first declined pursuing the vendor when I initially filed the dispute and provided the support information ( contract and email from vendor they would not proceed and did not fulfill the agreement ). American Express after 5 attempts finally accepted the dispute but is making me still pay for the disputed amount less the interest. Previously ( no notice of change to process was provided as of XX/XX/2021 ) dispute charges were temporarily removed from the card holders account while the issue was being investigated. This has not happened and American Express is limiting my ability to use my card due to this charge even though I have paid off this card more than 4x in 18m and have a good credit history with American Express. American Express practicing anti-consumer and anti-black practices by limiting the ability of minority consumers to retain credit and obtain credit increases and use the full capability of their cardholder features which is offered to every other consumer. I have been a customer of American Express for over 4 years and have never received a credit increase with XXXX XXXX XXXX.
