Consumer Complaint: I have been a longtime customer of Bluebird Prepaid Card owned by American Express since 2016. I have experienced problems in the past year but until then never had any issues with them. I used them as a way to take advantage of getting my paycheck early and after my paycheck was deposited, I would withdraw it and put it into my bank. Being I do not feel safe using my bank issued debit card, whenever I wanted to shop online, I would transfer the money over to my bluebird card to use it to shop. Tonight, I had done the same thing, I added funds to my account and I started using my bluebird account for XXXX so whenever I wanted to take an XXXX, I would add funds to my bluebird account. However, this time, it kept saying there was some sort of error and I kept trying to add the funds in my account. I then get a message saying my account is suspended due to violating the community guidelines. I never broke any guidelines, all I did was added funds to my card which never seemed to be an issue in the past 5 years that I had this card. Thinking this was a mistake, I called customer service and they blocked my number saying my account was suspended and to refer to my email. I check my email and they said in order to find out what happened to my account, I need to write in to them via mail. That to me is really shady, they won't answer my calls, I've been hung up on and no one is telling me how I can get my money. MY PAYCHECK gets deposited on that account that was 'suspended '!!!!!! I refuse to write into this company that I've given so many chances this past year and ended up screwing me over. I want my money, the full amount and I know how much is in there to be sent to me ASAP, I don't want to write in to get my hard earned money. This happened to me around XXXX, it is now XXXX in the morning and Bluebird has caused me nothing but anxiety not knowing how I was going to pay my bills this week or buy food for my household. have heard from other customers who experienced the same thing that they refuse to give back money and I am not going to allow that to happen to me. This company has gone downhill and is nothing but a bunch of thieves. I heard this happened to other people, I ignored it thinking it won't happen and it did. Within a day my livelihood was put on hold because of Bluebird suspending me with no explanation and has blocked my phone number.

Consumer Complaint: had multiple unauthorized charges on my account in which I was promised that I would not be responsible for unauthorized charges. I spoke with American Express today as they called me and was told that they were shutting down my accounts due to 3 returned payments in which were handled and situation explained to American Express and I was promised that my account would not be subject to closure. The returned payments ( 1 & 2 ) as recorded was because of a stop payment put in due to the unauthorized, fraudulent charges on my account as instructed to do so until their investigation was complete which never happened. ( 3 ). The third returned payment was due to a simple mis-keying of a 6 while typing in my new account number. I immediately called in and informed American Express and was assured that my accounts were NOT and WILL NOT be subject to cancellation nor closure. I received a call from XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX at XXXX XXXX ( American Express account review ) in which I was informed that all of my accounts were immediately canceled and that Im responsible for unauthorized charges. I have been misrepresented, injured and business now will suffer damages due to American Expresss misrepresentations and false promises which led me to believe that I was secure even after being a victim of identity theft. I am a single mother with a business and due to the current climate the world at large is in, I am subject to injury by American Express who without cause nor explanation closed all accounts ( personal and business ).

Consumer Complaint: To Whom it May Concern- I responded to an American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card on XX/XX/XXXX. The offer specifically promised XXXX XXXX XXXX if I spend {$3000.00} in the first the 3 months of opening the card. This XXXX reward point offer was active as far back as XX/XX/XXXX. This same offer is being advertised on the American Express website as today, XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke to XXXX from American Express today and she claims the XXXX mileage point offer doesn't exist. Even after I directed her the AMEX website, she claims the offer did not exist at the time I opened the account. I have photos of the website from XX/XX/XXXX that clearly shows the offer DID exist when I opened the account. This is clearly a bait & switch fraud being perpetrated on me by AMEX. Consumer Complaint: On XXXX 2021, I saw a Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card offer when I was booking a ticket on XXXX XXXX. The page stated " Earn XXXX bonus miles after you make {$2000.00} in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months. '' plus " {$200.00} statement credits when made purchase on XXXX. '' I have never had this card and do need to take flights pretty often. So I received this card on XXXX and completed all the requirements for the XXXX Delta miles and {$200.00} credits in 3 months. However, on XXXX the American Express customer services told me that they have decided to denied the sign up bonus with no reason. I was very happy with American Express services in the pass and suddenly felt I was cheated.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I purchased two airline tickets through XXXX XXXX XXXX US website with a combined cost totaling {$1100.00} after being enticed by an AmEx offer stating that such a purchase would result in a {$200.00} rebate. In fact, AmEx sent me an email immediately following the purchase indicating that I had used the AmEx offer. For whatever reason, AmEx claims that I either purchased the tickets over the phone or directly through XXXX XXXX. This is completely false, as I have never purchased tickets from XXXX XXXX except through the internet, no matter how their system may have coded the transaction. It is not my fault that their systems do not correctly code transaction data. I believe AmEx 's action to be deceptive, resulting in {$200.00} in financial harm to myself. After having to reach out multiple times, I was offered {$50.00} to settle the matter, which is insulting. I want other consumers to know that, not only does AmEx no longer stand for top level customer service, but AmEx is now actively deceiving customers into spending money with fulfilling their end of the bargain.

Consumer Complaint: There was fraud in my XXXX account. A purchase was made and delivered to a fraudulent address in California. I immediately contacted XXXX who said, " We can not stop or apply credit for merchandise that has already been delivered. Please dispute this charge through your credit card company and we will agree to the credit. '' Unfortunately, the product was delivered so quickly I was left without recourse. I filed a dispute with American Express who quickly denied the dispute and claim I am responsible for the charge. My first knowledge of this charge was a delivery notice to the fraudulent address. I immediately contacted both XXXX and AMEX, both of whom refused to provide credit for the fraudulent purchase.
