Consumer Complaint: Hi, I filed a complaint last year because my account was closed, by time the check arrive it had already expired. The check was for balance that was in my account when it was closed. I dont know if it was mail delays or the bank itself, I would just like a new check. I have tried for months to get one. Ive been told I would have a form sent 3 separate times, this apparent form was to fill out the information to have a new check issued to me. Each time I have waited months in-between and now feel like I'm purposely getting bad information. It has never arrived. Its been to long and I just want my money. They have kept it collecting interest while not trying to fix my problem. I am at the same address nothing has changed with my information from before.

Consumer Complaint: I didn't receive the XXXX miles for the latest three billing period, and welcome bonus miles as well, since I have reached the spending requirement two months ago. I also contacted customer service via chat, they confirmed that the regular purchases earned miles and the miles from welcome bonus was pending. I should expect to see the miles on my XXXX account by XX/XX/2022. The welcome offer : 75,000 bonus miles after {$3000.00} or more in eligible purchases are made on the Card within the first 3 months ( 92 days ) of Card Membership.

Consumer Complaint: I paid a deposit of {$450.00} to a company called XXXX XXXX for a trip on XX/XX/XXXX. The trip did not happen due to Covid 19 travel restrictions and was cancelled by XXXX XXXX around XXXX of XXXX. XXXX XXXX did not return my deposit and they did not offer an immediate refund. XXXX XXXX did say that after 1 year they would return my money to me. 1-year passed and they did not return the money. I reached out to XXXX XXXX and they instructed me to file a claim with my credit card company XXXX American Express ). American express informed me that the timeframe within which I could file a claim had passed. American Express concluded that they would not be able to reimburse me the deposit to XXXX XXXX. Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX our lender discovered AMEX had listed our old, closed account as " Charged Off '' in the amount of {$3900.00}. This prevented me from getting a mortgage. I have been corresponding with AMEX via snail mail since XX/XX/XXXX and made telephone calls only to be told that the information is correct. I mailed copies of bank statements, all payments totaling the amount listed as " Charged Off ''. AMEX has mailed me copies of statements, with the last statement showing payments of {$500.00} paid XX/XX/XXXX, {$800.00} paid XX/XX/XXXX, {$1000.00} paid XX/XX/XXXX, {$610.00} paid XX/XX/XXXX, {$1000.00} Paid XX/XX/XXXX all total {$3.00}, XXXX ; and they will still not remove the words " Charged Off ''. I have not received a 1099 for this and neither has the IRS showing it as income for me. The credit reporting agencies will NOT make any changes because AMEX continues to say I did not pay it in full, this is untrue. I have requested the documentation AMEX gave to the credit reporting agencies and have yet to receive that from AMEX. I have written 7 letters with copies of bank statements and copies of their own website showing XXXX balance when I made the final payment on XX/XX/XXXX, with copies to XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, Better Business Bureau oXXXX XXXX XXXX, TX, Texas Attorney General with no resolution for correction.

Consumer Complaint: I closed my American Express green card account ( ending in XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX. They continued approving recurring charges after that date. I had access to the closed account and so could see the new balance, and continued to pay the balance monthly. I called and asked them to stop approving new charges since the account had been closed by me, and I called the merchant to tell them to suspend recurring charges. Instead, the merchant continued submitting charges, and American Express continued to approve them, even though the account was cancelled. In XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a new green card ( ending in XXXX ) and at that point could no longer access the old account ( XXXX ) to view the balance or make payments. I called American Express to verify there wasn't any account with a past due balance, including the account ending in XXXX, and they informed me all accounts were current. They reported the account ending in XXXX as delinquent in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, as a result of charges submitted months after I closed the account and they approved " on my behalf '', despite my cancellation of the account and instructions not to approve any new charges. I believe they do this because it is in their financial interest to do so, even though it harmed my credit score badly. I've been a card member of American Express since XXXX. I've written to their customer service and credit bureau unit XXXX times over the past 12 months and have filed XXXX formal complaints with them. I don't believe they should be able to legally approve charges on behalf of customers on closed accounts and then bill those customers for late fees and report the accounts as delinquent, when the customers expressly instructed them to cancel accounts and stop approving charges. They made money in this situation, and my credit score decreased significantly. It's the only delinquent report in my credit history in my lifetime.

I called them and no one can explain why they close my account I even asked to speak to the manager and they cant seem to find a reason for closing my account. Everything was up-to-date with my card I was very responsible with my card. I didnt get an email or email regarding why they close my account. All they can tell me is that they Close my account XX/XX/XXXX and that there is no records of cancellation. I asked for corporate number they refuse to give me that information. Consumer Complaint: American Express, through its Collection Agent, XXXX XXXX claimed to have agreed to a resolution of a disputed debt. When asked for written confirmation of the arrangement, XXXX initially claimed a letter memorializing the arrangement was mailed. One week later the promised letter never arrived. XXXX refused to email or fax confirmation of this arrangement and then advised that unless a payment was made ( despite still refusing to confirm anything in writing ) American Express would " recall '' their file. Every effort was made to assist XXXX in confirming the arrangement in writing. An email initiated to XXXX memorializing the terms was not responded to. XXXX 's refusal to confirm terms of the arrangement are highly problematic.
