Consumer Complaint: I was involved in a fraudulent gift card scheme. I obtained an email from what I thought was paypal indicating fraudulent activity on my account. I logged into my paypal acount and noticed there were 4 suspicious transactions. I then contacted the number on my email as I had falsely assumed that paypal had reached out to me. I was then connect with the scammer who then discussed my suspicious transactions and transferred me to who I thought was chase fraud. This scammer represented that my account was compromised and I was transferred to who I thought was a federal agent. They then said to secure my funds as my account was compromised I purchased prepaid amex and visa credit cards. I then provided these numbers back to the scammers on the phone. Once I realized what was happening the money approximately {$15000.00} had been removed from my accounts.

Consumer Complaint: I owed a credit card debt to American Express for about {$6000.00}. After suing me in XXXX, I hired a lawyer to help me dismiss the case and agree to a settlement. We came to an agreement in XXXX of XXXX. As part of this agreement, American Express should have reported to the credit bureaus that this case was closed and that we had reached a settlement, as I'm rebuilding my credit. I have been paying as agreed and haven't missed a payment. My lawyer has reached out to American Express and received no response. They suggested that I file this complaint.

Consumer Complaint: We ordered AMEX cards like we always do for employees and incentives straight from the website. Somehow the entire balance gets used before the user even uses it. When we call AMEX they don't care but gave a report of uses. All bXXXX XXXX and other charges exactly totaling the card amount in California we didn't do. So, someone inside XXXX or AMEX is hacking this info before card are sent out. Here are other people having issues recently and can't believe this is not a bigger issue for others. Consumer Complaint: In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act the following Accounts, have violated my rights. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. States I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : It also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 U.S.C 1681 ( a ) ( 5 ) Section States : no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. 15 U.S.C. 1681-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. I've been a victim of identity theft and never applied for any of these accounts : American Express XXXX XX/XX/2018 I have a letter from American Express stating the account was opened fraudulently I also a police report and a FTC REPORT. Please remove the American Express account from my XXXX and XXXX reports.

Consumer Complaint: upon receiving message that my application for credit was supposed declined. I realized that I had not applied for credit for maths now. So I reach out to the company a I was told that they have no record of me aplyibg for credit. but next day there it was on my report. So I called the bureaux ( obviously pointlessly ) since the bureaus are compliant with the scammers out there and there's no checks and balances clearly.. anyways. the bureaus shrugged off and told me to complain to FCBP so here I am now I also went to the same company west site and simulated a new credit application... but I didn't use my name. I used a same name but scramble the word XXXX and change the last name. and as social security I literally used XXXX that how much of a joke that was. guess wha ... same thing I got a hit as hard inquiry win my report with indicates. all the disputes on my report are wrong and I demand them to be removed and deleted completely this is absurd and should not happen .. Im recording phone calls emails a and letters.. I'll will litigate in court and believe me .... will be stressful for all parties involved .... please and thanks ....

Consumer Complaint: I opened a new American Express XXXX XXXX XXXX card and went through steps to set up automatic payment after the account was opened. After the initial account opening I was unable to access the payment screens of American express website. I assumed the autopsy would make they payment but apparently there were technical issues and the payment never posted. I chatted with American Express and they acknowledged the technical issues and they agreed to refund the late fee but would only refund {$40.00} of the interest assessed. This is not a fair solution, had the website worked, I would accept the finance charge. But it did not and Amex knew it. Therefore I should not be charged interest if I can not make a payment.

Consumer Complaint: I filled an insurance claim for two lost/stolen items through my XXXX XXXX Credit card with Amex on or around XX/XX/2022. Claim number is XXXX. I provided all of the appropriate documents and Amex denied the claim for reasons unknown to me. The dates of the purchase and the circumstances were totally in-line with the purchase protection insurance. In XX/XX/2022 I filed the same claim again ( XXXX ). And went through the process of providing the same documents and additional written explanation. I received a notice in the mail asking me to call the insurance department as they had questions. I did ; after answering the questions, they submitted the claim and told me I should hear back very soon. After a few more weeks with no update, I called the same number and the person advised that I was required to call in and answer questions. I told them I already did that ; they had no record so we repeated the process. I provided all required documents and answered their questions over the phone. In XX/XX/2022, I received a notice that the claim was closed because I did not provide information that they requested. This made no sense. It seems like a scam.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted to make a payment via XXXX using American Express ' Send & Split feature. I had already successfully added a balance of {$870.00} to my Send Account ( which is required before sending funds ), but when I tried to complete the payment via XXXX, I received an error message on the XXXX app to the effect of " Something went wrong, we could not complete your payment. '' However, when I logged into my American Express account, and viewed the Send & Split balance, it showcased a completed transaction of {$870.00} to the XXXX recipient. After confusion, I reviewed XXXX again and there was no record of the payment going through. So Amex reflected the transaction as completed, but XXXX did not receive it. I chatted with XXXX customer service ( I have a transcript as well ) and they informed me that since the payment did not go through I would have to reach out to the bank issuer ( Amex ) to resolve it. I opened a dispute with Amex over it and they at first did not want to dispute it because to them, the transaction was " completed. '' I told them it was not, and sent the transcript with the XXXX agent proving this. They promised to get me a decision in 7-10 days, but have not resolved it or given me any updates. I followed up with Amex, and they continue to tell me they're " working on it. '' This is a significant amount of money that I trusted Amex to send on my behalf. And, since I still owed that money to the recipient, I had to send another {$870.00} via a different service to them ( XXXX, which did work - thankfully ). I am hoping that you can help me get this resolved, since it was not my fault and was due to a glitch on Amex or XXXX.
