Consumer Complaint: I have a few charges from XXXX to my American Express credit card and i was unauthorized it on XX/XX/XXXX right immediately to Amexrican express company with the amount is {$2700.00} {$2700.00} {$100.00} $ XXXXThey did done investigation and credit me back but i told them there are still have another {$2700.00} it was double charged with it the same amount ( {$2700.00} ) and ordered id.I have confirmed do you have to pay for it and the agent clearly answers me that was a pending adjustment and i am fine now don't worry about it.So i was thought it was done and wasn't pay attention on it.However I was checking my last year stament on XX/XX/XXXX and find out there was and extra charge still there and confirmed by Amexrixan express customer support representative the amout {$2700.00} is outstanding balance.

Consumer Complaint: Even if we make a payment for the entire balance once per month, we get charged a late fee. In regards to the last billing period, the customer service representative stated that a payment must be made between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX in order to avoid a late fee. I made the payment on XX/XX/XXXX online and paid all charges in full. I made two more purchases on XX/XX/XXXX. Amex states that only payment made after the billing period is over count towards avoiding a late fee. If you make payments that would enable you to pay the charges for that billing period before the end of the billing period, it does not count. If I want to pay early, I have to pay by check. Otherwise, the payment must be made after the close of the billing period. Specifically, they stated, I don't mean to relay the information poorly. What we need to look at is the due date. Due date for this is XX/XX/XXXX. For the payment to be counted for this due date, the payment should have been made from XXXX XXXX XXXX. The payment made on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. The payment made is outside this timeframe. Since it is outside this timeframe, a late payment fee is generated.

Consumer Complaint: From the day I opened my American Express, Delta sky Miles card. I had text message reminders set up to pay my bill on time. After looking over one of my statements, I realized that I had been getting text message reminder sent to me two days after my due date and being charged late fees and interest because of this American Express purposely sent me text reminders after the due date for my payment and then charged me accordingly I reached out to them and they refused to do anything about it. I offered to send them screenshots and they said that they were not able to get screenshots this is the second account in which I have been lied to and the result has been me unable to continue to pay for my credit card.

Consumer Complaint: Prior to opening an American Express account, I was informed as the spouse of an active-duty military member ( my husband has been active reserve XXXX XXXX for over 13 years ), we would be eligible to have the MLA ( Military Lending Act ) added to both of our accounts. We do NOT qualify for SCRA, as the account with AMEX would be opened after the beginning service date. We DO qualify for the MLA, however. I have been fighting with American Express since my account opening to have the MLA added to my account. Every time, they take my information and then a few weeks later I get a letter stating we are not eligible. I have uploaded my husband 's military documents multiple times, copies of our marriage certificate proving I am his spouse, and letters explaining to AMEX what we are and are not eligible for. Despite this, I have now been denied XXXX times. Each time, the rep tells me they will " fix '' the issue and take all of the same information. They refuse to give me to a supervisor or have someone correct the information immediately. I am at a loss as to what to do. We are indeed eligible for this, and they have applied it to my husband 's account, but refuse to do so on mine. Consumer Complaint: I started a small business ( LLC ) in XXXX. At that time, I applied and was approved for an American Express Gold Business Card, with limited spending ( {$2000.00} ). When I applied, there was no verification requested besides having an EIN and a personal credit check. The American Express Gold Card has a ( {$250.00} ) annual fee. I have established a good credit relationship in the XXXX years of membership. I learned American Express offers other cards without an annual fee with XXXX percent interest for a period of time. I decided to apply for the American Express Business Blue Credit Card. I applied in XX/XX/XXXX and was denied claiming debt-to-ratio was too high. At that time I was in process of paying down my personal credit obligations and decided to reapply when the changes were reported to the credit bureaus. XX/XX/XXXX, I applied again for the American Express Blue Business Credit Card ( XXXX ) Reference # XXXX USD. This time, American Express requested that I submit bank statements. This was quite alarming as I had already established a relationship on the business and personal side. I am a holder of a XXXX XXXX American Express Credit Card that I have had for many years. I called and spoke with the credit department and was told American Express Business Card needs to look at my bank accounts to determine how much credit they could extend. This is the first ever a bank has requested bank statements from me for requesting a credit card. They did not request any bank statements when they granted me the Gold Credit Card. I have already established a credit-worthy relationship with them for many years both on the personal and business side. I did not request a business line of credit, if so then I could understand the request, but they should not be requesting bank statements from certain customers. These actions are clearly discriminatory and should not be allowed. I refuse to provide any bank with statements when requesting a Business Credit Card. American Express is utilizing discriminatory practices to deny Business Credit Cards to small minority business owners.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 around XXXX XXXX i loaded my card like I do most of the time cause I dont like to carry cash so I reloaded money onto my American Express serve account at the same place I always load at I use this same card for my direct deposit through my employer well around XXXX on XX/XX/23 I received a email stating my account has been temporarily locked so I call the number on the email to see why my account had been locked I havent used it out of the ordinary places I normally do so unpin me speaking with a representative who stated she was with account protection sevices after she asked for my card number name and Date of birth email address and last XXXX digits of my socia to verify I was who I said I was she advised me my account had Been lock due to some kinda discrepancy I asked her well what is it she advised me if I needed further information I need to write a letter and that my account is currently under investigation and there are no further updates and that it could take up to 1-2 business days for the investigation to be completed but would not give me no further details on my account and to call Monday or Tuesday if I would like to check the status of the my account so I did just that Monday XXXX Tuesday XX/XX/23 after calling multiple times getting hung up on asking about my account being locked cause this is the same account I use for my direct deposit from my employer they advise me that there was still no update and that the investigation is handled by the back office and they do not have a direct number and that the only response via email!!!!! Called again XX/XX/23 as well XX/XX/23 to were I spoke with a representative named XXXX but she sounded foreign with a heavy accent even during the verification process she asked me for my CVV 3 digit code on the back of my card now everyone know that for American Express the CVV code are on the front of the card and its 4 digits which I didnt disclose so after going back and forth over why is this information needed she hung up I called back again and asked for a refund for the balance in my account first she advised that I wouldnt be able because my account is locked and its still under investigation so after requesting t speak to a supervisor/manager they advised me that they would honor it so I said how if my account is locked why not just close the account or u couldve to issued me a new card so not even 20 mins later I get 3 emails 1 stating my address has been updated second email was about a transaction with my balance from my reserve account to my main account and the 3rd email was about them locking my account again I called multiple times inquiring about the transactions I was being emailed about no one knows anything they stated they will refund me my money in 7-20 business days Im like u mean 7-10 Ive never heard of that time frame so at this point Im already aggravated thinking the worst so I XXXX American Express serve reviews and was I in for a surprise looks like theyve been doing this for quite some time locking peoples accounts and magically there money disappeared please help me fight these crocks they took {$3800.00} from me and my kids
