Consumer Complaint: I was in my vacations from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and on XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from American Express that the were reviewing my credit limit to reduce it. I was told to pay an amount over XXXX dollars before XX/XX/XXXX. I was in the XXXX during my vacations and I had limited access to internet and no access to calls. I read the email and immediately I contact ext customer service through the app and they told me that they cant do anything for me unless I contact the department via telephone. I tried to download XXXX to call them but I was not able. I had no access to calls until XX/XX/XXXX. And when I checked my credit limit was decreased. I never missed a payment. I never went over limit. And I want my old credit limit again.

Consumer Complaint: Well, I have been struggling with XXXX since XXXX which includes XXXX. All of this was to straing for my XXXX culminating with my having XXXX surgery XXXX XXXX XXXX As part of XXXX relief I was given amnesty for my mortgage, but American Express lowered my credit on my Gold Card from no limit to a $ XXXX credit limit and stopped charging me the {$250.00} annual fee for the Amex Gold Card. Last month XX/XX/XXXX American Express placed a {$250.00} annual fee back on my Gold card but refuses to return the card to a unlimited status. This means I am charged {$250.00} for a {$2000.00}. Credit limited card, this is more than 10 % of the credit limit, eventhough I have never had an issue making my Amex payment prior to the credit limit placed on a unlimited credit card

Consumer Complaint: American Express opened the High Yield Savings account and Roth IRA accounts immediately. I connected my other personal bank accounts. I made a deposit via a wire transfer. It was successful. I made a deposit via a check from XXXX XXXX. It was successful. The next day, the check was returned. I received no notification as to why. I then tried to make further deposits to my savings account and Roth. Nothing worked. There was no explanation why. The entire time, American Express sent emails asking me to make deposits. At no point did I receive any information of fraud. Yesterday, I called. It has been 3 weeks with no activity or explanation. I got through security and was transferred to the Fraud Team. Someone named XXXX said he would not tell me what was wrong with my account and that I needed to complete an Affidavit of Identity to gain access to my account. I explained that I would rather close the account. I asked them to return all funds to the original accounts and to reimburse me for the fee to issue a new check. He refused. I asked for proof that I was informed about the fraud on the XXXX of XXXX. He told me that he would send me the email. It has been over 24 hours and I still have not received the email. He also said that American Express called and left voicemail messages. He would not say the date. He lied. I spoke to another supervisor who told me I could email XXXX. That email was returned. She lied, too. I was told the only way to communicate in writing was to send a fax. I have sent over 5 faxes with my name and account number over the past two days. Not a single fax has been connected to my account. Apparently, a person decides which faxes will be actioned. They don't use XXXX. I was told a supervisor within Banking Operations would call me today but that has not happened.

Consumer Complaint: I have unauthorized transactions in my account and I have tried to get the problem resolved with the company and they have been giving me a run-around about fixing the situation by avoiding my mail and giving me dead-end conversations on the phone. I have documents supporting this claim, they put the wrong email in from the beginning. Thats why I couldnt see what was going on in my account, and thats why I think something fraudulent is going on.

Consumer Complaint: I was solicited in the XXXX Airport to sign up for an American Express Delta Sky Milescard. I was not informed that the card carried an annual fee of XXXX for use of the card. I received the car a couple of weeks later. I called to activate the card and asked the phone attendant whether this card carried an annual fee for use of the card and its privileges. I was told by the attendant that she did not know if there was an annual fee and went on to say that if I would be assessed a fee that the company would nullify the fee and then I could cancel. I went ahead and activated the card. I did not use the card for any purchases. Yesterday I received the monthly statement from the credit card company which indicated a XXXX fee on the statement for use of the card and benefits. I called the number on the back of the card ans asked to cancel the card. The card was cancelled by the supervisor who said she would have to " launch an investigation '' into whether or not I would be liable for the fee irregardless. She would not confirm whether the fee would be reversed. I asked that she call me today to verify that the card was in fact cancelled and the fee reversed and as of now I have not heard from the company 's representative. I hope you can contact the company to please put an end to this misunderstanding.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/23 my accounts were closed following a returned payment on one of my 4 American Express cards. That day, XXXX bank could verify, I had the money in the account to cover the transaction. I called immediately, and was told to bring all of my accounts current and I would have no issue getting my cards reinstated. I then, paid off 2/4 cards. Significantly reduced the balance on the other 2. I had to call to do so because I was unable to do so online. I called to have my cards reinstated and they acted like they had no idea what I meant. I finally got transferred to someone who told me to just apply for new cards. Amex has multiple programs such as XXXX, etc. nobody will tell me why I was not offered anything. I have been a good customer. I started a new business and had some payments not go through because of new bank accounts etc ( you can see I paid for years through one account, and now am from another ). I just want some or all of my Amex back. I have never left Amex hanging.
