Consumer Complaint: More than 7 years ago I submitted police complaint documents and police report showing as a victim of identity theft to the American Express company, and they continued to charge me, they filed a lawsuit with the court and never validated the information submitted on that occasion. Now in this past month they froze my bank account for an amount of {$4200.00} money that I have in the bank of my children who give them to me monthly to collect their money to buy their house. This is something unfair and an outrage against people who are victims of fraud and open accounts in our name and then banks issue cards to anyone without verifying their identity, I need your help urgently because this bank is violating my rights after more than 7 years without knowing about them appear now to freeze the money that is in the bank of my children who are also with me in the account Bank. Unfortunately I do not have the documents I sent you back then since so many years have passed since it has been so many years of disputes over identity theft which opened not only that account, but about 4 more thankfully verified everything that was indeed identity theft except American Express. Never in my life had account with that bank, please help me I am very desperate with this situation even the number of DOCKET is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX WITH A MARSHAL called XXXX XXXX, with phone XXXX and email : XXXX I have difficulty communicating because I do not speak XXXX and I currently use XXXX translate to write to you to intercede with this harassment of the bank that does not belong to me.

Consumer Complaint: I opened the American Express Gold Delta credit card on XX/XX/2023. I was under the impression that I would receive the {$300.00} credit and bonus miles when I applied and got approved for said credit card. However, in XXXX I still hadnt received the offer. I called in XXXX and was told I would be updated on why the offer hasnt been applied yet. Then XXXX comes along and no response. I call American Express XXXX on XX/XX/2023 and was told I didnt receive the bonus offer, the bonus offer was declined. You could understand my frustration when I was told about this fraudulent act and lack of transparency. Why wasnt this told to me when I called the first time? Why wasnt I given the option to not continue the application when I first applied? I was transferred to a manger who said I was told I wouldnt get the offer during my application, however he wasnt there when I applied for the card. He claimed there was nothing he could due and its based on my history. He didnt have any concrete reason based on my history. Ive never had a late payment and Ive closed ONE card! I was there when I opened the card, and there was no pop-up about me not getting the offer otherwise I wouldnt have gotten the card or paid for a flight that wasnt worth the original price. As someone who has other American Express cards I was disgusted at how they treated their customer, a loyal one. Id also like to add about the manager claiming I got a pop up about this before the application went through, not only was he not there ( and was very dismissive, as if he was ) but others have mentioned they didnt get a pop-up as well ( Ill include it in my photo proof ). Im disappointed and would like for American Express to do a better job with being honest with their customers. Not only that but their communication skills were quite poor as I was told I would receive an update after I called the first time, only for me to have to call again because of the lack of an update.

Consumer Complaint: I have an XXXX American express card previously setup on autopay ( full balance ). I decided to clear my balance manually on XX/XX/23 since I did not plan on using the card anytime soon. 3 days later I have a payment request on my checking account and fees for non payment. I stopped the autopay the same day but had another payment request the next day. I decided to call their customer service and been told that per terms and conditions the system will initiate the payment request up to 3 times even if the autopay is off and there is no balance on the account. The solution they offered me is to authorize the payment just so they can send me a check back which is not in my best interest especially because I do not owe any balance on this account.

Consumer Complaint: I had my existing Account without a true issue for years, recently I needed a new card issued. I asked for the card in XXXX, card was damaged/lost I asked for a replacement card XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I have been promised each month the card will be sent. I can not unlock my account without the vvc code on the missing card and I have been charged for late payments when my card company has failed to send the card over the last several months. I have no way of actually tracking the day to day usage as I have no way to access the account without information on a card that I do not have. In a conversation with XXXX, a customer rep, she informed me that there were NO reissues of cards sent out since XXXX. I asked for a supervisor XXXX took the call I explained my frustration for the lack of the receipt of a new card. She said they have reissued the card but she saw no requests being filed for a card in XXXX, XXXX and in XXXX the rep *ID # XXXX never placed a request into the system for my replacement card. They did however, send me a letter stating the account was flagged to be closed for fraud, that never happened and the card also NEVER came. I have a small XXXX chargeable credit limit but the concern is IF they can not manager to reissue a card, one of the simplest of acts, my concerns are WHO are these people handling my account overseas? How secure is the company that has my information and If I did just cancel the card would i be effecting my credit adversely.

Consumer Complaint: Contacted amx to change my address due a house fire and their international team failed to properly changing my Address resulting in a closed account. I couldnt log or make a payment without a physical card and costumer service keep changing the wrong address. This account was paid off on full and already settle down as on XXXX. Whatsoever I received the documents and I see the late fees are not waived based on lender error as promised. I will kindly ask to be rectified and so does my credit report or legal action will be taken against American Express. This is a formal bill dispute and should be address as such.
