Consumer Complaint: American Express sent my card to an old address, therefore it was returned to them. Around the same time, I had changed bank accounts and forgot to switch over funds to the bank account before the payment was pulled. The payment was attempted twice, then returned. I then got a notification that the account was closed. And despite my excellent payment history, and explanation to multiple customer service agents, they still refused to reactivate my account due to my FICO score, which should not have even been pulled again in the first place since I had already been approved, and had the card for a year.

Consumer Complaint: American Express charged me {$260.00} in interest on a {$4700.00} that was paid in full ONE day after the due date. I was late on payment because I had upgraded to a new card, and American Express did not sync up the due date with my existing card. Further, I contacted American Express on the date I missed my payment, and they agreed to waive charges and interest. The billing cycle was abnormally long given the opening of the opening of the new card.

I also asked them to include a personal statement if they were unable to delete the accounts, which they neglected to do. Then again on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, there is NO DATA. That is 25 months of incomplete information on my credit report. Why is there no data for these months on the payment history? Fill in all of the data correctly or delete the entire account. Why is the Date of Last Activity missing? Fill in all of the data or delete the entire account. Why is the Date Closed missing? Fill in all of the data or delete the entire account. How do you explain all of this missing and inaccurate information? Fill in all of the data or delete the entire account. Consumer Complaint: On my XXXX credit report i have 2 hard inquiries on XX/XX/2023 and XX/XX/2023 from American Express/AMEX . I also have 5 soft inquiries from American Express/AMEX for the same days. On XX/XX/2023 i have a hard inquiry from XXXX XXXX along with 1 soft inquiry on the same day. I also have 1 hard inquire from XXXX XXXX XXXX and 2 soft inquiries for the same day of XX/XX/2023. All these are duplicates and are not accurate. These companies ran my credit multiple times without my permission resulting in multiple inquiries on my account. These applications were for pre approvals which they assured me would be a soft inquire and not a hard one. However, weeks later, the inquires say they're hard. This is not accurate representation of my account and i want the hard inquiries removed because these were suppose to be soft inquiries, hence why we have so many soft inquiries from the same companies on the same dates. I believe this was a mistake on their part and id appreciate it if they removed the duplicates.

Consumer Complaint: I enrolled and charged XXXX subscription serves to my American Express Blue Cash Card in XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. After using the services for a few weeks, I canceled all of them so they did not renew. After the merchants continued to charge me for the subscription I disputed the charges with American Express. The first charge was from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$32.00}. The second charge was from XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$21.00}. The third charge was from XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX for the amount of {$19.00}. All XXXX disputes were resolved and closed in my favor because " The recurring transaction has been canceled ''. American Express also enrolled my in merchant block which I was told would prevent the merchants from charging this card again. Over the past XXXX months I have been charged by the merchants above many times for varying amounts. On XX/XX/XXXX I recalled out to American Express to inquire why they allowed my account to be charged for a canceled subscription that had merchant block. The agent was oblivious to the issue and said that they can only dispute charges in the last XXXX days. I requested to have the amount closed, which the agent avoided. They said they can issue me a new card with different numbers. I agreed to the new card but one was never sent. The agent also did the merchant block again and was going to escalate the issue regarding the recurring charges. I followed up and there was no record of the escalation. I have lost thousands of dollars as a results of American Express failure to protect their customers.
