Consumer Complaint: I bank with Ally ( an online bank ). I made a {$500.00} deposit on XX/XX/XXXX. The check was written from a XXXX XXXX account. It was an electronic deposit. I have made many over the course of 3 years. The process has always been a portion of the funds are available the next day, the balance in 2 days. For this deposit, I was told by Ally that they had " confidential information that indicates the check may not be paid. '' I have never deposited a check that wasn't paid. I want to know what confidential information they have. The funds from the XXXX XXXX account were withdrawn on XX/XX/XXXX. The hold on my checking account is until XX/XX/XXXX. This does not make sense to me and I feel targeted.

Consumer Complaint: My vehicle was stolen around a year ago and the auto loan was paid for by my insurance company. I was given a final settlement amount, which i paid in full, and then was told that this account is closed and complete. I later noticed that this account was destroying my credit score as the account was listed with 2 charged off payments in the months following the theft ( XX/XX/XXXX./XX/XX/XXXX. 2020 ). I contacted the loan company many times ( 20-30 times by phone ) and was transferred, hung up on, and many of the people I talked to were confused by my complaint. Finally, I reached someone who understood and would look into it. They later found out that there was a mistake on their end and they told me they'd fix the issue and send an updated report to the credit bureaus to fix my credit score. They also sent me documentation to show that the account should be closed in good standing ( no charged off payments ). This was months ago and my credit report has still not been updated/fixed even after multiple disputes with the credit bureaus and follow ups with the loan company. This has caused me to not be able to purchase another vehicle and have to push off buying my first house this year.

I was not give any warning such as certified mail or phone call stating that the car payment was overdue because I received a new debit card. My former debit card had false charges. The company, Ally, never sent correspondence or it was sent to the wrong address, In addition I offered to pay {$2000.00} dollars out of the {$2000.00} that was owed and they said that was unacceptable that the full amount had to be paid. I lost my job due to COVID and have been diligently looking for employment.
