Subissue: Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Consumer Complaint: I applied for a Ally credit card XX/XX/2022 that advertised 12 months 0 % interest. I got an email saying I was approved but there were a delay in the cards being sent out. It's now XX/XX/XXXX over 5 weeks later and still no card. I called ally and they said there is a chip issue with no know fixed date. I asked about the interest free offer of 12 months and I was told that it starts the moment you are approved and that ally isn't going to adjust the offer just because I didn't receive my credit card. This is false advertisement and marketing. I didn't receive the credit card I applied for and they rany credit twice plus they aren't fowlling their advertisement of 0 % apr for 12months. I read reviews on one of their XXXX advertisements in the comments section and they have done this to thousands of customers. We are all waiting for a credit card that we were approved for.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to have someone look into the high interest rate car loan I was placed in with Ally Financial in XXXX. The rate I was placed in is 20.44 % over a 7 year pymt period. The original loan bal was XXXX. The current bal is now XXXX. Since XXXX I have paid a total of XXXX There records indicate that XXXX, XXXX has been paid to interest and only XXXX has been applied to the principal. There are 34 payments remaining that total XXXX additional dollars. This high interest loan that I was placed in is in no way the way you properly conduct business in a fair and decent undiscriminatory way. I believe I was placed in this loan wrongfully. The loan exceeds the life of the vehicle. The vehicles transmission has gone out leaving the current vehicles value only at an estimated XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I reached out to the lender and was transferred to 3 different departments only to be told there is nothing they can do. Each department said they did not have access to see the total amount of int I have paid. The departments were customer service XXXX, collections XXXX ( XXXX ), and work out team XXXX ( XXXX ). I believe the lender and the dealership did not hold good moral intention when they placed me in this loan. I believe my rights have been deliberately violated.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Fees charged for closing account
Consumer Complaint: I opened an Ally CD account on XX/XX/2023 with $ XXXX funds. The day after, I realized I opened a wrong CD type : I wanted to open non penalty CD because my last experience with Ally non penalty CD was great, but I actually opened a fixed XXXX term CD. At that time, the $ XXXX funds were not deposited yet and the CD has {$0.00} balance, so I contacted Ally customer service and they are willing to close the account for me. However after waiting for a week, I noticed the account is still not closed and the funds were also deposited into it. I contacted Ally again and this time they said I'll be charged {$200.00} for closing because I have $ XXXX in it, that's is estimated 2 month interests. I was shocked and feel being tricked. They claimed the account was closed but actually waited until funds being deposited, then told me to pay penalty. That's a terrible idea of earning money. I didn't have choices, so had to close and pay the penalty as they wish.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with a reference number XXXX about a debt on a vehicle through Ally and XXXX. I do not have the exact number, but a little over {$4000.00}. They had my name, last XXXX of social, my phone, my parent 's phone, my brother 's phone and said they were sending out a summons to a judge for decision in XXXX days. I responded to go ahead because the vehicle in question is not my vehicle, but another family member 's who has the vehicle paid off and title, I have never opened an account with XXXX or Ally, however a family member did and the account was paid off. However, they insisted that the loan and " debt '' was under my name and social which is incorrect. They said they would continue with litigation and the summons sent out. The facts are, my social was never used for the purchase of the car, though they had the last XXXX, and I do not in fact own the car. All vehicles under my name and social are likewise paid off and titles in hand.
