Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: I was in an accident in which my auto insurance sent my car to the shop to get repaired and then refused to pay the full amount of the repairs. It turned into a legal fight for my car and the repair shop held my car on a mechanics lean. My car was at the repair shop from XXXX to XXXX. I called Ally multiple times to arrange something with them as Im a single mom who had no vehicle which ultimately caused me to be let go from work. I also was not even in possession of the vehicle and they refused to make any accommodations. I have tried several times to get ahold of them and have clear communication but they never answer the phones and every call contradicts the last.

Consumer Complaint: Yesterday XX/XX/2023 both my wife and I received phone calls on our cell phones from XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX per XXXX search ). The calls seemed to be a skip tracing attempt regarding a neighbor of ours ( XXXX XXXX ) as they used their name in the call. Before we could tell them to no longer call us on this they ended the call. The calls from them came back to back at each of our phones around XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have sent an email to the XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding this as FYI but I felt that the government should also beware of their contact with us. We met XXXX XXXX once when his family moved in but we don't know them other than that! We're requesting contact be made with them regarding this possible illegal collection actions. - Thanks.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: Withdrawal of {$350.00} from my checking account on XX/XX/2022 from a dispute for a fraudulent transaction on XX/XX/2022 from a company caught in a scam. Services were purchased that were NEVER received. The bank, instead of correcting the issue and crediting the funds back to my account, are aiding in the scam and approving of the fraudulent activity for which their customers fall victim due to NO FAULT of their own. If banks are not for the customers, it's clear to see that Ally is not at all what their name says for their clients. If this were a purchase on XXXX or from XXXX XXXX for an actual product that needed to be assembled ( with both companies partnering with individual contractors to assist their customers with assembling the product ), and the product was delivered with the contractors never showing up to assemble the product, the funds would have been refunded. XXXX or XXXX XXXX receive their payment for the product, and the contractor is also paid to schedule and come out to assemble the product. However, if the contractor does not show up and provide the services paid for, the funds should be refunded/the transaction reversed because no services were received after being paid for. Of course the transaction was authorized because the customer was paying for a service that was to be rendered ( which it never was ). In a day and age of social media ruining companies profiles and customer retention ( especially for customers who are of XXXX decent ). Services paid for that are not received automatically void out a transaction as being approved/authorized and the funds are to be refunded back to the customer ( regardless if the transaction is a credit card payment OR a debit card/checking account transaction ).
