Consumer Complaint: I entered XXXX program with federal loans upon graduation in XXXX. I was very actively engaged and diligent in tracking paperwork, verification forms and payments on a quarterly basis to ensure I was making qualified payments. In XXXX, I was preparing to transfer to a new company. When searching online to confirm the new company was a qualified organization to continue XXXX for the full 10 years, the website only identified certain locations within my healthcare system as eligible. When I called my Fed Loan Servicer at the time, I was told that my organization was not eligible for XXXX and I could no longer participate. As such, I reluctantly transferred my loans to a private organization to take advantage of far better interest rates, as the program at that time seemed futile and I was expressly told I was no longer eligible. Now, in all recent news, I have renewed my attention toward this problem and discovered that I have, in fact, been working at a participating organization this entire time -- -despite misinformation from Fed Loan Servicing XXXX This should have been on a recorded call and I am hoping this can be tracked down to prove that I was misled into refinancing away from federal student loans. I want my loans reverted to federal loans so that I can complete my PSLF obligation in 2 years, or at least receive a prorated reimbursement for the years that I committed successfully before Fed Loan Servicing ruined my entire career track through misinformation.

Consumer Complaint: I have created many complaints on behalf of AES for not allowing me to put me in a payment plan where my payment goes to my principal is a respectful way. I pay {$270.00} a month and cents only goes to my principal. If you see my payment history, it hardly touches my principal. THIS IS WHY WE NEED REFORM AND NOT A GOVERNMENT BAILOUT! - see payment history attached

Consumer Complaint: I contacted Fed Loan Servicing and had spoken with a supervisor today. The supervisor was very helpful. And she also gave me detailed info about communication attempts for an income Affidavit sent. I both mailed and faxed over proof of income. I also sent over assistance proof for supplemental food payments, housing assistance, and energy Bill assistance via mail and fax. I called after I noticed that Fed Loan Servicing was reporting XXXX behind when I never committed to a payment due to employment not being gainful due to failed attempts to contacting me. The email and number on file were not active and/or able to be accessed. I appreciate the clarification of information from the supervisor on todays call, I was just taken aback when she notified me of a letter I never received communicating that I will have to pay the balance in full. I never received it to the address on file. I still currently live at the same address. Full payments always evokes a sense of urgency in me. So, I know I never received the letter in the mail.

Consumer Complaint: My account was closed XX/XX/XXXX with FedLoan, is supposed to be {$0.00}. Balance they are no longer my servicer. I have a new servicer XXXX. The transfer was completed in XX/XX/XXXX all loans are with XXXX. As of today FedLoan will not report my balance as {$0.00}, they are still reporting my balance on my XXXX and XXXX as open as if Im my account is still with their company. I have done several disputes and they are being updated as balance remains and Im no longer with them. I have spoken with the credit bureau and they state they only update what the company is putting out. FedLoan servicing is reporting to them that the balance is still open when clearly on my credit report I see when it was closed and transferred to another lender. One supervisor said the loans werent converted yet thats why Fedloans are still reporting a balance. False I have documentation from my new servicer showing all loans were transferred in XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX. I just need my account updated accurately Im no longer with FebLoan anymore

Consumer Complaint: On Wednesday, XX/XX/2022, I contacted FedLoan Servicing due to President Biden 's loan forgiveness announcement. I saw on the XXXX XXXX XXXX website that we were able to request a refund for payments made throughout the payment pause that started in XX/XX/2022. The customer service representative entered the refund request of up to {$10000.00}. I was told that the request had gone through and that I would receive an email confirmation within XXXX hours and further information in approximately XXXX weeks. I have not received an email confirmation and there are no updates on my loan account. I called a second time on XX/XX/2022 and the representative was unable to provide me with a status update or confirmation number and could only tell me that my information " is in the system ''. This concerns me because the application for student loan forgiveness has started but I can not apply or receive forgiveness until FedLoan Servicing processes my refund request and reinstates my loan.

Consumer Complaint: AES response reads that my loans are not FFELP loans. However, according to past correspondence I've received directly from AES, they ARE FFELP LOANS and hence, DO QUALIFY for consolidation. Please see below pasted email from AES. AES themselves told me that my loans are FFELP loans. Please reopen this case and have AES explain why they told me in this email that my loans are FFELP loans and now a month later they tell me they are not? Please read this email statement from AES below. They ARE FFELP loans according to AES in XX/XX/XXXX. Second paragraph. Second sentence. Right before I applied for direct consolidation. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted my first application for the XXXX program. I spoke with FedLoan Servicing in regards to submitting a request for a refund of voluntary payments made during the administrative forbearance ( COVID Cares Act ) in which I had continued making voluntary payments since XX/XX/XXXX. I was told I should wait to hear some correspondence about my eligibility for XXXX which I did on XX/XX/XXXX, I received notification that I had XXXX eligible PSLF payments, but they were waiting for an employer certification to come through to approve my loan FORGIVENESS. A few days prior, I spoke to FedLoan Servicing and was transferred to the specific department to make a request for my voluntary payments to be refunded. We submitted XXXX separate requests, one for payments Made in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, both for {$160.00} ... .and I received direct deposit refunds of those XXXX payments on XX/XX/XXXX. The second request was for payments made to XXXX ( my loan holder prior to transferring to FedLoan Servicing with my XXXX application, these payments totalled {$5300.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received correspondence from FedLoan Servicing reporting I had XXXX eligible payments ; had made XXXX PSLF qualifying payments and my estimated eligibility date for XXXX was XX/XX/XXXX. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a Public Service Loan Forgiveness correspondence which read " We have determined that you have successfully made the required 120 monthly payments in order to have all or a portion of your loans listed below forgiven. '' My online account states I was receiving loan forgiveness as of XX/XX/XXXX when my " XXXX payment '' was made. On XX/XX/XXXX I made a phone call to FedLoan Servicing to find out about my refund status and the employee told me that I needed to be patient and it could take anywhere from XXXX days for my request to be processed and that I would receive the payment in check form. But if it was approaching XXXX, I should call back and ask for another status update. XX/XX/XXXX, I once again called and spoke with an agent at FedLoan Servicing regarding the status and this time the gentleman told me that I should have received my refund by now and he wanted to resubmit my request, which he did with the advisement/assistance of his manager. I was told if I did not receive any correspondence within 2 weeks, I should call back. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I called FedLoan Servicing once again and I was informed by their agent and 2 subsequent managers that my loans were part of the Direct to Discharge and that I was not eligible for a refund of my payments made during the COVID forbearance. The first agent told me that if I wanted that money, it would cancel my loan discharge and I would have to pay that money back. The second agent told me that they just received information about this status being ineligible for refund and that my loan was " discharged '' not forgiven and so because of that I was not eligible. And the third manager, when asked why my loan was " discharged '' when I had applied for forgiveness and received notification my loans were FORGIVEN, he advised me because I wasn't getting forgiveness through XXXX but a different program which was Direct to Discharge, and that I would have to apply for a re-consideration on the XXXX website. He told me he could file a complaint with FedLoan Servicing, to which I said absolutely. He then advised me I could submit a complaint to the CFPB, which I am doing so now. Since XXXX, XXXX, I have spoken with FedLoan Servicing at least 14 times, and have been on hold/speaking to representatives for over 6 hours regarding this matter. Every call I asked for status updates on the refund and I was told it was in process and I should just be patient. That is over 7 months that I have been waiting for my refund, multiple conversations with different employees and all of a sudden I am not eligible for a refund? Something is not right here. I am including both correspondence from FedLoan Servicing dated XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. I am also including screenshots from XXXX showing my loan information with XXXX cumulative match months of XXXX months.

Consumer Complaint: I came out of XXXX XXXXXXXX in XXXX with approximately $ XXXX in XXXX and XXXX XXXX debt. I worked hard to consolidate my loans to make my payments management. My best option was a consolidated FFELP loan with AES XXXX which provided a manageable monthly payment. I've paid my loan regularly and am now down to approximately {$33000.00} left. I was pleased to hear about the loan forgiveness offered by President Biden. However, through research, EVEN THOUGH THE CONSOLIDATED LOANS ARE FEDERAL STUDENT LOANS, I learned that the {$10000.00} forgiveness is NOT going to apply to my loan because it's privately serviced. I did the right thing to handle my finances but am being left out of a valuable program. This needs to change.
