Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 I submitted a payment in the amount of {$25.00} via ACH transfer for my credit card payment. On XX/XX/2020 I noticed that there was a {$29.00} NSF Fee associated with my checking account but there was more than enough funds in my account to cover the payment. In addition, I have overdraft protection through my savings account which at the time also had roughly {$900.00} in it. Not only was I charged the NSF fee by USAA, but my credit card company ALSO charged me a bounced check fee and marked my account as past due. I

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage

Consumer Complaint: In early XXXX we received a pre approval for a VA mortgage through USAA Federal Bank ( Loan Application XXXX ). We are attempting to buy a home in XXXX XXXX as my wife received an employment offer in the immediate area. We moved to a rental in XXXX while the loan was in process for a home that we had placed under contract. We received pre approval and began the application process during the entire month of XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX. We were informed that our loan application was denied because we had placed our present home into forbearance when we were employed in XXXX and there was concern over our continued employment hours. During the loan application process we were asked to bring our existing home mortgage current which we have done. USAA stated that they required that all existing mortgages demonstrate 12 consecutive months of mortgage payments. It is our understanding that the federal forbearance mandate precluded any negative credit issues in regard to our credit rating. Our credit does not reflect any negative issues in regard to the mortgage or any other negative credit issues. We feel that the USAA Federal Bank has violated the federal mandate in regard to our VA loan application as they did not accept temporary forbearance in determining our loan. In addition the home is under contract and will close in late XXXX. USAA one day later after notifying us of the denial to continue a {$500.00} dollar appraisal which we had paid as required by USAA. We are now out the {$500.00} appraisal fee. We have contacted several individuals in the mortgage department and have only received confirmation that the loan application was denied due to federally granted forbearance. We would appreciate someone to determine the appropriateness of the denial and the loss of {$500.00}. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Consumer Complaint: see attatched Equifax XX/XX/XXXX referencing SECTION 605 B c of Fair Credit Act DENYING MY REQUEST FOR VERIFICATION. Please explain the allegation of ( B ) Basis of material misrepresentatation of fact by consumer.?? WHAT MATERIAL MISREPRESENTATION OF FACT IS XXXX ACCUSING ME OF?? I DID NOT OPEN THE USAA VISA ACCOUNT. Provide verification this visa was opened by me OR DELETE. See attatched USAA 1099-C CANCELLATION OF DEBT XX/XX/XXXX ( * VISA /MSTR DEBT it was both? But canceled XX/XX/XXXX. Account XXXX. ) This was a mastercard CANCELLED DEBT ) It turned into a Visa Card ( 4 ) Years later XXXX Without my Knowledge. See attatched USAA XXXX VISA card ending XXXX CREDIT CARD FRAUD CLAIM {$470.00} UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS XX/XX/XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX Fraud Claim Date XX/XX/XXXX. VISA end XXXX Had Unauthorized Transactions the first time I used it. I DID NOT APPLY FOR THIS CARD BUT USED IT WITHOUT KNOWING I DID NOT OPEN THIS ACCOUNT. See attatched XX/XX/XXXX United States Inspection Service ( Deliveries Not Made by USPS. Consumer Complaint: Usaa has blocked my access to manage and maintain the loan. I reduced my scheduled payment. Once they give me my access to the loan back I will submit more payments. USAA has deceptive and unfair practices. Their banking division needs to be looked into by federal authorities. I can see how blocking access to an account to the account holder is legal.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 I was notified via text alert from USAA of suspicious activity on my credit card. I checked online to discover two fraudulent charges : the first for {$91.00} and another for {$2300.00} made right after for a total of {$2400.00}. I immediately called USAA to report the fraud and change the credit card number. During the call with the credit card department, I was assured that this issue was handled. An adjustment was issued for the full amount. On XX/XX/2020, the full amount of the fraudulent charges was once again charged back to the account by USAA. I submitted a signed statement saying the charges are fraudulent. A few lengthy calls revealed that the fraud department employee had determined the fraud charges were my own doing since I was in possession of the card. The credit card department claimed I didn't answer two calls from the fraud department and therefore I am responsible for the fraudulent charges. After being assured that the case was being reopened, I recieved a credit card statement for the account with a monthly payment due for the fraudulent charges. A call with the escalations team revealed that the fraud department had incorrectly determined the charges to be legitimate since fraud is committed with fake cards and other means. Concerned about the payment due amount being reported on my credit report, I was assured that the fraud department would call me within 5 business days to gather information. I have recieved no communications from USAA regarding my fraud case. Payment is due in 4 days and I am left on the hook for a scammer 's greed. USAA has a zero liability policy for fraud, but only if they can correctly assess the charges to be fraudulent. USAA needs to get these fake charges off of my account!

Consumer Complaint: I have pulled my credit report from all three credit companies. XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/2020 ). These credit scores came from Annual credit Report Request Services. In getting a mortgage for a home ( FICO ) USAA credit pulled ( Annual Credit Report Request Service ), XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/2020 ). It's being report on my FICO credit report serious delinquency. The information from my credit report doesn't report serious delinquency so, where is the FICO score getting their information. I am a XXXX retire veteran who is concern. USAA and others gives you know dispute process or any understanding of why the scores are so different. In, fact, I have never been late before are during my chapter XXXX. I only filed Chapter XXXX because, of my divorce that landed me in jail in which, I was acquitted, and the Maryland supreme court overturned. I have personal credit with USAA and I have never been late on any payments.

Issue: Problem with the payoff process at the end of the loan

Consumer Complaint: I filed Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy on XX/XX/XXXX and it was discharged successfully on XX/XX/XXXX ( Case No. XXXX : XXXX ). I had a truck loan from USAA which was also included in the chapter XXXX BK. However, USAA bank currently has a lien on my title stating that I owe over {$5000.00}. The employee I spoke with from USAA 's Bankruptcy Department stated that he has information that the loan has been discharged but also states that I owe over {$5000.00} and needs to review it with his team. I stated that my ch.XXXX BK has been discharged since XX/XX/XXXX and it even shows on my credit that my XXXX XXXX XXXX has been paid off in the bankruptcy and I owe nothing. I was a member of USAA for over 20 years because they used to be a great company. Nevertheless, as time went on they became very corporate and their customer service and policies became very poor and dissapointing by putting lifelong members at a disadvantage with no incentive to keep using their services, even as a veteran. I no longer use USAA for any service and this experience is just another example of why I am no longer a member with USAA. Attached is my " Discharge of Debtor After Completion of Chapter XXXX Plan '' showing proof of all USAA loans being discharged.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, We submitted a Mortgage Application with one of USAA Loan representatives. at that time we were told that we were not approved due to XXXX XXXX middle credit score was 2 points less than required. Because of the information in the credit history, it is very important to review the credit information that is being furnished to make sure it is accurate, that's exactly what we did and discovered that there was inaccurate information reported on all three credit files. ITEM WAS DEPUTED and removed. On XX/XX/2020, we requested and application report to check XXXX XXXX Score to assure a required status. At that time We were told that XXXX XXXX score was not Significant enough to fit the required score to qualify for a Mortgage Loan. XXXX did not ask to have a credit application re- pulled because a credit report is good for 90 days. I was told that my middle score was to low. On XX/XX/2020 XXXX XXXX middle score was XXXX. On XX/XX/2020 XXXX XXXX middle score was XXXX. ( unexplainable ) One again we were asked to contact at three Credit Agencies. We did that and discovered that XXXX had no record of USAA ever inquiring of a credit file. Unexplainable.

Consumer Complaint: We were supposed to close on the XXXX of XXXX but USAA kept making excuse as to why the closing had to be delayed. They would ask for More documents Almost everyday despite us providing all documents required for the loan. So the closing date was pushed to XX/XX/XXXX. And i do not believe they are honoring their contract by this date. No call or informing the title company of this action. They are breaching their contract with us. On XX/XX/XXXX they sent us the closing disclosure but since then no action has been made. They have made us pay for an appraisal, made us obtain wind, hail and homeowners insurance to be effective on XX/XX/XXXX.
