Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX and {$72.00} in fees i made a phone call on XX/XX/2020 XXXX eastern on XX/XX/2020 those charges come out of my account. at the time of purchase, I had funds available to cover my purchases the bank showed me in my app that I made a purchase and that I had XXXX amount available to spend after purchase. so in my eyes, the bank is holding the money somewhere that I cant see for the merchandiser or vendor to get money, but I don't have to worry about it because the money is gone out my account I don't have to worry about it anymore. not 2 weeks later all purchases showed as pending .. the money was still taking out of my account so that I know what is available. and I had to call before about them freezing my account for me making purchases online .. they would block my card. but the only one I have to worry about fraud is them.. taking my money out of my account twice but on XX/XX/2020 the bank charged my account again with those charges and don't want to give my money back ... .. i sent some files of when they tried to recently take money out and when they already did at the time of purchase the only thing i cant prove but which i could've is the balance of my account at the time of purchase .. which will show that they are trying to steal my money

Consumer Complaint: I was written a bogus check by a company named XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, XXXX in the amount of {$4800.00} with the Suntrust Bank logo. My bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX approved the check and then cleared the full balance the following day after I deposited it. Then the third day, my bank reversed the balance for insufficient funds. In the mean time, someone had deceived and scammed me into wiring someone {$1500.00} through XXXX and then had me purchase {$2700.00} in money orders through the united states post office. By the time I sent all the money I was instructed to send, the bank then takes part of the funds I had saved in my business account and it demanding that I pay the full balance of the {$4800.00} in which I still owe {$3300.00} of. I called Suntrust bank, and was helped by BB & T bank. I was told that Suntrust and BB & T bank are not merged into a new name XXXX XXXX. BB & T gave me a case number and when I called to follow up on my conversation, another rep told me that those case numbers are not valid and that she didn't know what number that was I was given. I was then told I needed to talk to my bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX and that they were the ones who would have to get in touch with them about the check, not me. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX to tell them this, but nothing was done by either bank to assist me in any way.

I have written them 4 different letters requesting that they be removed to no avail. Consumer Complaint: We have tried in vain for months to contact someone in person and by phone at Truist ( BB & T ) as well as the law firm they hired for collections regarding our account. We received a collections notice dated XX/XX/XXXX. After repeated attempts of not being able to speak with anyone or have a call returned, we are filing this complaint with the hopes of getting some answers regarding our home equity line. Weve been trying since XX/XX/XXXX to initiate a short sale process with XXXX XXXX XXXX, who holds the first mortgage on our home. We put the home on the market for sale in XX/XX/XXXX but had no buyer interest due to deferred maintenance and possible structural damage to the house. Weve gone through months of paperwork and, in XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX finally offered a loan modification and a lower monthly payment, which we could still not afford due to a job layoff in XX/XX/XXXX. Weve since had two contracts to purchase the home, both well under the listing price, but the buyers backed out because the process dragged on too long. We couldnt get any response from Truist ( BB & T ) regarding the release of the second lien and received conflicting information about whom was to make the request ( us/our agent or the bank ) related to the short sale. We now have a third contract and are working through the short sale process with XXXX XXXX XXXX, although the loan was apparently service released to another mortgage company without us knowing ( we were told a letter was sent but we never received one ). We would like to ensure that Truist ( BB & T ) is part of the short sale process to see if we can get some of the debt repaid during the short sale settlement. We understand that the coronavirus pandemic has complicated matters but wed like to try to honor our commitment to pay back what we can. It's impossible to get hold of someone knowledgeable who can help answer our questions so please provide us with contact information and answers to our questions.

Consumer Complaint: I used funds in my BB & T bank account to make a {$6100.00} payment to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for a cruise. On XX/XX/2020, the company sent to me an email, notifying me that the cruise was cancelled and offered to me a 125 % credit. On that same date I declined the credit offer and requested a full refund. After several subsequent attempts to obtain my refund, I filed a dispute on the payment with BB & T and requested that they reverse the payment back to my account. The bank responded to my dispute by stating that, since I had received some value for the payment, the bank would not reverse the payment. I wrote to the bank on XX/XX/2020, stating that I did not receive anything from the company except an offer for a 125 % credit, which I immediately refused and immediately requested a full refund. Since I have not received the refund, I asked the bank to explain what other benefit I derived from the payment. The bank has not responded further.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have filed a complaint with Truist bank about funds that I did not receive. I paid for a trip through XXXX using my debit card. It was used as credit since a pin was not entered. I approved the charges but bookit cancelled my trip, without my authorization, and telling me to get refunded through my bank. Im unable to reach the merchant by phone or email since they have suspended all transactions. XXXX keeps telling me I have to go through the merchant to get refunded but they have disconnected their phones and email. This is services not rendered and am asking truist to please open my dispute back up. They keep denying my claim saying to go through the merchant. Many other customers have gotten their money back through their banks for services not rendered and used their debit card as well. Even if their trip was months away they have gotten their money back since XXXX went and cancelled their trip and are not refunding anyone back. I have attached what XXXX is telling customers to do and how to get their money back. My trip was XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Thanks, XXXX XXXX
