Consumer Complaint: ABUSE OF RIGHT by BB & T - Home Equity Line of Credit # XXXX My Home Equity Line of Credit ( HELOC ) at bank BB & T bank ( now Truist ) reached its maturity date recently and had to convert to a repayment period, which it was stipulated in one of its clauses. However, BB & T has exercised this clause with abuse and unconscionability, violating the principle of good faith or elementary fairness. BB & T decided to raise my payment from {$350.00} to {$2300.00} per month ( statements attached ). They expect me to repay {$94000.00} in only 44 months, which is impossible for me or any mid-class family. They have not cared that my housing payment ratio rise to 90 % of my gross income. They know that I do not have the income to cover this payment, since they asked me for the documents about my income, and they still do not want to listen to me. BB & T, abusing the power it has with this clause, has set a monthly payment that favors them better, but that is leading me to lose my house very soon. I am current on my payments, but I do not know for how long it can be.

Consumer Complaint: My previous complaint on this same topic - XXXX. It takes SUNTRUST now TRUIST a month to process payments. In XX/XX/2021 I received a bill and made three payments to try and rectify the situation with n success. They still charged a late fee and interest. until I complained and got it reversed. They tried to blame me saying aI I used the wrong address. When that proved to be a bogus strategy they then blamed the post office. When I pointed out my previous complaint predated recent postal problems which they said started in XXXX they told me to drive to the branch and pay in person. For the month of XXXX, I received a bill for {$150.00} and paid on XX/XX/XXXX {$400.00}. The payment has still not been logged in. I suspect they are doing this to garner late fees and interest charges.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2021 I received a paper checking statement from SunTrust Bank. I had never heard of SunTrust Bank and it was apparent to me that someone opened up the account in my name. I called to inquire on the account. The representative checked the account to make sure that there wasn't any money going in to or out of the account and assured me that SunTrust would freeze the account to assure that no one was able to credit or debit the account and that they would submit the account to their security and fraud department to have it investigated and closed. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a second checking account statement from SunTrust. The checking account was still open. And they had included a {$3.00} charge for sending me a paper statement. On XX/XX/XXXX I called SunTrust again to see why the account was still open and to dispute the {$3.00} paper statement charge. XXXX from customer service said that the charge would be waived and transferred me to the fraud and security department. The woman who I spoke to said that the account was still open because a case had not been opened in XXXX when I called. She said that the account was frozen. I explained that I didn't want the account frozen, but that I wanted it closed. She again said that they would submit the case to their investigators to look in to the account. I explained that this happened last month but the account was still open. There was nothing that she could do.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX lied to me about the finance charge in my contract and are being reckless with my credit card/ driver license. By law XXXX XXXX XXXX says the finance charge is the sum of all charges, and it supposed to include insurance and I was not offered insurance. The finance charge also cant be paid by cash, they have and still are trying to take cash in a consumer credit transaction with a finance charge involved. When I asked why the debt is valid they sent a contract showing the finance charge. Also when I let them know about their violations they gave some unauthorized random person permission to see and send a picture of my license on the internet. That is a violation of my privacy. Because they know about there finance charge violations they are civilly liable for twice the finance charge pursuant XXXX5 usc 1640. And they are criminally liable purusant 15 usc 1611. I have sent them a affidavit of truth with the contract which is a supporting exhibit, and invoice with a legal notice. I want them to cease and desist all mediums of communication with me, unless they are talking about remedy.

I was informed by Truist /BB & T representative ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) that the branch was not staffed with officers who could open the safety deposit box. I have a safety deposit box at this branch for over 20 years. The lack of access to my SD box contents today is troubling, and has had impacts to my business. The bank needs to maintain required staffing levels and support all banking functions during posted banking hours.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a fraud case with my bank BB & T in XXXX, Ga. So this what happened I planned on buying a XXXX via social media XX/XX/ guy turned out to be a fraud I did not authorize sending money to him he was posing as another person. The money was sent through XXXX in my banking app so I knew my money was safe. Turns out it was not I filed my fraud claim and they denied my claim it was for {$550.00} dollars. My claim number is XXXX The reason they denied me cause they said it was not they responsibility this XXXX me off tremendously. They did not even contact me telling me I was denied I had to call them. So when I called XXXX they said if I had a account because of my bank take my issue up with my bank since my account is not on the actual XXXX app. So XXXX or my bank does not want to take responsibility which ultimately leads to me being out of {$550.00} dollars for no reason BB & T did a very poor job of explaining this ion even have a XXXX account personally only knew about it because of BB & T. Ion see why they would let us use XXXX on the BB & T and not insure our money I feel used and mislead by BB & T. I dont think its fair that they know my money is gone due to fraud and they said its nothing they can do for me this makes me livid. I am a XXXX XXXX and didnt receive any stimulus checks I dont have money to waste BB & T seems very uninterested in my problem and situation and after this situation is taken care of I plan on closing my account and cutting my ties with the bank. If they can talk to me for a hour at the branch about getting one of their credit cards they can explain the terms they have for XXXX. I turned in tremendous evidence I am trying so hard to get my money back. The terms XXXX and my bank are tallying about does not benefit me at all it benefits scammers.

With an inactivated card the bank was supposed to send to me because my current card was inactive. I live in Florida and was not in Georgia. My card was not stolen as the agent implied. The new card never made it to my home. Wherever the bank mailed the card to ... the person at that end activated the new card with an unauthorized phone number and pin to make the transactions mentioned above. The bank will not disclose who or what number was used to activated the card. I filed a police report and submitted requested documents by the bank and they are still denying to refund my stolen money.
