Consumer Complaint: I I am writing to bring to your attention the inaccuracies in my consumer report that are severely impacting my financial prospects. I recently filed a dispute with SunTrust Bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, VA XXXX ) regarding ACCT # XXXX. Despite my efforts to rectify this matter, I was erroneously informed of a charge-off amount of {$160.00}, which is wholly inaccurate and is adversely affecting my ability to open a bank account. Upon contacting XXXX at XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MN XXXX ), I discovered that they have been reporting this erroneous information, stating a charge-off amount of {$160.00} and a balance labeled as partially paid. I want to emphasize that I do not owe any outstanding balance to SunTrust Bank or XXXX XXXX. It is imperative that XXXX correct this misinformation promptly and remove any negative items from my consumer report related to this issue, in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Section 605 - Requirements Relating to Information Furnished by Consumer Reporting Agencies : " ( a ) Information is is excluded from consumer reports. Except as authorized under subsection ( b ) of this section, no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information : ( 1 ) Cases under title 11 [ United States Code ] or under the Bankruptcy Act that, from the date of entry of the order for relief or the date of adjudication, as the case may be, antedate the report by more than 10 years. '' " ( b ) Ending of consumer reporting agency exclusion upon information deletion. The ten-year period referred to in paragraph ( 1 ) of subsection ( a ) shall not include any period during which ... '' " ( c ) Running of reporting period. The 7-year period referred to in paragraphs ( 4 ) and ( 6 ) of subsection ( a ) shall begin, with respect to any delinquent account that is placed for collection ( internally or by referral to a third party, whichever is earlier ), charged to profit and loss, or subjected to any similar action, upon the expiration of the 180-day period beginning on the date of the commencement of the delinquency which immediately preceded the collection activity, charge to profit and loss, or similar action. '' Section 611 - Procedure in Case of Disputed Accuracy : " ( a ) Reinvestigation of disputed information. ( 1 ) Reinvestigation required. If the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumers file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, or indirectly through a reseller, of such dispute, the agency shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph ( 5 ), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller. '' Section 623 - Responsibilities of Furnishers of Information to Consumer Reporting Agencies : " ( a ) Duty of Furnishers of Information to Provide Accurate Information. ( 1 ) Prohibition. Except as provided in subsection ( f ) of this section, no person that furnishes information to a consumer reporting agency may furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. '' Section 616 - Civil Liability for Willful Noncompliance : " ( a ) In general. Any person who willfully fails to comply with any requirement imposed under this subchapter with respect to any consumer is liable to that consumer in an amount equal to the sum of ( 1 ) any actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or damages of not less than {$100.00} and not more than {$1000.00}. '' " ( b ) Civil liability for knowing noncompliance. Any person who obtains a consumer report from a consumer reporting agency under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose shall be liable to the consumer reporting agency for actual damages sustained by the consumer reporting agency or {$1000.00}, whichever is greater. '' Furthermore, I would like to address the multiple inquiries made on my consumer file by XXXX in Texas ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX ) on the following dates : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. I want to clarify that I have never visited Texas to open an account, and these inquiries are unjustly hindering my ability to open new accounts due to the perceived high number of inquiries across multiple locations. This inaccurate information must be rectified in accordance with FCRA guidelines. I request immediate correction of these inaccuracies as mandated by relevant consumer protection laws. Under the FCRA, consumers have the right to dispute inaccurate information on their credit reports and request that it be corrected or removed. Failure to comply with FCRA requirements may render XXXX liable for damages resulting from their non-compliance. Thank you for your prompt attention to this urgent matter.

Issue: Closing on a mortgage
Subissue: Trying to communicate with the company to fix an issue with the loan closing
Consumer Complaint: In 2006 I purchased real property at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Georgia XXXX. I have been making payments to Truist ( XXXX ) and XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account number # XXXX ) and paying taxes via XXXX escrow account with no late payments. I contacted XXXX XXXX tax accessors office and my name is not listed on tax bill, nor have I received any tax bills. Apparently when taxes are paid it does not reflect who is paying the bill, only that the bill is paid. The only reason, that I am aware of the situation, is because I wanted to place the property into a trust account. According to accessors office, the mortgage company should have filed the deed with the county accessors office, showing my name, so it would reflect on tax bills. I was informed by accessors office, that the ball was dropped somewhere, because there should be a deed on file reflecting my name, and I was informed to reach out to mortgage company. Therefore, I reached out to Truist and XXXX, whom I pay for my loans XXXX and XXXX with No Preval. I have been getting the run around from Truist and XXXX with getting to the bottom of this is. Truist and XXXX blames each other and no one is taking accountability. There appears to be poor communication, or a lack of responsiveness. Please help.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Cashing a check
Consumer Complaint: It all started on XX/XX/XXXX when I deposited a check and open an account on the same day. I will need to check on my insurance company for a loan of fmy life insurance. I did a mobile deposit like 10 days later the money was in my account that was XXXX XXXX. On that day I realized I did not have or did I receive a bank card so I called and ordered one. Due to the fact I didnt have a bank card I sent money through my account through XXXX XXXX I can get some money so I sent it to some friends because I had no way of getting the money out by Monday, XXXX XXXX they froze my account and said it was due to the check being fraudulent. I spoke to supervisor on the phone that day who told me that the check was from a steel construction company. this made no sense to me at all because the check literally came from my insurance company. They mailed it to me. I had to go through a whole too much process just to get this loan from my insurance company so I knew that there wasnt nothing shady about it and the check said XXXX XXXX insurance on the front. So Im just been waiting and waiting. I spoke to people at the bank XXXX department several times wanting answers but nobody was really telling me anything except that I had to wait in my account was frozen and under investigation. I finally contacted the Fdic because I felt like it was not making sense because they cashed the check but theyre saying that its fraudulent I didnt understand so after I contacted the FdiC, XXXX received a letter from the bank stating that they were closing my account. So I called several times to speak to somebody trying to figure out what was going on with the money that was in my account from the check and I spoke with a lady named XXXX from the fdic and she informed me that the bank was going to have to either give me the money or send it back to the insurance company. I explain to the people at the bank that I got that one because I needed that loan because I was behind on my bills and now Im about to lose everything. In just a few days, Im gon na be homeless. I got that off my life insurance because I needed it and this whole situation is ridiculous because they literally are taking my money and now telling me that theyre keeping it. I cant do anything about it. Spoke with the lady named XXXX XXXX At the XXXX department from Truist who told me that I couldnt get the money back and they were keeping it and they had every legal right to keep it. I dont understand how they have the right to take my money.

Subissue: Paying off the loan
Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am submitting this complaint because of my second mortgage company Truist. In which I took out a XXXX yr. mortgage with XXXX in XXXX. My second mortgage has been sold to several different companies and now it's with Truist Bank now. I took a loan out with XXXX back in XXXX for the amount of XXXX. My maturity date for this loan was XX/XX/XXXX. The statements that I was getting were reflecting that I only owe about XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX. Then when XX/XX/XXXX my loan was reset for XXXX. This is a big error and this needs to be fixed. I reached out to Truist they were not listening. I went up the ladder to speak to someone higher up and still no one knows nothing. I did speak to someone in XX/XX/XXXX her name was XXXX and we stood on the phone over 2 hours trying to get this straight. She said XXXX XXXX you are right your last payment is XX/XX/XXXX. Please help me I am being taking advantage of.
