Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check for {$10000.00} on Friday XX/XX/2022. Check cleared the bank that the check was written from on Friday XX/XX/2022. Truist put a hold on my check on Saturday, XX/XX/2022. I waited a few days, then called customer service. I was told the hold was due to " doubtful recovery of funds '' and was told to go into a branch with the check to possibly get the hold removed. I went into branch with the check and was told that if I could provide proof that the check had cleared, that they could remove the hold. I emailed proof of the clearing within 2 hours of being in the branch. The branch leader called me the next day after I sent another email asking for an update and said that it would be done. Today is Monday XX/XX/2022, the day my funds were originally supposed to be available and I still do not have the funds.

Consumer Complaint: I received 2 emails today stating account information credentials for truist bank which I have never been to or used etc. it notified me I had opened a savings and checking account under my name at XXXX this morning when I was waking up for work. Every time I try to call any number for the bank it asks for my social security or card number which Im not going to disclose, theres no option to speak to anyone. Im broke as can be, theres no way Im opening any other accounts etc, Ive been working my butt off day and night to close credit cards and former debt.

Consumer Complaint: I'm trying to close an IRA and transfer the funds to XXXX. The Truist account statement has a number for the branch ( XXXX ) which is not in service. When I called their other number ( XXXX ) on XX/XX/22 I was told that XXXX needs to request the funds from them, they would not send otherwise. They gave me a fax number ( XXXX ) to send the request. I had XXXX send the request ( attached ) and signed the form ( this is my mother 's account but I have power of attorney, also attached ). Truist will not provide any status to XXXX. I called again today, XX/XX/22, and after navigating through their system and reaching a person was told they had to transfer me to " the IRA department '' at which point they transferred me to a number that is not in service. I have done similar transactions with other banks with no issues. This is ridiculous. Your assistance is much appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: I have a real estate development company. Regularly deposit and make payments in the {$10000.00} to over {$100000.00} range. I use A Truist account for all disbursements even though I have a real estate development loan with another bank. Friday XX/XX/XXXX I deposited an {$80000.00} check from my account at XXXX XXXX into my account at Truist. Truist places a {$73000.00} hold on my account till XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX is happy to provide proof that the check is covered. They can not stop payment on the check since it has already cleared. Truist is unwilling to lift the hold. They have stolen my money over the XXXX holiday so many vendors go unpaid, my project is stalled and I incur finance charges and have to deal with upset purchasers, investors and vendors. There is apparently no way to cure this administrative hold. There should be.

Consumer Complaint: I refinanced my vehicle in XX/XX/2022 with my bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The bank sent payoff to the finance company Regional Acceptance Corporation. They received the check but claim they lost it. The bank sent a second check and this one did not post either because they claim it was supposed to be sent to a different address in NC and she said she threw it away. The bank calls them again and gets a good address and verifies it with several employees and sends a third check but this time its already XXXX and interest and fees have incurred and the payoff has increased. To cover the full payoff, the bank had to refinance my loan a second time, with these late charges, my payment went up and basically I got penalized for their incompetence. So on XX/XX/XXXX a Third check is XXXX overnight and is received by Regional. They verify the reciept and say check will post in a couple of days. Today is XX/XX/XXXX. The third check has still not posted. My bank is telling my that since there was no XXXX in front of the address ( for east ) they returned the check and reversed the post. My bank asked why would you do that if you already had the check?! Whn he asked to speak to a supervisor they said she just stepped out and told him to hold. Needless to say, they never returned. My bank rep straight out told me this company is playing games. I am an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and have no time to be playing on the phones as this company likes to do. I guess asking for professionalism and honesty is something these people will not do. I have already had to be stuck with late fees and interest once and I feel like they are trying to do this to me again. Please if anyone can assist with getting this matter resolved? I just want to pay off my vehicle and move on from this nightmare. These people do not care and are a second rate finance company. They should not be doing any business with anyone.

I have tax liens on my public records report for a business debt for payroll payments to the IRS. These reports show on my property has liens because I can not get them removed only by the irs. XX/XX/XXXX - complete motivation package XX/XX/XXXX - denied modification package XX/XX/XXXX - submit another modification package XX/XX/XXXX - package resubmitted and denied again XX/XX/XXXX - denied again XXXX Filled for loan modification and assistance- application and other required documents. XX/XX/XXXX - irs reaches out to the Truist Bank- formerly BB & T- no response from them. XX/XX/XXXX - time has expired with Truist Mortgage and I had to submit another modification package to avoid foreclosure. XX/XX/XXXX - Filled for loan modification and assistance- application and other required documents. this is 10 times that I have submitted a modification package to the mortgage company. And I keep getting the same run around! XXXX/XXXX/XXXX - another package was submitted and 45 to 60 days later same result. They let the Irs application expire and they will not send the required documents that irs representative is asking for which is the deed and the modification process that states I will not receive any funds from the modification just restart my mortgage. XX/XX/XXXX - submitted another modification package and another Irs application for the subordinate agreement for the tax liens and the truist is still refusing to assistance for a modification!

Consumer Complaint: I was informed there was a charge on a credit card from Trusist bank. I do not use this card or carry it with me. We contacted the fraud department and was told the issue was resolved and the account was closed. I received a letter in the mail from the fraud department stating that the account was closed and the issue was resolved. I keep getting calls and letter from Trusist bank that I still owe the money, they have reported late payments XXXX times to the credit bureau running my credit. I have sent copies of the letter from the fraud department and am still receiving letters from Trusist bank saying I owe them the money and they are reporting a late payment to the credit bureau. Truist Bank refuses to talk to their own fraud department, or acknowledge the letters from their fraud department and are trying to force me to pay money to them I don't owe and ruining my credit in the process.
