Consumer Complaint: I used auto debit from my checking account tied to my credit card, which the card was from the same bank. At various times I would change the amounts auto debited to pay my credit card bill. Unbeknownst to me the new amount would not cancel the old amount so they would stack on top of each other. I was dealing with my dads health issues so I didnt realize what was happening. Then it just became a vicious circle of them taking money out of my checking account, putting me in the hole then they would take cash out of my card to put back into the checking. And all this time Im paying all this interest and fees, just a merry go round of money. When my bank was Suntrust the new auto debit I would select would cancel out the old auto debit. Apparently Truist changed it up. They told me thats not the way it works. I was dumbfounded how they go about auto debit to make payments. I have all the old account records from the day they became Truist. Closed out account on XXXX and theyre still saying I owe them money. XXXX bank!

Consumer Complaint: XXXX, XXXX BANK, TRUIST BANK has violated ( FCRA, XXXX, XXXX & Privacy act of 1974 Which has caused my business XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to be shut down for 8 months & has caused an extreme inconvenience in my everyday life. Since this unfortunate event took place this has effected my reputation, loss of clients, loss of money, deep XXXX, time off to study laws such as FCRA, XXXX, XXXX, Privacy act of 1974 etc ( as per invoice shown under study ), I have lost the confidence to walk into other bank institutions in fear of rejections, my Credit has been effected, my privacy has been invaded and my family has been effected as well. I have reached out to all 3 parties : XXXX, XXXX BANK, TRUIST BANK in good faith giving them the opportunity to rectify this matter and unfortunately to this day I have not got any response from any of the three mentioned. I am very confident that my voice will be heard as I am a federally protected consumer & such agencies such as CFPB to name one of the few are here for my protection. I have up to XXXX recordings of the conversation that took place between myself, XXXX and chase supervisor that gives a clear indication that one or in fact both parties ( XXXX & XXXX ) are in the wrong. I would be more than happy to cooperate with your agency if the following recording is requested. Futhermore, It seems that I have been discriminated against by Truist bank. It has come to my attention that they requested information from non-affiliate parties to gather not only my nonpublic personal information but also confidential information on me. This information went as far as my banking transactions from another financial institution ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). When in contact with an XXXX supervisor they confirmed that Truist Bank has requested such information on me after opening my business account with them. Once I received such notice that my account closed I drove to the branch at Truist Bank on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX is the person I spoke with to get more information on why account was closed & he told me its because something came back with fraudulent from XXXX report, Which was a even bigger concern because i have never been involved or did anything fraudulent in my life. I have never contracted with ( XXXX ), I have never given XXXX any authorization to share my non public personal information which shows they are in violation. Truist breached their U.S privacy notice as it states they do not share non public personal information with non-affiliates, and from my knowledge XXXX & XXXX XXXX are NON affiliates. XXXX XXXX has been sharing my non public personal information with XXXX going back 7 years. Which is another concern & this violates XXXX PRIVACY NOTICE at ut states they dont share after 5 years. The three mentioned are in violation of FCRA, XXXX, XXXX & Privacy Act of XXXX. The XXXX Comprehensive File disclosure backs up my claim. I have a list of XXXX transactions going back 7 years & I never gave them the authorization to do so nor was I given my right to opt out under code 15 USC 6802. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 A states, There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and as a Consumer I have the right to make sure there is no private information being shared which is protected by 15 USC 6801 which states '' It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) not only the financial institution but also the consumer reporting agencies such as XXXX and XXXX do not have my authorization to furnish this nor any information also never have I ever gave or given my written consent to do so. Any and all consent to XXXX, XXXX, ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied or otherwise is revoked. 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) states that " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) Never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. Not only that 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) states '' Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. '' This account is an adverse item they are reporting again without my authorization which is designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. XXXX and XXXX are not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also 12 CFR 1016.7 states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at any time. '' I am opting out of your reporting services.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a new personal checking account online with Truist Bank on XX/XX/. My next payday was XX/XX/ & my boss doesn't do direct deposit, so we all get payroll checks. Mine was {$1400.00} & I did a mobile deposit on it since it was offered. A separate box popped up notifying me that my funds would not be available for 1-2 business days, but then I received an email saying a hold was placed until the following Wed XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a letter in the mail from the bank stating that Truist found it necessary to block my acct due to suspicious and/or unusual activity. They blocked me from it without notifying me beforehand & I was unable to withdraw funds prior. I've called multiple times & have been given the runaround. I made calls on XX/XX/24, XX/XX/24, and XX/XX/24 & on this day I was told the acct was set to reopen/unblock on the XXXX. I called on XX/XX/24 & was told my payroll has cleared, but the account was still blocked & under review & again no one was willing or able to explain the hold/block nor tell me when it would get unblocked. I was told to call back on XX/XX/24 for another update, I did this morning at XXXX XXXX & was yet again told the same thing. I even asked to speak to an analyst about my case & she informed me that she couldn't give me a release date & to call back in another SEVEN business days or to try on Monday XX/XX/24. I have XXXX kids at home and one of them is an XXXX & I do not have access to my money from my payroll check from the XXXX XXXX XXXX I need to buy groceries, pay my electric & water bill & get gas to get myself to work & school and no one can help me. I've already called Truist Bank Customer Service, again, to file a complaint & am now filing one here. My next stop will be to my local news stations. I have XXXX funds on me as I'm typing this. I need access to my account asap. I've only had a few transactions with this account & those were to pay previous bills. They sent me a debit card and I'm not even sure why since they blocked the account from me accessing it. I can't even walk into the local branch to withdraw funds due to the block. PLEASE HELP.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Funds not received from closed account
Consumer Complaint: My XXXX XXXX XXXX account was closed due to a false report from the XXXX driver company. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX has been holding my funds hostage. They claimed they would send a check for my remaining funds but never have. Its been over a week at this point. My XXXX XXXX XXXX account is linked to my XXXX driver account. This is where my earnings go directly. Context : XXXX shut down my XXXX driver account within 24 hrs of me renting through the XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. This program allows XXXX drivers to rent a XXXX through the XXXX XXXX XXXX. The company has stipulations. You must complete at least 30 trips within the week, and you get charged on a weekly bases. As I mentioned earlier, XXXX shut off access to my XXXX driver account within 24 hrs of me receiving the rental that I paid. They said that they were doing a safety investigation. This so called investigation happened to last a week and be over the day after I had to return the rental. My XXXX account is now active. XXXX scammed me as well as other people. So in a nutshell, XXXX conspired to shut down my account, use their power to shut down my bank account, then XXXX fraudulently charged, then fraudulently overcharged me. I have evidence for everything. To explain the XXXX charges : *To clarify the following explains the fraudulent charges charged to my XXXXXXXX XXXX account after it was closed for no reason and in a discriminatory fashion. I called the bank and found out that my remains balance wont be sent to me ( as they said ) because XXXX overdrafted my account after it was closed. These are fraudulent charges. XXXX did not give me the XXXX at XXXX percent full, it wasn't even half of that. They charged me for an extra day, when I returned it the same day. The employee that handed me the keys told me it doesnt matter what time its returned that day because the car was given to me hours after my reservation time. He is recorded saying this. The cleaning fee is fraudulent. I took pictures of the interior and exterior. The XXXX rental itself is fraudulent. XXXX shut down my XXXX account within 24 hrs of my XXXX XXXX XXXX ( 1 week reservation ). Ive added phot evidence of the charges

Consumer Complaint: I called Truist on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and spoke to customer service and advised them payments were being reported late negatively affecting my credit report. The payments that are being reported on my credit profile violate my consumer rights under FCRA Consumer Law 15 USC 1666B. As a long- time customer that has had exceptional payment history with Truist XXXX I am appalled that they will violate my consumer rights in such a manner that is detrimental to me achieving a good credit profile which affects my approval for other accounts. After speaking with Truist customer service, they were not helpful and didn't listen to as a long-time customer. They advised me there was nothing they could do, although they were aware my consumer rights had been violated. I can not believe a company of this magnitude doesn't care about their customers consumer rights. Truist is tarnishing my name and credit profile by reporting these late payments inaccurately without my consent. As well as my creditworthiness, character, and my general reputation which is also against the FCRA
