Consumer Complaint: We took out a home improvement loan for the installation of new windows. The installation of the windows were not done properly and damaged. I was contacted by the XXXX XXXX after the installation was done, asking if I was satisficed with the installation, which we weren't. I contacted them via their website customer service link and said so and, do not fund the loan. I was waiting for the window company to respond to my complaint. I than called them, because I did not receive a response from them and talked to a service rep who took down my information and said a complaint would be generated and I would hear back within a week. I didn't. I called yesterday XX/XX/21, to follow up on the case and was told the loan had been funded. I ask why they would fund the loan when I was not satisfied with the installation and damaged window. The response was basically, there was no one from the appropriate department to help me and to call back on Monday. I advised the rep that I will not be paying the loan until the damage window was replaced and why would you fund a loan when there was a dispute. Again, that was not her department and to call back Monday. To me, this is a direct attack on my credit and a violation of the terms and conditions of the loan.

Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: We had to take part in the Cares Act for non payment of mortgage around mid year XX/XX/2020 due to Covid-19 and again soon after the 6 months for same reason. I was told that at the end of the 6 months to call my mortgage lender and the balance owed would be added to the back of the loan. Apparently this never happened because before we knew it our home was on the Sheriff 's sales list and at pre-foreclosure! The bank wanted {$41000.00} upfront in one lump sum! We could not do such a thing so we were put on foreclosure. My husband had to declare bankruptcy! to keep the home. We're making payments every month but struggling to do so ... {$1800.00} roughly a month. {$1000.00} ( Current mortgage amt ) plus {$800.00} ( Past due mortgage ). I'm reading that this wasn't supposed to happen! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You,

Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Truist Mortgage Company owes me {$1100.00}. We closed on the sale of our home on XX/XX/2023. On XX/XX/2023 they took out this amount through autopay. I contacted them the same day and they confirmed that the loan had been paid in full on XX/XX/XXXX and that I would receive a check for the remaining escrow but this issue would take a few weeks to fix and send that check. It was just an error with the payment coming out so close to the final pay out. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted them again as I still had not received the check for {$1100.00}. I had received our escrow refund so they have all the info to make sure I get the money. I spoke with XXXX from client services this time and she said she could see that they took the money out but I was going to have prove that it was actually taken out of my account and then gave me this email address XXXX. This email address seemed fishy to me and I expressed that I feel like they were trying to keep the money they owed me. I sent them the info to that address anyways and, as of XX/XX/2023, I still haven't been contacted with a solution. At this point I think I am a victim of theft by Truist Bank. My next step is to hire a lawyer. I am a XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and trying to get a new home for my family and need this money during this difficult period of transition. Truist doesn't even care enough to contact me.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Truist bank and credit card servicer On XX/XX/23 there were 3 suspicious charges to my credit card- that I received a text about and immediately reported them as fraud. I received a letter verifying my claim a few days later stating that I would not be responsible and the charges would be removed as well as any fees and interest. One of the charges remained and I have called weekly asking why. They stated still investigating and not responsible for charges. I have now been reported to credit agency as 30 day causing an almost XXXX point drop from XXXX XXXX to low XXXX. Any to reiterate the ONLY charge on this card is the reported fraudulent one that is now accruing late fees and interest ( that I have been told several times I am not responsible for ). I have called them weekly for resolution. I have logged over XXXX hours on the phone and have been promised call backs which I have never received. This is the worst banking experience and handling of an obvious fraudulent charge in my XXXX years and dealing with over 10 banks.
