When answering the phone, they have asked for my wife 's name but do not identify themselves until asked, the reason that they are calling, or leave a voicemail. Upon looking up their information on XXXX, they are a debt collection agency based out of XXXX XXXX, California. In addition, we have no debts that are owed. They have used phone numbers ( XXXX ) XXXX & ( XXXX ) XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: A COLLECTIONS ACCOUNT WAS OPENED WITH TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS FOR 2 DIFFERENT ACCOUNTS. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THESE ACCOUNTS ARE FROM BUT THE DATES SHOW IT WAS A " DEFAULT '' FROM XXXX, 2014. THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS ON DEBT COLLECTIONS IN MY STATE IS 5 YEARS. WE ARE WELL PASSED THE POINT OF COLLECTING. THEY ARE NOT ABIDING BY THE LAW BY TRYING TO COLLECT SAID DEBT. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY NOTICES OR ANY VERIFICATION OF THIS SAID DEBT. THIS COLLECTION IS HURTING MY CREDIT SCORE CURRENTLY. SINCE THEY CAN NOT VERIFY THE DEBT IT NEEDS REMOVED FROM CREDIT.

Consumer Complaint: From XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX I was in forbearance with UAS LLC because I was living well below the poverty line. In XX/XX/XXXX I submitted an income based repayment plan application for monthly payments in amount {$120.00}. As of XX/XX/XXXX, I can not find record of the approval for the IBR in the UAS LLC portal, but I do have a XX/XX/XXXX message in the portal from customer service telling me to send the completed application to their email ( outside of the portal ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I made my first payment of {$120.00} and have been paying since. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from my parents in which they sent a scanned PDF of a physical letter they received at their address ( my 'home ' address registered with UAS LLC ) claiming that I am delinquent on a payment of {$420.00}. The letter is on my XXXX XXXX XXXX College letterhead ( my institution ) and is signed by the school 's Director of Student and Departmental Account Services. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent an email to the director and to the UAS LLC addresses provided in the letter about how both of the organizations failed to adequately and fairly communicate with me in a timely manner about the charge. It is outrageous to me that UAS LLC and XXXX XXXX XXXX College think it's okay to communicate nothing about the alleged charge from XX/XX/XXXXto XX/XX/XXXX, and then think it adequate that a single paper letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX College in XX/XX/XXXXis fair and sufficient notice about the demanded payment.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2017 I went to an urgent care at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, OK XXXX because of a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I paid a fee to see a doctor and specifically said I did not agree to pay outside lab fees. I told them I had a XXXX XXXX XXXX, which I verified by taking a test I bought at a pharmacy for about {$10.00}. I was told by the intake clerk that the test was included and performed in their office. I received a bill from XXXX XXXX of Oklahoma invoice date XX/XX/2017 in the amount of {$510.00}. The bill listed two XXXX XXXX XXXX ; XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ; two XXXX XXXX, AXXXX XXXX ; XXXX XXXX ; and five XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, each as separate charges to total {$510.00}. I called XXXX and the urgent care in XXXX. I have a note with the paperwork that says " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' but don't remember who told me that name. I do remember the medical office person telling me she would call the laboratory and tell them the charge did not belong to me. Apparently that never happened. I get annoying phone calls multiple times per day. Today I tape recorded a call where I demanded Transworld Systems Inc stop calling my number and send any billing in writing. Four hours later they called me again. They said the bill they were trying to collect is from XXXX XXXX for {$510.00} incurred on XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: The loan servicer was contacted multiple times ( by phone and by email ) regarding how loan payments are applied. My son and I are co-borrowers on his student loan. On XX/XX/2019 at XXXX XXXX, I spoke with an employee at University Accounting Service , LLC . ( UAS ), requesting that any additional payment above the monthly due amount on the account be applied to principle. Upon requesting a confirmation number, the UAS employee told me that no confirmation number is generated for this type of request. The latest statement that we received regarding this account indicated that the XXXX payment, posted on XX/XX/2019, was all applied to interest. UAS was asked to correct the XXXX transaction and ensure future payments are applied correctly. Upon receiving a statement dated XX/XX/2019, I realized that payments were not applied correctly and contacted UAS again. Their reply on XX/XX/2019 was : Dear xxxx, Thank you for contacting University Accounting Service. Until the rest of the remaining balance of the interest is paid off, then the rest of the payments that you make, will be applied to the principal amount. As far as requesting that you make the loan a principal payment only loan, you would have to call in and request that to be done. If we can be of further assistance, please call our office at XXXX. Representatives are available weekdays from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX CST. Sincerely, Borrower Relations University Accounting Service , LLC . So I contacted them yet again, requesting that this matter be corrected. Their second reply on XX/XX/2019 was : Dear xxxx, Thank you for contacting University Accounting Service. As of today you have {$1000.00} of capitalized interest that has accrued on this account. Due to this being a line of credit and not a loan, there is no way to make a payment that applies directly toward the principle without satisfying the outstanding interest that has capitalized into the balance. That interest is now apart of your total balance and that total balance is now what the daily interest is accruing on and what has to be paid. If we can be of further assistance, please call our office at XXXX. Representatives are available weekdays from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX CST. Sincerely, Borrower Relations University Accounting Service , LLC . As of today, this matter is still not resolved as UAS is refusing to correctly apply payment made above the payment due amount.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint serves as a follow-up on complaint # XXXX. Previously, my student loan servicer " University Accounting Service '' ( UAS ) informed me that I held a student loan owned by a lender " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' ( XXXX ). UAS would not provide a copy of the master promissory note nor would they provide contact information for the listed lender XXXX. My own investigation of this lender suggests that this lender either does not exist or can not be contacted, which I believe violates my rights as a borrower. As a direct result of my previous complaint with the CFPB ( # XXXX ), UAS did eventually provide a master promissory note for this loan signed in 2008. However, both the creditor and the lender listed on the master promissory note have since declared bankruptcy. Given that neither the original creditor/lender nor the current lender can be contacted, I have serious concerns that my rights as a borrower are being violated in that I am unable to verify to whom I owe this debt. I am requesting that either UAS provide valid contact information for the lender or that UAS provide documentation that the lender ( XXXX ) is in fact an active organization ( there is no indication that this is currently the case ).

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to verify a debt on my credit report for over a year now. Transworld Systems Inc has refused to send any documentation regarding this debt and has been very difficult when trying to make settlement offers. I have evidence that this debt is not mine and they have not been very helpful. I have even offered a settlement amount just to get this off of my credit report. They will not lock in an amount. They keep changing the agreed amount and refusing to send a written agreement. Every time I call it is the same two women that answer one name I can not pronounce or spell and the team lead is XXXX XXXX. I have asked if they could email, fax or mail documentation to me. They state that they have mailed documentation to me on XX/XX/XXXX, but I have yet to receive anything. According to them this debt is from XX/XX/XXXX for {$7900.00}. I have faxed, mailed and attempted but they refused to email them documentation proving that this debt was not mine, I have provided them with proof of residency, and everything else they have asked for. But when I spoke to them last week they stated they only received my social security card and a letter of concern in XXXX. They just informed me on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX that they are going out of business. I have even reached out to XXXX the original account holder and they stated that after two years they archive their accounts and that there is not account associated with my name or social security number. I have even sent dispute letters to all three credit bureaus as a last resort so far XXXX has deleted it, and stated it is not my debt. I am just waiting for XXXX and XXXX to do the same. This company has been very difficult to deal with. Always stating that they need to speak with XXXX first before accepting a settlement amount. They will agree to one amount at XXXX and then by XXXX the amount has increased.

Please be advised that this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 { b } that your claim is disputed and validation is requested. This is NOT a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above-named Title and Section. I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. Consumer Complaint: I have had numerous issues with University Accounting Service ( UAS ) related to them losing my checks or allocating the checks to the wrong months and thus leading to late fees and delinquencies on my credit report. Below are the specific details : - In XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, two checks that I sent via my bank were lost by UAS or allocated to the wrong account by UAS resulting in late fees and a drop in my credit score. I repeatedly email and called UAS in XX/XX/XXXX and again in XX/XX/XXXX to resolve this issue. I even sent them copies of the cleared checks. - In XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX ( it is unclear from their website and with repeated discussions via phone ), another check was lost or allocated to the wrong account. They acknowledged that it was an error from the accounting department. - I send an electronic check via my bank account monthly 4-6 days before the due date on the first of every month. Despite, not making any changes in their recurrent payments, the check that was sent on XX/XX/XXXX to pay for the XX/XX/XXXX due date was instead allocated to XXXX. This caused a late payment for XX/XX/XXXX and no deduction of the amount that I already paid for XX/XX/XXXX. These are recurring issues with UAS. I have spent over 3 hours total with customer service. They are inept with understanding the issue, demand that I pay on the 1st of the month rather than 5 days earlier. The amount that I owe nor that amounts that I have already paid are not clear on their website. This makes tracking my payments difficult and I do not trust that their calculation of how much I still owe.
