Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I took out a 30-year mortgage with XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I paid all payments in full + {$400.00} toward the principal through XX/XX/XXXX. My mortgage was sold to TD Bank on XX/XX/XXXX, at which point I immediately paid my first payment to TD Bank ( again, full payment + {$400.00} toward principal ). My XXXX loan statement said I did not owe anything for the month of XXXX because the funds I'd been putting in escrow toward taxes would cover XXXX ( I ended up paying my taxes out of pocket, so they were effectively reimbursing me ). Here 's where things have gone awry. Halfway through XXXX, I got a note from TD bank saying i was >15 days overdue on my XXXX payment. Reason being : a previous payment had been reversed. The request to " reverse '' that previous loan payment came from another loan agency that *was not* XXXX XXXX - the organization from whom I originally received the loan. I called TD Bank *immediately* to learn more, and they told me they had to enter a request to their investigations team because they don't know what's going on.To be safe, I immediately made a payment. I also made my XXXX payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I have called TD Bank 3 times, and they have confirmed these payments were received, and I am no longer past due. All the while, I continue to receive weekly letters from TD Bank saying they're threatening to report me to the credit bureau and that this could result in foreclosure. No one at TD Bank will send me a written document to say that I have been incredibly proactive in working to resolve this issue. Additionally, no one from TD Bank has reached out with a status update, though I continue to ask them to do this. I call once per week, and they still have no update ( after 3 weeks! ). I am entering this complaint to document the steps I have taken and the lack of action on TD Bank 's part.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: I received information that fraudulent accounts were opened in my name. I contacted XXXX and XXXX agreed and removed this account. I have four separate bank accounts listed on this report all from TD bank. All TD checking accounts opened XX/XX/XXXX showing {$310.00} charged off, XX/XX/XXXX showing {$420.00} charged off, XX/XX/XXXX showing {$270.00} charged off and XX/XX/XXXX showing {$460.00} charged off. I disputed this with XXXX, sent police report and the copy of FTC complaint but TD refuses to not only remove it but even speak to me about it. When I call I get sent to many different departments all of which transfer me - no one knows who I should speak to. If I go to the branch they say they can not help me and to call. I need these removed, and an explanation as to how four accounts can be opened!!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I entered into Payment Cure Plan with XXXX XXXX XXXX online. The payments were set for automatic draft for XXXX, XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. After the 3 payments were made, the account was to be brought current. After the final payment was made, the account was not brought current. I attempted via online messaging to get the account corrected on XX/XX/XXXX. I was directed to call in. I have called on XX/XX/XXXX, and XXXX. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX. Each time I have been told different reasons my account was not reaged, and that it would be fix within a week. It is still not corrected. My account has now been sent to collections, when it should not even be considered late based on the payment agreement. During my most recent call, I was told that the agreement was made incorrectly and my account was not eligible to be reaged. I made my 3 payments as agreed and not red card is not keeping their end of the agreement and have since sent the account to collections. Even if the account was not eligible to be reaged, I was never informed of this and was going off the accepted agreement I have from them.

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Didn't receive terms that were advertised
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/19, I received a mailing from company advertising {$500.00} new account bonus for meeting certain conditions after opening a new checking and savings account. After having met all the offer terms, new account bonus was not paid despite all terms being met. After inquiry with financial institution, claims were made that a prior account was held and that the {$500.00} promotional offer was only available to new clients. However, the prior account was opened erroneously ( in error ) and TD Bank made it nearly impossible to close that account ( it was only after complaint to XXXX that the account was closed ). Furthermore, I received a direct, targeted mailing ( attached in photos ) constituting my eligibility for this offer. If it was said that I was ineligible, why was this offer sent to me?

Consumer Complaint: I did not apply for any credit cards with TD Retail Card Service, however there's an inquiry on my XXXX credit report on XX/XX/2019 that I did not authorize. I've tried contacting TD Retail card services and they are refusing to remove the inquiry. I've also contacted XX/XX/XXXX to get help with item and they too have refused to address this issue.

Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I am lodging a complaint against TD Bank XXXX AND XXXX XXXX NMLS : XXXX. My loan ( # XXXX ) was denied because of my credit profile. However, the XXXX credit report shows a score of XXXX out of a possible XXXX with nearly zero debt. Additionally, the underwriter assigned to my loan was negligent during their investigation with poor attention to details as they had requested multiple times for information that had already been provided, including repeated requests for items like the Escrow Analysis statement for subject property of which the underwriter had been informed ( on multiple occasions ) DOES NOT EXIST as the property has no mortgage currently. These and other oversights plus the fact that the underwriter took over 4 weeks to attempt to interpret my tax returns had left me with with suspicions of discrimination and concerns with the underwriters ability to fairly determine my eligibility. I brought these concerns to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/19 when he agreed that the underwriter had estimated my income incorrectly. XXXX then stated he would look in to it and get back to me in a day or two. Over the following month I had called XXXX multiple times with no return phone call. TD Bank was unresponsive to all requests for information and ultimately denied my loan under a faulty premise via an UNSIGNED statement of denial. I can provide supporting documents.

Consumer Complaint: Someone has opened up an account in my name with Nordstrom. I have continuously disputed this account and have spoken with several reps at Nordstrom. I was told by the Nordstrom reps to dispute the account with the collection bureaus, I have done everything asked of me, however they have done nothing to resolve this issue. I have sent in a Police Report and an FTC report and still nothing has changed.

Consumer Complaint: I am a TDbank checking account user and keep receiving emails from them on a saving offer of 2.5 % APY after depositing over XXXX USD. I did open it on XX/XX/2019 and deposited XXXX at the time I opened it and finished all the requirement they set up, however, I still did not see the 2.5 % APY rate showing in my account after the first month 's bill statement which was confirmed through their online account message center. Actually, you can see in the promotion offer, they advertise that I will get the APY in 10 days. Anyhow, it has been about 30 days. I would not have opened this account and transferred my money from another saving with 2.25 % APY. and keep losing my money with the TDbank. Thank you for your help.
