Consumer Complaint: I purchased a new XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX phone from XXXX XXXX. They arranged financing through TD Bank XXXX Financing. I was approved for financing and started to receive access to my new account via emails ( before I ever got any statements in the mail ). I sent up my account online and liked it to my checking account. During the solicitation of the purchase and financing I was told I could make 36 payments for the remaining balance with no interest. Once I set the account up online i sent a test ( {$35.00} on XXXX ) payment into the account just to make sure the account was working properly for payment. It was accepted and the money was taken from my bank account and my online account balance owed for XXXX/TD Bank XXXX was reduced accordingly. I subsequently got a welcome letter in the mail from XXXX/TD Bank XXXX welcoming me to the family so to speak. With that information was an indication of how much the monthly amount would be so I went back on line and made another payment ( {$2.00} on XXXX ) which would have put me above the amount required to pay by the first installment. On XX/XX/XXXX I made another payment of {$5.00} based upon what i saw online was " due ''. By this point I had paid in excess of what was required for the first monthly payment due on XXXX. On XX/XX/2020, I got a courtesy email from TD Bank XXXX Financing ( XXXX XXXX # XXXX ] TD XXXX Payment Reminder ) which stated, " Your TD XXXX credit card payment is due on XX/XX/2020. If you have already sent in at least your minimum payment, please disregard this reminder. '' I knew by this time i had sent well in excess of the required monthly minimum payment. To my surprise i went online today to check my account and there was a LATE CHARGE of {$27.00}. I called XXXX Customer Service first. They in turn referred me to TD Bank XXXX Financing at XXXX and i spoke with a representative by the name of XXXX. XXXX tried to tell me that because I sent them money ( which they accepted and credited towards my balance ) before the start of the first billing period it was not considered or given credit for the first billing statement and was only applied to the principle balance! In essence i should have waited until i got a bill before sending them any money even though they accepted the money and credited towards my balance but not towards the first monthly payment which was due according to them on the XXXX of XXXX. They offered to remove the late fee ONLY IF i paid the remaining amount they considered owed in the billing window. from the time the first statement was issued and the due date. This is in my opinion a deceptive practice and a de facto pre payment penalty! If they had refused acceptance of the payments prior to a bill being sent that would be one thing. However they accepted the payments and put them towards my balance before the due date. There is no excuse why those payments were not considered as satisfying the first monthly installment if they were received before the due date and after the account had been established and showed a balance owed. I notified them that i was not satisfied and I do NOT want any record on my credit regarding a late fee or failure to pay as agreed. One of the XXXX representatives stated before I was transferred to TD Bank XXXX that " the system '' didnt understand prepayments '' Thats not my problem. I specifically paid early so this would not happen while waiting on the first bill. This is a bait and switch!!

Account # XXXX the issue at hand is a late in XXXX 2020, Back in XXXX 2020 I was sick with XXXX I tried calling to defer the payment and could not reach anybody at TD Bank N.A. When I was well enough to work I did make the payment immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I looked on offerup at a listing with an item I was interested. It came with a number saying to text " XXXX '' and I got a response back for the item. The person supposedly names " XXXX XXXX '' told me I had to pay using XXXX. Which I used the TD Bank app and I sent money to someone names " XXXX XXXX '' with the phone number " XXXX '' I sent the money then a day later her told me I had to pay for a customs duty because my product was in XXXX for {$260.00}. By that point I wanted to get a refund for my money because I felt I should have to pay for a customs duty and I requested for one. Afterwards, he never sent me a response about giving me back a refund and stopped messaging me around XXXX EST XX/XX/2020.

Consumer Complaint: I was checking my XXXX credit report last XX/XX/XXXX and found two Hard inquiries from TD Bank dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX respectively without applying or even getting in touch with them .Called XXXX to ask why they told me to call TD Bank , which I did on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX at XXXX, spoke to supervisor XXXX about the two hard inquiries which she assured me that someone will come back to me within 3 Days ( no body did ). On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX called TD Bank, spoke to XXXX about the two hard inquiries and I tried to tell him there is a difference between hard inquiries and sharing information or reporting to credit agency, his answer was that TD Bank has the right to do so without even letting me know according to the customer agreement, so I asked for the agreement. TD Bank sent me the agreement which clearly shows they should not had made Hard inquiries. Today XX/XX/XXXX I found out that TD Bank had made a THIRD HARD INQUIRY with XXXX.I called TD Bank XXXX at XXXX and closed the credit card account and it was confirmed because at is at XXXX balance to end that saga. Now I have three hard inquiries from TD Bank for no reason and it is affecting my credit report for no reason. Please help me .THAN YOU

Consumer Complaint: I recently noticed that I have wrongly been charged {$65.00} in Late Fees. Through my bank I have set up automatic payments to be made every 4 weeks, thinking that there would not be a problem to pay off our debt a little quicker than obligated. In reviewing the XXXX statement, I noticed I was charged a late fee for a payment received on XX/XX/XXXX ; however, the XXXX statement showed that I had made two payments ( XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX ). So in actuality I had made early payments, not late. Not noticing the late fee charged, I was charged a second late fee for not paying the entirety of my XXXX balance ( because the fee was added to the balance ). I have never been behind in my payments, the problem is that TD Bank gives you a smaller window to pay than the billing cycle, so by making more frequent payments, they can charge erroneous fees. This is an unfair practice that should be stopped. The attached file shows the days on which I paid, every 28 days, and the days where erroneous late fees were charged.

Consumer Complaint: This account is being re-aged. My credit card account has reported multiple chargeoffs.This item is being reported inaccuratley and not congruent on your credit. Because of this negative reporting, the creditor is attempting to increase credit damage, and coerce payment by making the debt appear newer in age. This is a clear violation and this is hindering my ability to borrow. The " date of last payment '' and " date last active '' are all reporting different dates on all 3 credit bureaus. ( see attached ) Please delete this from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX credit card bill arrived and I noticed unauthorized charges. I immediately ( around XX/XX/XXXX ) called and notified the bank of the unauthorized charges. The bank stated that they would conduct and investigation. A few weeks later ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I received a letter asking me to confirm my dispute. I reaffirmed the disputed charges and sent back the letter on XX/XX/2020. A few weeks go by and I noticed I still being charge interest and late fee, so I called back. I was told that the case is closed and a request to reopen the case was submitted and someone will call me within 2-3 weeks. I called every few weeks and I am told that an investigator is going to call me. After a few months I ask to speak with a supervisor and he tells the same thing. Each time no investigator or supervisor has reached out to me by phone or by mail. I don't what the result of the investigation, however I'm still being charged interest and late fee.

Consumer Complaint: During COVID 19, like other millions of people around the world, I ran into a financial hardship. I am on social security XXXX. I rely on tenants so I rent rooms in my house. I had two girls renting that XXXX me ; they vandalized my home ; they stolen lots of valuables ( furs, XXXX jewelry, XXXX sunglasses, etc ) ; they vandalized my floors ; stolen household items, you name it. I had to file charges and the State Attorney is prosecuting them ; one was XXXX. This was one of the WORST experience in all the times I rented ; nightmare! Also, the tenants experienced losses through COVID ; reduced house ; laid off which made it hard for them to pay rent. I have been recuperating from their theft and their loss wages. It was hard keeping up on my bills. I called Nordstrom trying to explain the circumstances ; especially after they sent out communication saying they were there to help through COVID. When I called, the rep was very " cold '' ; didn't care ; told me I need to make a payment or they are closing the account. I had this account for years ; never late until recently. Not at all expected that lack of support or help. Based on the current conditions and their " we are here to help '' correspondence, I expected more. That put me in a deeper XXXX and I shut down!
